Let me sum this up as quickly as I can — DONTEATHERE! Staff: RUDEANDCLUELESS Location: DIRTY Food: let’s be honest, it’s Subway … My expectations were low and met. Advice to management/owner: take a look at changing the schedules of your employees. Some of them are more interested in talking with each other than being paid to make sandwiches.

Yeah, it’s Subway and the food isn’t the best, but I work right near there and it’s good for a quick bite that isn’t too fattening. My problem is the girls who work behind the counter. What’s with the attitude? I mean, I’m sure it’s annoying to be dealing with a bizzillion tourists and I get that people can be rude, but when I come in and try to be polite to you, I expect the same in return. It shouldn’t be that difficult. Last time I was there, I come in and the girl who was supposed to be taking my order was distracted by something and talking to the other girl in spanish(rude) and not listening to anything I was saying. I ordered a six inch whole wheat with turkey and american. She gets the bread then says, «What kind of meat?» I’m like, «Turkey and American cheese» She’s talking in spanish again to the other girl then says to me, «Do you want cheese?» Finally I get annoyed and ask her why I am having to repeat myself three times? Then she gets an even bigger attitude. I shouldn’t even be eating there. It’s not the most nutritious food. I think this last encounter sealed the deal for me. I’ll just go someplace else when I need something quick to eat.

Service was terrible and slow. After waiting forever asked to use the bathroom and she told me I could only use it after ordered my food. Seems a bit inconsiderate. Went down the road and had some awesome chipotle. Much nicer people and service!

Been here many times. Only game in town for«deli». Food is mediocre. Owner needs to synchronize menu board with what he charges.

It is just an awful how this place has been run over the last few years. I’m being so harsh because there seems to be a lot of potential with the location and the general looks of the establishment. They have a track record of hiring the worst people. I understand and speak Spanish and I have overheard the employees talking about the most inappropriate things. It’s my belief as well that if they think you are Hispanic and don’t talk Spanish to them they cop a serious attitude. Currently the layout of the syrups and creamers is so awkward and messy. I have three times(I know, I’m an idiot) tried to get an iced coffee and it’s always been disastrous, how you screw that up is beyond me. I have a feeling the owners just have no clue how to run a place.

Convenient to my office but sometimes painful to deal with this Subway is either great and quick or horrible, dirty and slow as molasses. I saw an artist folding the sandwich in half by putting his hand in the middle of the sandwich — needless to say I didn’t order that day. I wish there were other options but not much on the north side of Old Town.

This is a typical Subway. You get what you order. If they don’t give you enough toppings, ask for more(only extra meat and cheese adds to the cost). Don’t forget to ask for the spinach. Most of the toppings are fresh veggies, so they are delicious. You can eat a very healthy meal in Subway if you get a lean meat and lots of veggies and no mayo, stick to the spicey mustard or other healthier toppings. Go light or just eliminate the cheese, which is loaded with fat like most other cheeses. A lot of Subway’s are owned by recent immigrants, so no reason to be critical since you are still buying American. Must be a great opportunity for them to experience the American dream of owning your own business.

Prepare for your blood pressure to increase. If you have a heart condition, be warned. Ordering a sandwhich here at lunchtime is similar to placing a stock order on the NY Exchange floor in the 1980’s. Pure chaos. If you want to feel like a fat pig heading to the slaughter house go at lunch and get dominated in line by the poor employees trying to do their best to abide with the owners wishes. Extremely friendly staff, awful managment policy on rushing guests through the line. Too bad.

Fresh Everything but between no one hardly speaking English and them not caring about how they craft your sandwich, it really make the experience bad(especially) during the lunch rush. Like the décor and atmosphere though. just need better employees

There aren’t many places to duck in and grab something«fast food”-ish that far down King Street. There are plenty of great restaurants, but I can’t always sit down for an hour to enjoy a meal. When Subway opened a few blocks from the office, I was excited. It’s a «Subway Café» — one of their more upscale restaurants. It’s still very clean on the inside. It’s busy during lunch, so I try to hit it before or after the noon rush. They’re quick — it takes only a few minutes to get through the line. And it’s cheap — not to mention healthier than a trip to McD’s or Taco Bell. They’re also doing breakfast now, and it’s actually pretty good. You can get in and out of there for less than $ 10, so it’s definitely a good deal.
