Super friendly and helpful! Went looking for a specific item, and they went above and beyond to help me find it. Some cool people working there!

Hmmm, now isn’t this strange. I wanted to order an NBA2k15 game for x-Box 360 for my grandson for Christmas. It was on sale for $ 39.99; regular price $ 59.99. And I wanted to pick it up at the Duke Street location of GameStop. The indication was that it was in stock, and I could order it on line and pick it up there. But, lo and behold, after ordering it, I got an email saying that the item«couldn’t be found». So I ended up ordering it and paying $ 6 for shipping. Then, today? The Duke Street location is STILL saying they have it in stock, but it’s now listed at the regular price of $ 59.99. What’s wrong with this picture?

A perfectly serviceable Game Stop and maybe extra points for the friendly staff. Once got caught in line behind a lady who had to have the Rockband drum set reserved for pickup at another GS location. Sucked for me, since it took 15 minutes, but good for her and props to the clerk for his patience. My complaints are generic to the chain: carry more PC games — yeah, I know you can’t buy them back, but not my problem; and organize your shelves more clearly.

This is my all time favorite Gamestop. I always feel welcomed when I come in. Most of the employees know me by name. They are always willing to help you locate a game. When I asked what game I should buy, they didn’t say the game that was on the shelf behind the counter. They said that I should try playing«Assassin’s Creed». Which was only about $ 20 at the time for the first one. Gamestop now has a new credit card that your only allowed to use at there stores! It was a big help when I bought my new XBOX One. I will be going back sometime this week to reserve the new Batman game! They always have the game that I am looking for. I don’t know if that is just luck, or if they just make sure that there store is stocked properly. Another good point is, if you call they will answer. They will give you an answer over the phone. If your looking for a place that has friendly, knowledgeable people. I’d say come to this store. You’ll love them.

This store is the one that is closest to ware I live so I go there frequently. After work I went to go buy destiny hoping it would take 5 minutes but it was 30 minutes. Two people ahead of me, there was a guy and a kid returning 60 games and some console. It was a Saturday and there was only one person working the registers. There was another employ that walked in and went in the back room and never came out. The guy in front of me asked in a mad tone«can you use the other registrar?» And he said«no» just no. No sorry. Just no. I was hopping to get my game while my girl friend was at the giant next-door. The guy behind me was getting his son a game and his wife went to Starbucks, and when she came back and saw that her husband hasn’t moved she said and I quote«we are leaving«and they stepped out. This was the only time I could get the game so I had to wait. Since I was waiting for 30 minutes I want to know why there was one person on a Saturday. The busiest day of the week.

Extremely poor customer service, they’re a 10min drive away and I’ll be going to the one the town over from now on. Lied to me twice(once in person once over the phone) about what time I could validate my preorder receipt for midnight pickup, I show up an hour before said time and they’ve already validated 15 of their friends and are hanging out eating pizza at the counter. I’ve never gone hunting for a way to complain to corporate for anything before but these a-wipes popped my cherry.

This is my go to Gamestop, and it is like most of them: wide selection, knowledgeable staff, and a fair trade value Their midnight specials are really cool, but you really need to pre-order with this store for the release of those mega-titles. They usually just barely enough for the release date, and when I haven’t done so I was able to find copies at other stores that didn’t have as much traffic as this store. However, this one is super conveniant and you can easily catch lunch next door at Noodles and Company or get a Starbucks cup of coffee two doors down

I stopped by this location today because my boo was looking for a specific game which they had in stock. The location is very nice an neat. The staff is very helpful and go above and beyond. They misquoted a price on a game for me and after noticing it they came looking for me in Starbucks and tell me so. Jayson brought me back into the store and gave me the better deal(awesome and very nice for someone who really had never done business with me). The fact that he did that really gives me the confidence to do business with that location again. I got a free game for 53 cents of a difference(sadly I used my credit card… sorry I do not carry cash). Jayson went above and beyond for me… in my eyes. he is a hero!

Not one of the better GameStops. Went in one evening and while browsing titles couldn’t help but overhear the employees bragging about how many bootleg copies of console games they owned or offering each other advice on the best game pirating websites. Struck me as odd as they probably receive a decent employee discount, not to mention advocating the stealing of games could lead to lowered sales in the store and them finding themselves in the unemployment line. Decided to purchase a game there and they tried to pass an obviously used game(disc was badly scratched) as new. Claimed the non-shrink-wrapped case was because it was the shelf display. Corporate should reconsider the value of this store to the organization’s bottom-line.

I’ve been to many a gamestop in my day and I’ve seen better, and I’ve seen worse. I’ve had employees offer great service; but I’ve also had them argue with me that their gamestop-branded items are better quality than first-party equipment since the latter was out of stock. All in all, a decent store due to their location but they definitely don’t garner any allegiance.

The guys working at this GameStop the day Mrs. P and I went in there were pretty cool. We had 2PS2 and lots of games to trade-in. We were only able to trade-in one of the PS2’s because of some policy they have to protect the stores from becoming a fence. I don’t know if that’s true and it is an inconvenience to go to another store to get rid of the other PS2BUT the guys took the time to explain and were patient with our questions. As you may or may not know, GameStop’s trade-in values SUCK but, for those of us that don’t care about the $$, having one within 5 miles is a big plus. A bonus to this particular trip was that Mrs. P had a hidden gem in the stash of video games. One of the employees was a fan and bought the game directly from us for $ 20 which I’m sure was a lot more than what the company would have given us. He actually gave us all the cash he had in his wallet. If he had $ 100 in there, he would have offered it. And when we checked for what that game was selling for on eBay later that day, it was around $ 20 so he paid what it was worth. We happily used our store credit to pre-order another video game and were happy with the experience. Yes, it’s a big corporate machine but at least the guys in the store are chill.
