Krispy Kreme

I live to see the HOT sign as I slow down approaching Krispy Kreme. I grow up in the south and having a KK less than one mile from me. So you can imagine how happy I was to know I would be living close to one here. If you are going South on Route 1 sometimes you have to be careful when using the right lane. People make quick turns into the parking lot or the cars are lined up like a traffic jam waiting to turn right into the lot. I could have sworn that someone once told me that if I eat them fast enough while hot zero calories would be consumed.

Love the chocolate glazed donuts and nothing beats the hot original glazed. Once you eat one you always want more.

I really like Krispy Kreme but it’s currently under bad management. After waiting for 10 minutes no one approached us to take our order and then when the manager came he served other customers before us even when my husband told him we were first.

The doughnuts are fresh and taste good of course however the service is not good the majority of the time. Many of the workers seem to be unfriendly and rude. The doughnuts are decorated poorly. The snowman doughnut looks like child decorated it.

I was suppose to be on a quick run for lunch and returning to the office. But, after seeing that «HOT» Sign flashing like a Batman signal in the sky… I couldn’t help but to bust a ‘Uweey’ across three lanes of traffic to get some.
Love at first sight! Dreary-​glossy scene begins… like a «50 Shades of K» fantasy… And, oh what guilty pleasure it is indeed…
As I step into the «Red Light» District… I’ll only allow myself to be a bad boy once ever so often. Sneaky, quick escapes from the office to this location or a random little detour from DC, off Route 1, to this location does things to me that should be considered illegal. I pull up and you whispered your name pleasantly to me. I believe I heard…“KK!”…did you say? I let you know what I want, exactly how I want it, and then you deliver… on time, every single time… Fast…& Soooo Tasty!!! How can you be so bad but… Ooooh so good at the same time!!!
I only wanted it once but then I get it twice, sometimes three times in a day! I crave for it. That’s what your Red Light does to me. After I’m done, I get the urge to light up a cigarette and bask in all its guilty glory! Dreary-​glossy scene fades as I take the last bite… back into reality! Phew… Wow, who knew hot glazed donuts can be so intoxicatingly orgasmic! I can still smell and taste you on my fingers. Yumm! Lmao! I love you, KK… Krispy Kreme!!!
P. S. This location is fast… and open ²⁴⁄₇! The best doughnuts ever created, in my opinion. Light, airy, buttery sweet… and the ultimate best when hot! Although KK serves up many varieties of doughnuts, I never get with any others. I’m an «OG» when it comes to pimpin’ my doughnuts. Original — Glazed all the way baby! An occasional Apple Fritter too… to keep things exciting. So what more can I say? Hot glazed doughnuts… a dozen to smash for $ 7!
And you mean to tell me Heaven is better… Well, I can’t wait to get there! But for now… being a overpaid, disgruntled… narcissistic employee that escapes his office often… when the «HOT Line Bling» for an affair with KK will do.

You can’t beat the plain glazed donuts right when they come out of the oven. It is like eating a cloud. Buy two boxes, because you will polish off one on the way home. Really, you will open a box and the next thing you know you’ll look down and it will be empty. You’re not even going to remember eating them.
If you really want a treat, get ‘em hot out of the oven and put a scoop of ice cream on them.

In case you have not been to a Krispy Kreme before? Here is what you need to do. Go to a Krispy Kreme when the hot light is on. The hot light is a sign that glows neon red when they are making their donuts fresh. It’s hard to miss. When you see that go in and order a fresh regular donut. Eat it. It will, literally no exaggeration at all, melt in your mouth. It will be amazing. Do not take a dozen home for yourself because the donut goes from amazing to sickly sweet with a hard crust of sugar as soon as it loses its heat. Maybe you can take it for some co-​workers but they gotta finish it quick. They also have seasonal donuts that, again, if you eat them fresh tend to be awesome but as soon as they get home and cool are difficult to eat. Freshness is key. Plus its awesome watching the conveyor belt of donuts being fried and covered with liquid sugar.

Pretty good in many ways. Fresh and tasty. Clean and friendly. Many good things.

It’s kitschy. It’s got fresh donuts. Their freshly made glazed donuts are worth the visit, and it’s got coffee. Family friendly. Good options to choose for donuts & drinks.
If you’re on any kind of diet including non-​gluten, then you’re at the wrong spot. Try Viet House Restaurant if that’s the case. The last time I was at Krispy Kreme a homeless guy fell asleep on the toilet & left the bathroom unlocked. Something I wasn’t expecting at a donut shop.
Take care. It’s usually busy here so that means the parking lot is nearly always full. When it gets too busy, then the table areas may need to be cleaned. Other than that, it’s a fine place to sit and eat.

During the daytime they get 5 stars but anytime after 9 it stinks. They don’t have much of variety and the staff is not very helpful. I did encounter a new kid who tried to help me but the lady was just so nasty he ended up letting her take over and help me. I wanted to cry for me and the kid!
I wish they could give better variety at night because they stay busy but I guess they dont want to chance making extra yumminess for whatever reason!
I would recommend but during the day is best time to come!

I was so annoyed that I missed the anniversary buy a dozen get one for $.78 special the day before but I still had a hankering so when we saw the hot light on-​it was pretty much a beeline across 3 lanes of traffic to get in line.
And quite a line it was, slow moving with at least 20 parties deep and just 2 registers open and 2 «doughnut grabbers.» Instead of sweet deliciousness, the store smelled of old, stale grease and had poor ventilation. I was kind of nervous it would get in my clothes and hair.
That aside the doughnuts were as tasty as ever, next time I’m in the area I think I’ll just go through the drive-​thru.

I’m really glad this place really takes this equal opportunity employer thing seriously. That is the only reason why I even bother giving them two stars.
I mean really, the guy taking my order had to have been more than a little slow. I asked for original glazed donuts and was given custard filled donuts. I came back and informed them on the mistake they made and the guy switched out a donut and replaced it with a chocolate cream filled. That was it. That was this genius’s solution to my «I ordered original glazed donuts» problem.
I was sober. I spoke clearly. I gave directions slowly and thoroughly three times. English is my first language. How in the world do you get my order completely wrong not only once but twice?! Then it dawned on me… Maybe this guy is remedial. That would make more sense and I’m choosing to believe that rather than lose faith in the intelligence of our youth.
Oh. And the best part… they put the donuts back! I opened the box and everything. Is this legal? Does Virginia have a health department?
Let’s create a scenario. I take a dump and wipe my @ss with my bare hands. Since I am poor and want to save on my water bill I choose to wipe my hands on old taco bell receipts instead of using soap and water. Fast forward ten minutes later and I’m rubbing my hands all over these cream filled donuts in disbelief and anger. They’re put back on the shelf for someone else to buy. You are now on your death bed with e. Coli sh*tting your brains out.

The good: my oh my I could eat a whole box of those delicious doughnuts. Those things will melt in your hand and burn your mouth (but in the good way, if you know what I mean). I was absolutely craving a fresh doughnut so I didn’t mind the lengthy drive down here from Arlington — the taste was absolutely worth the wait.
The bad: the service at the drive thru is abysmal. Nobody should ever have to wait more than 10 minutes just to give their order! The staff didn’t really seem to mind either, they were not friendly nor courteous when we made it up to the window.
Three out of five stars for the awesome doughtnuts but unfriendly staff!

For some reason, I’m able to always catch the light on! Hot and fresh glazed donuts from Krispy Kreme are truly an addiction. If you’re watching your calories, be careful as especially when they’re hot from the oven, these donuts taste like sugary air. Before you realize it, you’ve eaten a dozen in one sitting.
The customer service is ok. Usually friendly, no more or less to it.
If you’re in the area, stop in and have a fresh one. You won’t be disappointed.

Solid 4 stars for the donuts but 1 star off for lack of customer service.
I came in for a quick bite and coffee.
It took them good 5 minutes to serve me because they were mopping the floor. Then it took them back and forth between the drive thru register and regular register to ring out my stuff agh such hassle.
Donuts are good and fresh as always. Tried the frozen mocha latte– it was decent!

These are the best donuts ever made! Hot n fresh donuts straight out of the oven, so good that they melt in your mouth. They are like crack, once you have one, you want more and more. But you gotta be careful, as they say «a moment on the lips, lifetime on the hips».
I’m impressed with this location, everytime i’ve been here there is always a crowd and yet the service is fast and customer service doesn’t get affected. They are always very nice. They see me walk up to the register with a big smile on my face, drool dripping on side of my mouth and they smile and say what can i get for you today? What makes Krispy Kreme stay ahead of the competitors is the hot n freshness of the donuts and the variety offered. I’ve tried just about every variety here and i love all the donuts.
Their coffee is great too but unfortunately if you come in about an hour before closing time, they usually only have regular coffee available, they don’t brew flavored coffee after a certain time.
They have plenty of parking, seating space and a drive through. Their bathrooms are usually clean and spotless, which is a bit surprising for a «fast food» sort of a establishment.
Overall i am very impressed with this location and addiction is hard to get rid of, so i will be back for more crack… err i mean donuts!

I love coming here… The service is usually pretty fast even when there’s a long line… and they always have fresh donuts even when the «HOT» sign isn’t on.
Their season donuts are the best, and you cant beat the price for an assorted dozen just under $ 10 bucks!

Who doesn’t like Krispy Kreme? I don’t know what to put here… the lady didn’t understand what I said over the speaker in the drive thru, so I drove up to the window for my order. I didn’t understand her either. I did my best to convey that I wanted 3 donuts, and a cup of coffee with sugar and milk.
Wait… wait… wait…
This chick was taking her sweet time…

She gives me the coffee and the donuts. I pay. She closes the window. Nope! Still no sugar or milk.
Knock… knock… knock…
I tried to get her attention by knocking on the glass window. AT this point I had asked for milk and sugar 4 times in my order and while we were doing exchanges in the process. She finally opens the window to inform me that she put the milk and 4 sugars in the coffee.
1. I didn’t want her to put anything in the coffee. That is something my friend was going to do. That is who I was getting the coffee for.
2. Why couldn’t she have said that in the first place?
Customer service here was … lacking.
Hot KK donuts though… that melt in your mouth. That was perfect. You won’t hear me complaining about the product.

It would be blasphemy to ignore the brightly lit up red «HOT» sign if you’re ever driving past Route 1. You can purchase Krispy Kreme donuts at most grocery stores or convenience stores, but this is only 1 out of 3 locations in the DC/​VA/​MD area (the others being in Dupont and Rockville) where you can see them freshly made coming out of the conveyor belt.
They’re known for their original glazed donuts, but they also offer several other flavors, as well as coffee, tea, and milk. The customer service is a hit or miss, but the donuts are what keeps me coming back for more.

You don’t normally see Krispy Kreme’s in our area, so when the opportunity presents itself… YOU MUST STOP FOR A DONUT! I love Krispy Kreme in general — as far as this specific location, I would give them three stars. I have been here on many occasions but just recently their customer service has went a little down hill. The establishment itself is in a great location, they have a drive thru, and right when you walk in you can visibly see them creating sweet golden glazy crack in front of your eyes. ^_^
Overall, come for the donuts and sweet goodness not for the customer service.
