If I didn’t know better, I would’ve thought for sure I was being punked! Attended a wedding reception recently and I was SO underwhelmed, it was ridiculous. At the bar, ordered a Bloody Mary. Was told they couldn’t make that. Then ordered a Long Island iced tea. Again was told that they couldn’t make that. Finally settled on having a Corona, which they quickly ran out of. Really? You don’t go & open another case of beer? Wow. Soup & salad were nothing spectacular, but edible. Brought dinner rolls to the table. There were enough in the basket for two people! Dinner came(lukewarm at best) and the portions were so small that I saw more of the plate than I did of food! This place was SO bad! I can’t believe that they are able to make a profit and stay open! Avoid at all costs!

It’s a «meh», type of restaurant. Service was decent, just a shade above average, and enough to feel attended to. The food was below average, the grade where thoughts of «I could’ve made this better,» creeped in often. They made a spaghetti with meat sauce, but they used angel hair and it was overlooked and slimy. One of the servers spilled soup all over one of the place settings and silverware, and he didn’t apologize or attempt to replace with clean ones. The chicken parmesan was also disappointing, and I would be shocked if it was made fresh or even in house. The ambience was old and creepy, due to the outdated décor and dark lighting. For my money, I’d rather do Olive Garden for the quality of food and the fun and lively atmosphere. I think I read that there’s live music here some nights, so that could be a reason to try it. I gave two stars because some people in my party liked the food and they didn’t have as many complaints. I won’t be back unless someone invites me to try again.

I saw an ad on facebook for the Mother’s Day brunch here and decided we’d give it a try. There were 5 of us in our party. We made reservations ahead of time and arrived about 10 minutes before our seating. It’s kind of awkward having to stand right at the top of the stairs while you wait, and there are others up there waiting too. But they got us seated and said someone would be over shortly, but we were free to go start getting our food at the buffet line. We headed in and there were breakfast options as well as pastas and Italian fare. There were no glasses by the mimosa station, so we weren’t sure how that worked. We got back to the table and we were finally approached to see how many of us wanted a glass for the mimosas. My husband didn’t want a mimosa and asked if he could have an iced tea. This was an additional cost. Apparently only coffee and mimosas were included with the brunch buffet. Fine. But here’s a suggestion — my 11 year old daughter doesn’t drink mimosas nor coffee. So, water it was for her because she wasn’t even offered something as simple as just orange juice(why? There was orange juice for the mimosas — all she needed was the juice — not the booze). The glasses that were on the table were filled with water while we were at the buffet getting our food, so it wasn’t as if she could take her glass up to get some juice. Pretty sad for $ 37 a head that you can’t even get a tea or soft drink for an adult — but whatever. But no drink option available for the kids? I know the kids were only $ 17 or something like that — but come on. And the food was just good — nothing exceptional really. And some of the pasta dishes were pretty dried out like they had been sitting there cooking on those sternos for a long time. Weird because our reservations were at 10:15, so it’s not like we were the last seating. But then, the real kicker was when the check came. Automatic gratuity added on. For a party of 5. Typically we see this for parties of 6 or 8 minimum. Not 5. And they charged a full 20%. For what??? The only thing our«waiter» did was bring us plastic flutes for our mimosas and bring my husband’s iced tea(which he never refilled even though he walked by multiple times). In fact, the waiter was bustling around as if he were in the weeds and busy. Again, doing what? The most he was responsible for were any fountain drinks or bar drinks ordered from the menu — nothing else. The food, coffee and mimosas all had to be obtained by the people dining themselves. I don’t mind tipping for service — it’s something that we go in expecting to do when we dine out. But to give no one a choice and to just add 20% to their bill for a party of 5(4 adults and 1 child) for a BUFFET just astounds me. Nothing like taking Mother’s Day and running away with everyone’s $$$$$. Over $ 33(almost the cost of another adult head!!) just in gratuity. For food and drinks we served ourselves!!! Extremely disappointed. Paid $ 215 for a meal that wasn’t even that fantastic and service that left a lot to be desired. Oh! And — not once, but twice — another waitress was coming thru when we passed and she didn’t stop, pause or even say excuse me – if it weren’t for us moving out of the way, there may have been a collision. It was like WE didn’t matter — only THEY did. We are your GUESTS — treat us that way. We will not go back. This was our first impression of this restaurant and I can say — they bombed.

We’ve been here twice now, and both times the service was excellent, and all of the food was delicious. They have a good variety on the menu; we’re drawn to the specials, but they have all the basic Italian dishes on the regular menu as well. We’ll definitely be back!

I took a date here and was pleased with the experience. We had some wine, the ravioli and the spaghetti and meatballs with vodka sauce. All was very good, the drink selection appeared to be extensive, and the place was clean. It’s a good place to try, however, it is also difficult for me to recommend eating out at an Italian place when you can make it just as well at home for a fraction of the price.

Came here for the first time on the recommendation of a friend. I couldn’t be happier I did. Mandile’s was a refreshing change from the run of the mill Italian restaurants. Food is wonderfully prepared and beautifully plated. The oil and vinegar mixture served with the bread is beyond excellent. Having been there now several times, I’ve noticed the service is hit and miss. I have experienced both exceptional and horrible service while dining here. I love the food, and depending on the day, the service. It’s is definitely worth giving it a try.

Wine & Dined here for our Valentines Day Dinner! Very Romantic Setting with the dark lighting and that Italian restaurant feel. I started the night off not as I had hoped because I ordered a wine that for some reason I thought was bubbly but it was not. However, I was pleasantly surprised ! it was great red wine very light and had a nice finish. Boyfriend just ate an appetizer because I did not want Baked Clams but he enjoyed them just said it had very potent garlic flavor which is a good thing. We both had soups I think my boyfriend really enjoyed his which was a bacon special one. My minestrone was nothing special. Boyfriend ordered their gnocchi in the tomato basil sauce and he thought it was really good he was just stuffed. I ordered their Shrimp & Scallop risotto dish it was a Valentine Special. Shrimp was good. One of my scallops was perfect another was not cooked as great. However the risotto was very good! I also really liked the white sauce it was in. Not too heavy. Since we got wine no dessert too stuffed. Overall, Very good experience. As far as service goes it started well and was quick but our entrees took a little too long. At first I was not thrilled by the hostess taking our picture I thought it was going to turn out terrible but she did a good job. I was just a little tipsy and needed to chill.

Tried Mandile’s about 5 months ago. Food was good not great but good. Decided we would give them another try. Made reservations for 8 pm tonight. Arrived at 7:55. I was told there was a little wait. There was one couple and a party of 5 or 6 ahead of us. Another couple checked in right after. They seated couple ahead of us then they seated couple after us. At this point we have been waiting 15 minutes. I went back to hostess and she mumbled something. I asked how much longer and she said she didn’t know. So we wait 10 more minutes and I noticed they were setting up a table in the main pathway where everyone was waiting to be seated. After 25 minutes of waiting they decide to seat us at this table. Now I can understand things happen but come on we came there for Valentine’s date. So I called another Italian restaurant who didn’t overbook themselves and I am heading there now. Hostess really needs to learn a little better service as her only response when I said we wouldn’t take the table was«ok», no let me get the managers. Also maybe they need to learn a better system for reservations because several others were angry and we weren’t the same only ones to leave. So that was two visits and two not great experiences sorry but you have lost a customer.

It has taken me quite sometime to review, but I wanted to make sure I got on here. I moved into the neighborhood a little over a year ago. The service, food and atmosphere are fantastic. I even catered a wedding shower and the owner was so accommodating he had a cook come in early to make the food and he was there to take payment, so I was able to pick it up in time to serve by noon. My order was only around $ 250.00, so opening early was him doing a favor for me not the other way around. We visit often, and looking forward to the next time.

10÷2÷2015 We seen On facebook that they were offering buy one brick oven pizza and get one of equal or lesser value for $ 2. Sounded like an amazing deal. We tried it… they didn’t disappoint. It was truly amazing… 10÷9÷15 Ordered again a week later and the pizza was totally different. From the sausage, the crust and the olives They went from a ground sausage to links that they didn’t even think to take out of the casing and break up. The crust was like a cracker crust and the first one had a variety of olives this last one only had green and black. :( I was totally disappointed. Not sure I will be able to order from there again. Sorry Mandile’s

My husband and I tried this restaurant after seeing a Groupon deal online. The voucher stated«reservations required, but the gentleman who answered the phone just said to come on in. When we arrived at about 5:45pm, on a Thursday, it was dead. It was almost awkward, being the only two people in the restaurant! Luckily three other couples followed shortly thereafter(phew!). After being seated, we were quickly served water, fresh crusty bread, and a dipping sauce of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, fresh herbs and garlic that was actually pretty good. I’d prefer good old herbed oil and parmesan, but the dip was interesting. My lasagna was definitely five stars. Seriously amazing. I’m always worried if I’ll like the red sauce at any new restaurant, because it’s hit or miss, but it was seriously perfect. Just the right proportions of ricotta, meat, sauce, and cheese. My husband’s chicken marsala, however, wasn’t his favorite. The chicken was rubbery, and not tender at all, and the sauce was the consistency of water. The pasta was perfectly cooked and had a good flavor though. My husband also really enjoyed his minestrone. The tiramisu was perfect(but so large, I could only eat half)! My husband’s chocolate gelato was spot-on as well. Our server, James, was very attentive and provided excellent customer service. Overall, the restaurant presents itself like a super — upscale(stuffy, even) type of place – which doesn’t really jive with its strip-mall location and the paper tablecloth liners. The prices were reasonable(just over $ 50 +tip) and the food was delicious(mostly), so they could get away with a more laid back vibe, and a trendier atmosphere, rather than the«first date italian restaurant» vibe. I’ll be back though, if only for the lasagna ;)
