It seems like they may have had a good selection of flooring(though I wasn’t there for that), but what kind of tile store doesn’t carry adhesive and grout? Thankfully the local hardware store carried everything I needed. In contrast to the previous review though, I did find the staff at Ideal friendly and willing to help — he offered to order what I needed at a 2 – 3 business day wait.

I came into Ideal Tile with several flooring projects about to begin. Knowing very little about tile and wood flooring, I hoped to get some good advice at Ideal Tile. The salesman at Ideal Tile offered only one piece of advice: The tiles at Home Depot are crap. Although I’m not quick to doubt such logic, the salesman was unable to explain –why– Home Despots tiles were crap. Furthermore, he offered no answer as to what made the expensive tiles in his own store worth more than the cheap tiles in his own store. The store itself was not laid out in a way I could understand, the tile displays didn’t seem to be organized in any particular fashion. Prices were absent or hard to find. Details on the tiles weren’t obvious, and the aforementioned salesman was of only minimal assistance. I have yet to buy my flooring, but if the next specialty flooring store offers me the kind of service I got at Ideal Tile, I’ll probably end up buying the«crap» at Home Depot, since no one can even tell me what’s crappy about it, other than that it’s cheaper and easier to buy.
