Gerylee was awesome! My husband and I decided we wanted to do something simple with just the two of us before all the madness of our «wedding.»
We went to the beautiful Alexandria court house and had our marriage license 15 minutes later. Then we went to our scheduled appointment with Gerylee at her cute little historic office two blocks from the courthouse.
We got married (today) in front of the fireplace in her office. She was friendly, funny, and helped make our day perfect!

Gerylee married my husband and I. Gerylee was very responsive to calls and emails. She was also very accommodating scheduling our ceremony. Gerylee’s office is quaint — it comfortably fit my husband’s parents and my parents and sister (we got married in December). Gerylee had some beautiful things to say about love and marriage. If you’re looking for someone to marry you in Alexandria, Gerylee is a stellar option.

Gerylee performed our small civil wedding ceremony a week ago and really made it special. First, her suggestion of a location was perfect, second, she really made you feel comfortable and relaxed while acknowledging the special reason that you are all there. She was on time, personable, gave a beautiful service and even took a few pictures. We both felt like the day could not have gone any better and Gerylee was a big part of that.
EDIT: I get a lot of messages about this review. So I thought I’d share the location was the gardens behind the Carlyle House in Old Town Alexandria — you can see images here:
Then we walked to Old town and had a lovely lunch. It was truly fabulous.
