Potomac River Boat

I highly recommend taking the taxi for a fun scenic trip on the river! The price from Old Town to the National Harbor is $ 8 per adult for one way. The taxi goes from the national mall to old town then on to the national harbor. I’m not aware of what it costs to get on at The Mall but I’d imagine the further you travel the price would increase accordingly. There is a separate taxi for old town to Georgetown as well. The trip from Old Town to the National Harbor was about twenty minutes. There is some outside seating on the heat but it’s mostly seating in the air-​conditioned main cabin. Bonus: they gave water for you to drink onboard too. They run between national harbor and a Old a Town every 40 minutes do you want to plan accordingly. This was a fun way to get over to the National Harbor for the day and much more scenic than driving there!

It was fun but little expensive, $ 25 per person. Trip was from Alexandra to Gerogetown and it took about an hour each way. It was more fun come back because of sunset!

My family and I took a one way trip to Georgetown from Alexandria and it was really great. We had taken the metro to Alexandria but wanted a more scenic trip back to our hotel. We all enjoyed the river cruise. It was a very smooth ride not to many waves and you had a really cool view of the airport and the planes taking off. This was a really great addition to our vacation.
