Natalie’s Salon & Spa

I am new to the area and was looking for a salon. Natalie was very friendly and did a great job! I would definitely recommend her to friends!

(I wrote this a while ago and am just posting it now).
Today, I went to Natalie’s salon. I looked on Unilocal (as always) and saw that the salon had a 5 star rating. I figured, why not go ahead and go and just be really specific about what I want.
When I got there, the salon owner was really pushy about how great her Unilocal reviews were (she had asked how I found out about her). I remembered that she only had one review out of the 2+ years she said she had been in business. I felt, in my gut, that something was wrong but decided to push any negative feelings to the side.
I told her what I wanted and that I wanted to keep my hair long for my upcoming wedding in March. I also wanted long layers, etc. You get my drift. It seemed like we were on the same page. She proceeds to cut. She said she would cut my split ends, I said, sure of course. When she was done cutting, she was so proud of her handywork and said, here take a look. When I looked in the mirror, I was horrified. She had cut off about 6 inches of hair. Although I did have really shoddy ends (fried from all the coloring) it was NOT 6 inches worth. I’m 32 and in all the years I’ve had my hair cut, I’ve never had 6 inches of split ends, never even heard of it.
I felt horrible and started crying (yes, I’m an idiot). She then starts blaming me that I didn’t tell her that I wanted to keep the length. WTH? And then she starts saying that she only cut a few inches. She even picked up some strands of hair to show that she only cut 3 inches or so. Then she goes back to blaming me for my lack of communication and that’s why she made the mistake.
Blah, blah, blah. I could continue with other «mishaps» from this experience, but that would be overkill.

My husband called to schedule a «spa day» for my birthday. Our daughter had gone to Natalie for a cut and color a few weeks ago and was happy with her hair so my husband assumed Natalie’s would be a good place for my special day.
My experience was not great. I wrote a lengthy review detailing my disappointment which prompted Natalie to write me a sincere apology letter, find my address, and mail the letter along with a refund for the services I received that day.
While I probably will not return I do appreciate that Natalie went above and beyond to make reparations and apologize.

Called last minute to see if they could do men’s, women’s, & kids haircuts right now. They took us in & greeted us tight away. The two sisters brought out toys to keep our 8-​month-​old daughter & 2-​year-​old daughter entertained. We all got haircuts, including my 2-​year-​old who had never had a haircut before. Natalie let our daughter sit on daddy’s lap & put a bright cartoon cape on her instead of the regular black one for adults. When she was done, Natalie gave her a candy & 1^st haircut certificate. She also put my daughter’s first hair clipping into an envelope for me to keep & warned me when she was about to cut so I could get the first haircut photo.
The place was very clean, modern, & nicely decorated. These sisters seem to have a lot of regulars because there was a constant flow of people coming in after us.

I happened to find Natalie’s when my mom and I were looking for a place not far from my brother’s house. We wanted to do mani/​pedi, and she wanted to get her hair done. We were greeted very warmly by Natalie and her sister (Lana). We ended up staying to get pedicures, and my mom got her hair done (cut and highlights). I’m fairly certain she was happy with her hair — and the pedicures were great. They are very gentle and even have colors separated by pedicure and manicure (same color — but different bottles for toenails and fingernails). My brother and sister-​in-​law went back the next day — my brother’s first pedicure! Even he seemed happy with the service. They cut hair for children, men or women — they mentioned several times that they often take a whole family at the same time. Also, they are very clean and have a lovely little shop. I would definitely recommend them.

I love this shop, I was looking for a location that will cut women hair. So after being turned down by male barbers? (guess they are timid) this location not only cuts hair for both male, and female but also style it and do pedicures and manicures. I had a very nice experience. And not only do they spoil you and pay very close to detail and cater to your comfort needs. This shop was very organized, clean, neat and chic. I will definitely go back and will recommend this place to others.

I’ve been coming back to get my haircut for the past 4 years. They offer great service and are extremely friendly. I recommend.
