Outback Steakhouse

One of our favorite restaurants for a great meal! They have the best sirloins and cook them to perfection! The service is also phenomenal, even when they have larger groups. Great atmosphere too! Definitely get the blooming onion and crawfish tails for appetizers!

Service was sub par, food didn’t come out as it was supposed to. Bathrooms were dirty. Overall, not horrible, but not good.

Consistently friendly bar. Always welcoming. Always good food. The only thing I don’t like is that it’s slightly outdated and needs to be modernized. Also better bar stools.

We were there for over an hour tonight and most that time was spent waiting for our food and then the check. My husband had the Outback Steak, he says that it didn’t have any flavor. The waitress was nice for the most part, but was rude a few times during our meal. We are not demanding patrons.
Over all, the food was bland and over priced. We will not be going back.

The better BBQ spot in Alexandria. As far as meats go they are on point. The sides can use improvement. Dirty rice is bland and slacks in ground beef and my tater salad is always salty. A bit pricey to me but it won’t leave you broke.

Food and service were excellent. This is a chain so you typically know what to expect, this visit was how I wish all of them are. Service was top. Itch and the food and beer were good. Was here on business and couldn’t really decide where to eat. Ended up here and was happy overall. Service in the bar was top notch.

The food was very good, well cooked shrimp and salmon, served with fresh perfectly cooked veggies. Service was a bit slow, but other than that, fantastic dining experience.

We went to outback yesterday, the food was great. The blooming onion was cooked just right. The steak was cooked to the way I order. The service was great and we plain on going back soon.

Don’t get the grilled sirloin it’s a very tough piece of meat in the lady I’ll tell you why did you order it it’s a cheap piece of meat?

The quality and consistency that used to be the hallmark of this Outback restaurant have disappeared. I have been disappointed on the last 3 visits to this establishment. From overcooked steaks to lukewarm entrees, the experience is not what it used to be. Last night was the final straw.
Toowoomba pasta has always been a favorite, but ‘sorry we’re out of mushrooms’ was what did it for me. A professional organization like Outback has no mushrooms? Really? Albertsons is less than a mile away. Ever consider a backup plan?
Oh well, change is good. I suppose I’ll be changing my dining preferences.
It is a shame. I’ve written numerous positive reviews on Outback in the past. It truly was my favorite restaurant. Things just haven’t been the same and it seems to be getting worse.

We had lunch take out. The potato soup was great. I had the house salad with grilled shrimp was great. The shrimp needed to be cooked longer but it was seasoned very well.

Y’all, I am so disappointed in the food we received last night. I have been telling my wife that I am craving a blooming onion for about 3 weeks now. Who doesn’t? :) So last night we head to outback to get a blooming onion and chicken wings. Figure if we are going to go off the diet, might as well go all in.
I am pretty easy to impress with food, I’ll eat just about anything and like it. The wings were the most greasy thing I have ever tasted. They had to be left in the deep fryer FAR too long. The plate looked like it had a bunch of wing sauce on it, but it was actually oil. We ate about 2 each because we were starving and couldn’t eat anymore. And this morning, I am my stomach is not happy that I basically drank a glass of cooking oil.
The blooming onion was the same, left in waaaaaay too long. And it tasted like the oil was very old and needed to be changed. Again, we maybe ate a quarter of it before we could stomach it any longer.
I really was looking forward to eating there last night, don’t think I will have that craving again for a VERY long time.

HORRIBLE! We arrived around 2:15 on a Monday afternoon. There were no less than 5 dirty tables in the bar. We, along with eight other people stood for more than five minutes waiting on a hostess. After finally getting a table (clean) in the bar area, we placed our order. 40 minutes later our meal arrived. My daughter’s baked potato was extremely overcooked and my asparagus was black. We asked our server to please bring replacements. He came back to tell us that all of the potatoes were burned. Needless to say, I will not go back to Outback’s in Alexandria. First time I have ever been let down by this chain… Usually dependable. This one– poorly managed and poorly staffed.

I was looking forward to an excellent meal with my wife like we experienced many times before at Outback. However tonight was not the usual. First off my wife ordered 5 Oz sirloin with shrimp special with sweet potato. I ordered 10 Oz ribeye medium. Server immediately informed my wife that they were out of sweet potatoes and would need to order a different side. She was disappointed but ordered a different side. Server came back to table to let her know they were out of 5 Oz sirloin and she would have to order a 9oz. When we got our food my steak was well done and very dry. Called server to the table and told him so he took my plate back and reordered for me. It took forever to. get new steak. However it was cooked right the second time. When I got my check I was charged for both steaks! I had to get our server to fix my check. The food ended up being good but the overall experience was a little annoying, hence the three star rating.

Great service, very attentive. Busy and filled up quick right from the very opening times. All the food we had was to order and very quick. Good atmosphere, and waiters were backing each other up. Friendly and professional. Definitely will return if in this area again.

Went here for dinner with my daughter and her family and had a really nice meal. The service was fast and friendly and attentive, the food was fresh and well prepared and we enjoyed our meal immensely. Now if we just had an Outback near where we live, we would be back often.

Loved the sirloin and shrimp. Service was a little slow, but i still gave 5 stars because I chock it up to being in a large group (8+). But Outback is Outback, good steaks, bloomin’ onions, and desserts.

This is by far the best place in Alexandria to get a steak. Plus with the call ahead seating helps with the waiting time.

I stopped in to this location as I was making my way from Shreveport/​Bossier back down south.
Stopped in close to 5 PM and was able to get a small booth at the bar since it was just me flying solo.
Ordered the Spinach and Artichoke dip for starters followed by a steak with steamed asparagus.
The waitress was GREAT and the food was OUTSTANDING! The dip was creamy and full of artichokes (love artichokes), the steak was cooked to perfection (Medium rare) and flavorful and the asparagus was crispy and tasty.
All in all an enjoyable meal.
