I love this Carousel in particular because they allowed my 6 year old Autistic Daughter to ride for free, I of course got on free because I was stood next to her. We road 3 rounds she was happy, I was done and all was great. She can’t wait to return to ride the various«old school» and«new school» character to ride.

The ride was fun BUT… The attendant showed up 10 min late for her shift. She was so grumpy, looked like she just crawled out of bed. Let’s just say she was the grinch of the carousel. One grinch steals the magic of Christmas and this grinch steals the happiness of the carousel. Goodness she wouldn’t even answer questions just kind of grunt around. I wasn’t the only mom there bothered by her either this morning.

I’m an adult… ok, a big kid at heart. I have loved carousels my entire life and this one is still in the top two!(Seaside OR being the other one). Clean, dry, and temperature controlled year round because it is inside the mall. I’ve ridden it and so has my daughter. My only complaint is that she is now old enough to get married and since I don’t have grandchildren yet I will have to find another excuse to climb on board and hear the bell ring. I am also a photographer and I love the uniqueness and brilliance of color on the various«horses». Price is reasonable and the people who run it are friendly and outgoing. A special treat for all!

If you’re a little kid, this carousel’s awesome. If you’re the parent of a little kid, the carousel here could be used as please-let-Mommy-shop bribe material without doing too much harm. It costs $ 2 or 3 for $ 5, and under-42″ tall kids need to have a parent with them(for free). With a 200-lb. weight limit on the horses that go up and down, you can indulge your inner child without guilt. I did, and I’m glad. It’s still fun at almost 40. The granny who operates the carousel some of the time is friendly and helpful, she smiles and waves at the kids on the ride in a way a jaded midway carnie just isn’t going to consider, but hey, this is a mall in Auburn, not the traveling state fair crew. The carousel is clean and nicely painted. It seems old-fashioned but I’m pretty sure it’s actually modern. Not much music, but they do still ring a real bell as they start off. Classic, and a great addition to this mall.
