I am old school, Shakey’s Pizza was the go to pizza back in my day, this is Shakey’s all over again, simply the best pizza on the face of the planet. I don’t do delivery, always pick up and my pizza is perfect every single time. the staff is awesome, they treat me like the loyal customer that I am. I had never heard of Paisano’s b4 but I am so glad this location opened. they make my pizza just how I like it. all veggies are fresh. keep up the good work Eisenhower Ave!!!

The pizza is high in sodium and makes me very gassy. I only eat their salads. If you’re looking for a great pizza in Carlyle area, go to Delia’s or order from Quattro Formaggi. Much better quality pizza.

This is our go-to place for a night of pizza and hot wings. I highly recommend the Paulie’s(which they took out and then put back in the menu recently); it has pepperoni, extra mozzarella cheese, tomato, and lots of garlic. The hot wings also have a good amount of heat. For a pizza joint, they also make delicious lasagna and spaghetti. Try the baked spaghetti, which is topped with loads of mozzarella over pasta and meat/tomato sauce and your option of meatballs(for an additional charge). The reason I knocked down a star is because they’ve messed up our order once.

We love Paisaanos pizza. I would gladly give 5 stars for the pizza, but I’m not very impressed with the Eisenhower location. When they opened up the new location we had to switch our orders for delivery from The Arlington location. Whereas when we used to order from the Arlington location the food would arrive within 25 – 30 minutes it took 45 minutes with the new Eisenhower location. Additionally, it seemed like the Eisenhower franchise skimped on the chicken for the chicken salad. However, recently the service and timeliness has improved. While still not at the Glebe road standards they are improving.

I had the same issue as another reviewer, Chris I. I placed a carry out order over the phone for a sausage parmesan sub and was told it would be 10 minutes. I arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes later and paid for my meal and was told it would be another minute or two. Ok, no big deal. …except I ended up waiting another 25 minutes(in addition to the 10 minutes I allotted after the phone call) as multiple customers came in, placed orders, received their food, and left. Finally, someone asked what I was waiting for and I told them my order. Turns out it had been sitting on the counter in the kitchen area since I walked in. Great, a cold sandwich. Oh well. Got back to my place to eat it and found a pube on the sandwich. Nice. Guess it was just icing on the cake. I’m under the impression they haven’t been operating from this location very long, so maybe they’re still working out the kinks? Either way, the experience was a waste of time and money. Would not go back.

I called ahead and ordered a medium New York Gourmet vegetarian pizza. The crust was tasty and very chewy. The ingredients tasted fresh and the pie wasn’t overbearing with sauce. I really enjoyed Paisano’s and will order from there again.

I ordered delivery from them recently. The wings were pretty good, the hot sauce was actually spicy. Unfortunately, the pizza just was not good. We ordered the big paisanos, which we had at a different Paisano’s in the past and enjoyed. The dough was very flat and the pizza tasted simply bland and lacked any flavor. Will not be ordering from them again.

The wife and I ordered for delivery from Paisano’s Pizza on two separate occasions. While Paisano’s has a diverse(perhaps too diverse) menu offering pizza, wings, pasta, calzones, strombolis, burgers, wraps, sandwiches, and subs, we stuck with what likely should be its wheelhouse, NY style gourmet pizzas. Paisano’s website allowed for ordering online, which I found to be a huge plus since we could pay by credit card online or just pay by cash with the delivery person. We paid by credit card the first time and by cash the second; each time our bill was correct and the transaction a snap. On our first go with Paisano’s, we had the small(10″) Meat Lovers with pepperoni, meatballs, ham, Italian sausage, and mozzarella; and the small Garlic Spinach with garlic sauce, feta, spinach, mushroom, onion, and fresh tomato. On our second attempt, we had the small Garlic Spinach, again, and the small Big Paisano’s with pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham, meatball, green pepper, onion, mushroom, and black olive. On both occasions, our experience with Paisano’s was fairly consistent. Our food was delivered right around 30 minutes. I can’t claim to even be a novice on what makes up or defines a NY style pizza and I certainly can’t claim to know if this was an authentic NY style pizza. More importantly to us, our pies looked to have been made properly with all of our required toppings in reasonable amounts. The crust had a good flavor and nice chewiness, but both of our pies on our first order seemed a bit underdone. Also, although we live literally minutes away from Paisano’s, our pizzas weren’t as hot as we thought they should’ve been. Using that initial experience, on our second order we preheated our oven and pizza stone while we waited and threw our second round of pizzas in the oven to cook/heat up to a more desirable doneness. However, in both instances, we found the pizzas to be flavorful and reasonably satisfying in terms of value received. Will we order from Paisano’s again? Most likely. Was it the best pizza I’ve ever tasted? Far from it, but it was far from the worst, too. It did deliver, literally and figuratively, what we expected from delivery pizza.

A bit of a surprise here. My pie was New York tasty with a yummy blanket of cheese and a sauce that Don Corleone might give an approving nod. The crust chewy but good. Yup, this is a solid pizza option and certainly better than Dominoes’ beleaguered pie.

I’ve never had a bad experience with them. The food is always good and the delivery is always fast. They’re one of the very few delivery restaurants I frequent.

I ordered a steak and cheese last night to be delivered. I order from here all of the time and nothing has gone wrong… until last night. I bit into a sharp white object, that would neither break nor bend once I pulled it out of my mouth. I went to speak with the manager today about what happened and was only offered another sandwich… ummm I think not…

Sitting just above Domino’s on the tiered list of pizza chains, Paisano’s offers soft crusted pizza and an assortment of sandwiches and calzones. For this particular visit I had ordered a Steak and Cheese. The Bad: As one who enjoys drinking water more so than a soda(but significantly less than beer) I asked for a cup of water. What I received was warm tap water with a slight taste of grease. Mmmmm. I ordered a Steak and Cheese but I suppose that was interpreted as a Steak and Cheese Platter so I got fries whereas I didn’t want them. They were average. They must import the most expensive green peppers ever because it costs an extra 50 cents to have them on your sandwich. The Good: The Steak and Cheese itself tasted decent enough. Not a minuscule amount of steak that places around here seem to embody, but nothing overtly special about it either. Meh. Service was friendly, though.

For the past 5 or so years I’ve used Unilocal to look things up as opposed to offer my opinions on any particular establishment. My experience here, however, warrants some form of feedback. I walked in at 1:59 pm with 1 person ahead of me and placed my order(a gyro platter). I asked how long the food would take, and was told to wait 10 – 15 minutes. That’s acceptable, so I took a seat and waited. 2:15 rolled around and literally 7 other customers had come and gone with their food, though they had arrived after me. Whatever. It happens. I am, however, working from home today and had a conference call to dial into at 2:45, so I started getting a little antsy. I walked back up to the counter and asked a lady how much longer my food should take, and she looked back into the kitchen(not sure what she was looking at, because there was nothing there) and told me to wait 3 – 5 minutes more. So I waited. 2:40 came around and I literally could not wait any longer, so I asked them to cancel my order. They couldn’t find my order, because there was nothing in the system. This part is remarkable, given that the charge appeared on my bank account. After some digging they were able to finally provide me a refund. 45 minutes, no food, plenty of run around, seconds to spare before my conference call started. If I could give 0 stars I would, so let’s pretend the 1 star represents the 1 order they failed to properly execute for me today. Thanks for nothing.

I didn’t realize that there was any space at all between Sumo and Hunan, but they somehow managed to squeeze a pizza place right in the middle. After noticing their sign being lit up for a couple of weeks, I made it over to Paisano’s for lunch to give them a try. There isn’t any seating inside, but there are plenty of tables and chairs on the covered patio outside. There are salad, calzone, and pasta options available, but I went for the $ 6 lunch special, which is 21-topping slices and a can of soda. The slices aren’t listed on the menu, but they rang up as $ 2.50 each, with $.50/topping, so basically you get the soda for free. Anyway, I tried the onion and the spinach. The crust was the best part of the pizza — thin and crispy, and held up to the cheese/sauce/ingredients well. It wasn’t completely loaded with toppings, but they were adequate in quantity, well distributed, and tasted fresh. Could have used a little more(or tastier) pizza sauce though. This is just under a 3.5 for me. Probably not my pick for best pizza in the area, but Paisano’s has a great price and location combination, and is definitely a fine choice if you’re in the mood for a quick pizza(I should mention that they also deliver!). I wouldn’t mind coming back again for more pizza, or maybe to try the garlic knots and calzones.
