2nd Wind Exercise

If I could give a negative star, I would. Bill, the «store manager» was extremely offensive and disrespectful all in a matter of 5 minutes.
We planned on purchasing a piece of equipment tonight that the Algonquin store has listed on Craig’sList (which he admitted they leave posts up long after the items sell to get people in the door). He tried upselling a unit that was over 3x what we planned to spend and way out of our price range.
Bill further illustrated his customer service skills as he told me to «relax» after I questioned why he was searching online for a machine they sold last week. He told me he works 50 hours a week and didn’t apologize for wasting our time. When I explained my reservation of stopping by based on poor Unilocal reviews of 1 star for their customer service, he corrected me that they are at a 3.5 rating and to have a «positive day» as I left.
Take your money elsewhere… To a place that appreciates the meaning of customer service and holds integrity in honest sales. Word of mouth is a powerful form of advertising (potentially more so than CraigsList). I look forward to sharing this experience with others to save them the trouble.

Agree. VERY push. Will try and upsell you to a more expensive model and not give you reasons why one is better than the other. Other than we’re the best retailer with the best equipment, blah, blah, blah. All the while telling me the item I wanted is a piece of junk and he could never sell it to me. So you’re the best retailer but you sell junk? No wonder the place is always empty. Stay away.

This place does false ads. sales people are pushy and bad sales pitch !! I’d rather buy stuff off ebay or Craigslist, their stuff here is expensive and mostly works bad..

You should go here to shop for exercise equipment if you…
A. Want to waste your time talking to a pushy sales person about a machine you know more about than they do.
B. Want said salesman to persistently call you to pressure you to make a purchase.
‘Nuff said.

I went here looking to buy an exercise machine for home and the guy here immediately steered me away from the reasonably priced machine to a machine that cost nearly $ 3,000. When I asked why this one was better he couldn’t go into any details about why it was worth 2.5 times the price of the one I was looking at.
Also he was very ‘high pressure’ to close the deal — I left and didn’t go back.

Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Great customer service! If you’re looking to make a purchase of exercise equipment, do not go to Dick’s, Walmart or any Big Box Store. Go to 2^nd Wind… You’ll be glad you did! I sure was.
