I had the handmade Vegetable Cold Noodles. Delicious! Sure, the employees don’t speak much English but who cares? I will DEFINITELY be back.

I’ve only had two things here so far, but so far I’m liking it! Their noodles are handpulled… YASS, so hard to find Taiwanese hand pulled noodles now a days, and on top of that it’s cheap! It’s the same price as Taiwanese restaurants that don’t use hand pulled noodles, which means they put in twice the effort! I didn’t experience bad service, just regular Asian restaurant service lol. Ya know the one where you order, get drinks, food, and ask for the check yourself. I didn’t experience any attitude at all so I’m good! I’ve had the jia jia mein, with the medium big noodles(MAHFAVE), and they xiao long bao, and what me and my boyf thought was beef noodle soup. but the soup is clear so we were confused? All were good, the xiao long bao, has a different type of skin than most places. Also, my jia jia mein wasn’t overly salty like a lot of places! The only complaint I will make is that they speak limited English, also the water they give isn’t cold): and they don’t provide you cups of ice, just empty cups. I’m sure if you ask though they’ll give you ice!

This place is awesome and deserves more stars. No, it’s not a high luxury service, and that’s not what this place is about– it’s about the food. The servers are super nice and don’t mind you waving them down or getting up and going to the counter for things. We got the best seat– right on the other side of the glass where YOUCANSEETHEWHOLEKITCHEN. Yep, that’s almost the entire back of house working HAND-MAKING all the noodles and everything. It’s really cool to watch! They are pro and you know exactly what you’re getting. The food is LOW-PRICED(competitive w/fast food pricing) but not overly-greasy. Instead it’s full of well-balanced spices and flavor. I got the juicy beef buns, the beef slices($ 5), the tomato egg noodles(huge bowl, $ 7), and two types of tea. Everything was delicious and I am looking forward to going back. Easy 5 stars based on the price of what you get ^^

Very good beef noodles. If you like beef noodles, this is a good place to be. Located next to the Golden Mile bowling alley, this restaurant is known for its lamb and beef noodles. Portion is generous and price is affordable($ 7.50). Service is surprisingly good at this restaurant. Will definitely repeat. Note: CASH only at this place.

Cheap noodles that taste great! I am a big fan of more«chewy» noodles, so if you are too, go for the«medium» thickness ones. Ordered the beef noodle soup! Granted, hunger is the best spice of all, but I ended up drinking 95% of the soup! Definitely would be worth coming back if I am hankering for a hot bowl of soup.

This place is great… Please ignore all the one star reviews… These people seem to be stuck up kids or something. «I had to pour my own water«. Okay… they give you a cup and a giant bottle to fill whenever your thirsty so you dont have to keep asking. You aint Lebron james or Taylor swift, pour your own water its not a big deal. » Cash only«Bro…This place is asian what do you expect… If you aint checking the register for that sign the first time you enter an asian restaurant, than you dont know what youre doing… That above is for the stupid one star reviews… now on to the food/price Noodles taste like its hand made/tossed. The food is freaken delicious for the price. And the presentation is very appetizing to my eyes. What are you expecting… Kobe beef? bro get outta here with that bull. The noodles are like 6 – 7 bucks, you aint getting no dough mixed with gold flakes and diamonds… Hella delicious for that price.

Not bad, but not great. I tried the beef noodle soup, green onion pancake, shrimp chive pork dumplings, and honey green tea. The beef noodle soup was pretty good and you can order the noodles according to your preferred size. I ordered medium size noodles, but it was more of a large. So you may want to order one size down. The beef noodle soup had good flavor with hints of tomato and spice. The chunks of beef tasted okay, but was on the chewy(not so tender) side. The noodles were cooked nice. The green onion pancakes were crispy and not too oily, and the quantity was almost overwhelming — which is a good thing from a value perspective. The dumplings were way off and we explained that to the staff. They were nice enough to remove it from our bill. The honey green tea was not at the caliber of a dedicated tea house, but good enough to complement a meal. Like I said, not bad, but not the best. Try the beef noodle soup. They also offer different variations of the beef noodle soup. That seems to be their specialty.

Impressive 4 kinds of hand pulled noodles. They havent perfected the hot/cold boiling texture but its still good. CASHONLY. A1&A2 were both huge portions, ALOT of noodles. Be prepared for food to go. Broth is clean but doesn’t fit the dish well, maybe needs more flavor than marrow and salt. Noodle soup is around $ 7.49, spicy beef appetizer $ 3.99 — it wasnt spicy at all, and a bit too light. Their own chili oil sauce is surprisingly pretty bomb. It looks like other chili jar sauces but theres some type if added salted taste, like the black thick and oil sauce for hot pot. Lots of parking. Shared bathroom in bowling alley. Across from 168 market.

I would give no star for the service I get from here if Unilocal have the no-star option. They never admit their problems and always try to avoid them. It’s the attitude that keeps customers from comming back. It’s CASHONLY restaurant without any notice from outside, not even any sign on the door. The only way you get to know this is from a standard A4 paper sticks on the counter inside. You will never see the sign if there’s somebody standing in front of counter, which happens most of time. After we’re told it’s cash only, we pointed out that we didn’t see any sign from outside and the paper is so hard to see, they didn’t admit about this and try to avoid the responsibility. They said it’s easy to see but the truth is, You won’t see the sign unless they have seated you and there’s nobody standing in front of counter. No to mention that we order one noodle with cilantro the other without and they didn’t give us the cilantro in both.

Two stars for«OK» service. to my disappointment, the noodles were«hand pulled» in vary sizes from 2 mm to 10 mm. wtf? i had skinny, medium and thick noodles in the bowl. the soup tasted like one from instant noodle. the beef was bland and had no taste. terrible. This place is just one of too many Chinese restaurants who open a restaurant and«hope» to make money, without putting any attention and love into their food. The food was very disappointing. We came here because their advertisement of «lan zhou style hand pulled noodle», which means the noodle are freshly made by hand when ordered. we ordered a spicy beef soup skinny noodle, lamb soup skinny noodle, and some appetizers. I could’ve made a better meal at home with my «high end» instant noodle.

Flavor was weird. I might not know much about Northern Chinese noodle but if this is what it tastes like then this cuisine isn’t for me. The oily soup base beef noodle and the Xi long bao taste like shit They are just special on the hand-made noodle inside the open kitchen

This is a review for the Lan Zhou La Mian, beef noodle soup that this place specializes in. This type of noodle is very important to me as this is probably the only Chinese food I like now. There are 3 parts of this dish, which is noodle(really good here), soup(why they use pork soup base is beyond my understanding) and the beef(incredibly dry and chewy and horrible). I give it 2 stars because it takes skills to make the noodle, but the food is a huge disappointment. Won’t come back if they don’t change

Gave this place a try this afternoon, and I can honestly say it’s pretty rare to encounter food as terrible as what they serve here. They supposedly specialize in various soup noodles, namely beef noodle soup. Our table got a variety of soup noodles, and they all tasted like MSG mixed in hot water. There was no rich brothy flavor that you’d expect from a beef noodle place. Especially in the San Gabriel Valley(land of abundant great chinese food), this place is a definite fail and I don’t expect it’ll be around too long. I left my bowl of noodles virtually untouched– thats how bad it was. Got a bahn mi sandwich on the way home for $ 3, which was way better than the $ 8 bowl of «beef noodles» I ordered here. They also serve beef rolls, which is sort of the signature dish of Noodle 101 next door. I didn’t order the rolls, but the noodles are definitely no comparison with Noodle 101; does not even come close. I’m sure they thought they could take some of Noodle 101’s business(since there’s always a line there), but they’re gonna have to do a heck of a lot better than what they’re doing! On top of the bad food, the wait staff seemed exceptionally incompetent. Definitely won’t be back. There’s just way too many other, better options in the SGV for noodles.

Tbh I wouldn’t have thought to come here if it wasn’t attached to the bowling alley I was at as anything with the name China and tasty in it probably isn’t good for my low carb diet lulz but what a find! We got the pork dumplings and shrimp wonton with chili sauce and my oh my is that GEWDDD. The wontons in chili is a MUSTTRY. minimum $ 20 for card transactions though! They were nice enough to let me use debit under the limit since it was my first time there, how nice! Prices are decent and they seem to have lots of yummy things on the menu. If you’re a spicy food lover come try them! Plenty o parking in the lot in a little plaza with bowling, boba shop.

Well opened for only 8 weeks and this is already my second time here! Yes the food here is definitely tasty! My parents agree — since it was my dad that wanted to come here for lunch a few days ago. The service was great — there was only one waitress but she was very sweet and friendly — was trying to explain to me that they didn’t have picture menus(the first time they did — guess they were making changes to them) and only can pencil in our orders on the order sheet, she was pretty apologetic but I told her it’s okay since I know what I was going to order anyways. We ordered almost the same stuff as last time: Beef Rolls, Pan Fried Potstickers, but this time we tried the Pork Steam Buns and the Beef Noodles — though it wasn’t the beef stew noodles I expect but it was made with thinly sliced beef — kind of like phở but with thick noodles. It was good but I prefer beef stew. The Pork Steam Buns were good too — very juicy! Sadly I feel like they still don’t get as much business as they should — cause 101 Noodle Express expanded and it looks like they are pretty busy but here there were only two other diners — but then again we had lunch here around 2:30ish on a weekday. The food and prices are really comparable to 101 Noodle Express and so if you like them, I think it would be nice to give this place a try too. And I kind of think the service is better too… at least quicker and friendlier.

This is one of the newest Chinese Restaurant open in the valley of Alhambra; share the same space of the bowling. I was surprise to find one this one serve spicy food. From the outside, it looks like a tea shop or Taiwanese food. Those spicy shop are popping out everywhere now in the San Gabriel Valley. At top of their spicy food, they got dumpling and also you guess it tea and dessert. I try several items here. We ordered the chicken gizzard and lamb skewers. Those skewers were just ok, I do like the gizzard more than the lamb. As for the entrée, we order the boiled fish and the beef teppanyaki. The fish were good, but the beef was excessively oily. Me and my friend both has to head to restroom not too long after we eat that. Price here isn’t cheap, is about the same as some more famous shop. I don’t know if I come back here, so many option. But if you wanted get something to eat after bowling without driving, this is worth a look. Definite beat eating crappy pizza and hot dog from the bowling.

Invited by LA Chihuo, I had my first dining experience here a few days ago. It almost immediately turned me to one of their regulars. This is my third time here within a week as I’m typing. The food is surprisingly good especially if you love spicy. Even if you don’t, they have tons of items that are not spicy as well. Totally worth a try! Food ordered and recommended– Torn pancake Hot and spicy calamari Spicy frog Pickled pepper grilled fish Hot and spicy chicken Beef roll pancake Fish head tofu soup
