First time here was a little overwhelming with all the options but the options really give you the ability to enjoy your meal the way you want it. This location in particular was very clean and well run.

It was an interesting concept. Being Mongolian, this is not MONGOLIANATALL! Anyways, I was confused at first, but our waiter was kind enough to explain everything and made us feel comfortable. Then the food came out pretty good. Portion is big. I got the medium bowl, was so hungry, and couldn’t finish it. Typically, I’m a good eater. They also put your drinks on a to go cup too! Little things that makes us appreciate businesses.

This place was good. I enjoyed the staff they were great. The place is very nice looking but it was a little confusing getting your food. The food itself was okay, not as great I would have wanted it to me. I went to this one place in DC which was fantastic, until the roaches. Thankfully this place is clean. It’s good but not great.

TAKEYOURTIME! Really think about the flavors you like. Make sure you season the meat enough and that the sauce goes well with it. Taste all the sauces. I’ve been here roughly ten times and I FINALLY got my bowl to taste perfect! I’ve never seen this place packed. Ever! So I’m usually seated quickly and served quickly. I really like this place

I hadn’t been here in ages. The restaurant recently changed owners apparently. It hasn’t been for the best. The food is still good. But something is just wrong here, very wrong. Gone are the little digital screens at your table that let you peruse the menu, order drinks, desserts, and appetizers. Gone are all you can eat bowls. Gone is shrimp from the bar.(It’s $ 4 extra) The menu has been hacked, slashed, reduced. They did add one thing though. People. The entire bowl-building process is filled with lots of people, in your way, slowing you down. It’s actually kind of annoying. It’s like having dinner at the Motor Vehicles Administration office. Our server was great. He confided in us that there are a lot of things that really aren’t working out and that management doesn’t seem to listen or care. I really like this place. I hope they get it together.

We’ve been here a few times. It’s great to let the kids have a choice of things sometimes… the food is always fresh, the service is always pleasent and quick and the restaurant is always nice and clean. This time, however, I felt the need to point out one of the guys helping out tonight. He was super friendly with my son and really went beyond his job to make our visit super enjoyable. My son wanted to take his chopstick«cheater» home and the server took it with his bowl without us noticing. We asked for another on the way out and this guy was rolling up one of the rugs and the hostess was away from the booth. He looked for us and when he couldn’t find them we told him not to worry about it(we’ll be back). We went out to the car and he brought it out to us. My son was very happy… happy son, happy mom! Excellent customer service!

The food tasted good and was of decent value. The three star rating is because they screwed up an order for someone in my party. The concept of this establishment is pretty cool. You get one bowl for the price which makes it a little pricey in my opinion for what it is. You pick your meat, vegetable, and flavors and then they cook it. The service and idea of Warriors(services) Grill masters(Chefs) is unique. I would return because I thought the food was good and you can have quick lunch with colleagues or friends.

Love the concept and the food. Glad we tried and will return. We did a take-out and hung out at the bar after picking what we want. Quick and good service. Will definitely go back.

My boyfriend and I are big fans of this place, at other locations, so we decided to give this location a try. We waited for almost 10 minutes for our server(Spencer) to come over. It was not very busy at all and he didn’t have any other tables at the time. Strike 1. In regards to the food selection, it is okay at best. I love the King Crab, and they had none tonight. My boyfriend loves the Pico de Gallo, they again had none. The buffet choices just seemed very slim. Also, after taking almost 10 minutes to get through the buffet, our waiter had not brought our drinks yet(2 waters…). The gentleman who brought my food out was very nice, and the food was actually very good. It was very well cooked, and was served nice and hot! I was very surprised that it tasted as good as it did. Overall, a very 2.5−3 star experience. They would do much better if there was a wider selection, maybe adding some better meat choices(different styles & flavors), and the servers were better trained.

FUN! Went with my daughter and her family. It’s a pick your own hibachi. You’re given your choice of bowls to fill with what you’d like stir fried. All the ingredients looked very fresh and if you’re a good balancer you can fit an awful lot I your bowl. The waitstaff had to take a picture of how full my daughters boyfriend got his bowl. It was a work of art. Skip the mixed drinks though. I ordered a gun and tonic and I swear, it was in a 3 oz glass– total. Definitely not worth the $ they charged

I think they do a pretty good job in the grill. I have been there a couple of times now and the food quality is consistent. The food is cooked just right considering they do it in front of you, better than the other similar Mongol Grill Place in Herndon named King Khan. The place is not too crowded either and prices are reasonable.

Meh. It seems that east coast and west coast Mongolian are very different. They had premade sauces rather than getting to make your own from the scratch sauces. Also had a variety of marinated meat but I didn’t like how it looked. Wasn’t what we were craving and we won’t be back. Service was fine. One small bowl and one regular bowl was $ 19 for a Saturday lunch.

Only been here twice. The first and second visit were good. For the«make your own» is sort of pricey in my opinion. I’ve noticed that the meat selection is first, then the vegetables and other seasonings. So when you try to stack as much meat as you want, there’s no room for veggies and etc on top. Would be easier to put the veggies and other things you want first, then meat on top since it’ll weigh it down. I’m not a fan of the sauces they offer. It’s either too sweet, or too tangy. So i keep it small with the sauce and just use salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc. Service was good, and everything else around the restaurant is clean. So that’s always a plus for me.

Today was my first time and it was great! The staff was friendly and the food was really fresh. I built my own bowl with chicken and steak plus all the other fresh veggies, spices and sauces they provide. I will be a returning customer :)

Others reviews are quite interesting. Presidents Day Wknd my friends and I did a 10k and then went to Genghis to protein up :-). This was my first time there and we arrived as soon as they opened. It wasn’t crowded which was good seeing it was my first time. I enjoyed making my own science experiment/bowl. The concept is very cool. My dish was very good. I just picked all if my favs. I would definitely go back. The medium size bowls holds alot and the price is reasonable. The medium bowl ran me about ten bucks. Didn’t bother to look at the menu.

My summary of this place is «when Americans attempt to do asian food it goes horribly wrong». Been to many authentic BBQs before and I just didn’t take to this at all. Its like Mongolian BBQ meets sports bar. Quite vulgar if you are looking for real asian food. The line up to get the food was pretty long. The trays and bowls were in the wrong place. Some staff were ok and some were pretty rude. There were people shouting instructions to you, its like they were dumbing things down for the naïve American audience. The selection of items to put in your BBQ were pretty bizarre. None of the ones that I normally see at a Mongolian BBQ. The range of soft drinks was pretty limited. Music was loud. No asian customers which is a sign that this was not authentic in any shape or form. Something didn’t agree with me and had a bad stomache afterwards. Its also in an area that wasn’t very pleasant. Quite a few drunks due to the number of bars. Won’t be going back.

So I’ve gone here a few times in the past and I just noticed last night that you can’t put eggs on your meal anymore, that was slightly annoying. Also my family had to wait a few minutes for our waitress to arrive but she was quite nice. Anyway… Pros: Vegetarian options If you have an allergy they will clean the grill where they cook your food Nice wait staff Fresh buffet veggies and pineapple Food comes out quick Cons: Frozen buffet meats A bit pricey for dinner I wish they offered shrimp

This is a Mongolian-style restaurant where they give you a bowl to choose your meat, vegetables, sauces, and then your starch at the end. I thought it was kind of strange that they do not give you a separate bowl for the protein(like Flat Top Grill). The bowls are kind of small to cram everything in, but just try your best! I usually choose the marinated steak, bean sprouts, scallions, onions, Peanut Curry and the Teriyaki sauce — I ask for it to be extra well-done with the white rice. You can either get one bowl or an unlimited bowl deal. Recently, we came here for a baby shower party and the servers were great. +AYCE Mongolian stir-fry +Peanut Curry & Teriyaki sauce combo

I’ve been to this place a few times and this time was the best in terms of service and speed of cooking times. If you’ve never been to Genghis Grill it can be a make shift buffet if that’s what you want. Basically it works like this: 1. Select one of three sizes of bowls 2. Go up to the food bar and pick out your protein, seasoning, veggies, sauce, and starch 3. Take your bowl to the chef and wait for it to be cooked That’s it! The buffet part comes in if you want to continuously do this, it lets you get unlimited bowls with whatever goodies you want filled to your hearts content. You get a selection of chicken, beef, scallops, sausage, etc, an array of veggies and custom sauces. They also have handy recipes cards to help you out if you get stumped in awe of all the food. The food is a few steps above takeout mostly because the ingredients are mostly fresh but don’t expect 4-star food or service. There’s a bar in this location but I’ve never tried it out. I’m mostly impressed with the seating in this place and the overall décor. It’s a fun place to try out if you haven’t already been.
