Delicious cranes in a hidden place in Old Town. Very intimate environment and nice staff. Their cappuccino is to die for.

Great food, that’s not too heavy for brunch. There was no wait when I went, although it was a snowy Sunday. The Parisienne crêpe was good, but the lox and crème fraîche crêpe was better. The service was pretty good, but though the place was cute, it was a bit too cramped for my liking.

I love both their savory and sweet crepes. The crepes are thin, soft and isn’t burnt on the edges. Everything inside the crepes blend very well together. It was warm and cozy inside the café. Free coffee refills. Excellent service. I will stop by again the next time I visit.

I came here on a holiday for brunch. It was a spur of the moment decision based on lovely Unilocal reviews. This place was packed. It’s bigger than it looks, and they really can squeeze people in. We didn’t have to wait, which was a big plus. The hospitality was wonderful. Everyone was so kind and never rushed us, despite the bustling atmosphere. With that said, the food isn’t the speediest, so be prepared to linger for a bit. I ordered the French toast. It was too eggy and soggy for me. I also expected more than one piece of bread for the price. I couldn’t really eat it all because it wasn’t the best. Based on mine and my dining companions’ dishes, the prices either need to be a bit lower or the servings should be larger. Overall, I won’t be back, which is disappointing given how charming it is, but the food is first and foremost in my book.

Showed up right after opening on a blustery winter Sunday and it was perfect. The owner was so friendly and greeted us and helped us settle our kids in. Delicious latte, and I had a great Parisienne crêpe. The Lunch Box kids crêpe was perfect. This is such a cute and intimate place.

This is a nice little brunch place in Old Town Alexandria. Extra star for the comfy ambience! It was a great place for me and my sister to bond over French fries, a savory Farmers Market crêpe and a Nutella crêpe! The food was decent, if not exceptional. I had three free refills of the apple cider I ordered which was great! We were greeted by the owner and seated within five minutes of our arrival. The service was courteous and prompt despite the hustle and bustle of a busy Saturday! Overall a nice place to try out if you don’t mind some noise!

One of my favorite spots in Old Town Alexandria for brunch. Hubs and I often go there towards the beginning of brunch service and often avoid the slow service that people have noted in other reviews. The space is intimate and service friendly. I’ve enjoyed all of the dishes that I’ve tried on the menu, but my favorite is the Norwegian Crêpe. The Salmon and Avocado Tartine — often on the Specials menu — rapidly becoming a favorite too. I’ve also had brunch with friends here. The group was about 5 people, and to help our chances of not having a long wait for a table, I made a reservation. Just a note, they won’t seat you until all members of the group arrive. Since we were in a larger group, the space felt a little more cramp than intimate. Also, the check can only be split up to 3 ways when paying by card, which I wish I knew a head of time. But everyone really enjoyed their food and were happy to have dined there. So for a group setting I would probably give it 4.

I had the Parisienne crêpe. It was excellent. My only issue was the amount charged for a soft drink. It was $ 2.25 for a can of Diet Coke.

I’m giving this place 3 stars because of service more than food. The food is pretty solid– although they don’t have some of the most traditional French crepes you’d expect to see. I had the lox and crème fraîche crèpe and thought the flavors mingled well together. Everyone else seemed to like their dish just fine. The service seems a bit rushed, and our waiter had to be reminded of something he forgot on two different occasions. Still, the ambience is nice and so warrants a return visit.

This cute café in Old Town is known for their crepes. I dined here for brunch the other weekend with my cousin and there was a short wait(~5−10 minutes), but we decided to sit at the bar where there was open seating. The restaurant itself is quaint and cozy, so I would recommend dining here if you’re in a group of 4 or less. We were greeted at the bar and were dropped off menus. After sitting at the bar for about 10 minutes and deciding what we wanted to order, the bartender came up and asked us what we wanted to drink. After expressing that we were also ready to order our entrees, she harshly said«I’m only taking drink orders right now.» That interaction left a bad taste in our mouth, but we put in our drink orders and waited around 5 minutes to put in our orders. We both ordered the Alexandrian(ham, cheese, and mushroom), as well as a side of bacon and french fries. All savory crepes come with a side salad with delicious red wine mustard olive oil vinaigrette. The crêpe itself was a little salty, but pretty tasty for the most part. The portion itself was filling and more than enough for one person. Fontaine is a cute place to consider for your weekend brunch date.

We came here for brunch after a 5k run. This place is a solid three stars. Hubby ordered the norwegian crêpe, it is the smoked salmon with onion and cream cheese. I got the Alexandrian crêpe, which consist of mushroom, cheese and ham. While my hubby liked his, mine was just alright, not as savoury as I thought it would be. The service was slowwww, we came in early enough when there was plenty of open tables. It took a while to get our food and the server only checked in on us once. No water refill either. There are tons of other options in the area and this will not be my first choice. Service and food can be improved!

I like small restaurants. Food is not bad. Dessert crepes are very nice. My only advice is, for the berliner crêpe, put the fries in a paper cone on the side(think Belgium) instead of putting them all over the crêpe.

Very cute place! The place is a little small and cramped inside, but has a lot of character. Came here for lunch with my coworker and ordered the farmers market crêpe. The flavors were very good, but I feel like there should be more filling in the crêpe. Love that it is served with a side salad in a light vinaigrette. We had a delightful lunch. Need to return to try their dessert crepes!

Dinner crepes were just ok. Not bad but not fantastic enough to write about. The desert crepes are where it’s at though! We had something with marscapone and cherries soaked in wine. I would have licked the plate if it wouldn’t have been impolite.

How can this place have 4 star? We walked in, there were two table but were told to wait. That was fine. We sat down and waited about 10 mins before we saw a waiter. We were starving so wanted to order food asap. But waiter kept insisting he was taking drink orders first. He was doing that to people around us too. We got a glass of wine and orange juice. Then we waited another 10 minutes before we could order our food. It took 30 minutes for us to get our food after the order. Foods were so underwhelming. Crêpe was cooked ok– not dry not too crispy but on a bit thick side. My husband got sultan crêpe which had weird smell. We love lamb but this was cooked bad. Cook doesnt know how to cook lamb right. Mine was ok(tuscan) had white beans, tomatoe sauce and italian sausage. You cant go wrong with tomatoe sauce. It was average. We got chocolate toast with dark berries. Toast was so soggy… not good at all. Foods were on 3 star, but bad& long service make this place unbearable. After this place, we walked over to Grape and bean to satisfy our«tasting bud» I will not return to this place.

I went to Fontaine Caffe & Creperie with some girlfriends for brunch on 9÷20÷15. Although, we were worried about getting a seat with the art festival going on outside; we were seated right away. It helped that Fontaine Cafee & Creperie has expanded into the restaurant next store. The food was delicious. I love the ambiance of this restaurant. It is cute and cozy without being uncomfortably cramped. The service was good and our waitress was very attentive, making sure our cups of coffee were never empty. The only thing I would note is the space is probably best for a smaller group of people(1 — 4). If you’re planning on having a larger group for brunch and/or dinner(even with the expanded space), I would opt for another restaurant in Old Town Alexandria area. In a nutshell, a great choice for brunch in Old Town becuase it is casual with charm.

Love the story of these sisters, which along with the gluten-free recipe bumped my rating up from average to very good. Atmosphere– a large café-style shop with outdoor seating and tables in the front and rear of the restaurant. The owner greeted us with a smile, and we were promptly seated just as the café opened; the line quickly began to form. Service was average and the seating adequate. I do think they could use small plates so as everything better fits on the small tables. Coming with a group?- call ahead and you will be gladly welcomed. Price– breakfast– coffee and crepes for 2, came to $ 35, which is average. Food– usual coffee but unfortunately the only non-dairy milk is soy. What sets this café apart from other creperies is that they offer alcoholic beverages and other menu items such as tartines, French toast, quiches, and meats. All crepes come with a lightly dressed side of mixed greens. The crepes– absolutely love the gluten-free buckwheat batter. The heartiness of this crêpe holds up well to the variety of savory fillings. The chicken in the Parisian was a bit dry, making me think it was leftover from the precious day. I wish more than the one breakfast egg crêpe were offered. Nevertheless, the server happily added caramelized onions to this scramble, which satisfied this Italian’s daily need for onions. Well, until the next meal.

Came here for Sunday brunch. We came as soon as they were open and were surprised to see people already seated. We got seated immediately and service was quick– we got our food within 15 minutes. My husband got the brioche French toast with peach slices. They were rather small, but filled him up. Kind of pricey for what you get. I got the Parisienne crêpe. Size was decent. Inside there were bell peppers, onions, eggplant, cheese(although there was a chunk of it in a random section of my crêpe and not spread out like I would have preferred it) and grilled chicken. They gave a generous amount of chicken and other veggies. I wish they had added a little bit more flavoring… Maybe some more salt and pepper or some herbs. I added sole hot sauce and it helped. They served the crêpe with a small spring mix salad. We left full, but felt like it wasn’t worth the price.

Great little café and creperie right off King Street in Old Town Alexandria. They have some pretty delicious crepes! Even on a cold, icy night, my friend and I were not dissuaded from visiting to get some delicious Crepes and hot chocolate(for my friend). We both ordered the«Charming Frenchman»(caramelized apples, french vanilla bean ice cream, and calvados, which is an apple brandy from Normandy). Very delicious and fresh, even at 9pm! My friend also ordered the hot chocolate and she really liked it. Service was excellent. Our waitress was really nice and attentive and we got those crepes out quickly. My only qualm with the place is that they don’t serve anything else in the way of sweets besides crepes. It would be nice to have some variety and add more dessert options to the menu.
