Fine if you like overcooked and poorly seasoned tacos. Much better options at authentic tacqueras along route 1. This one is for the yuppies and hipsters. Generally poor service with questionable sanitary conditions e.g. salsa bar often a mess and tables not bussed. They stay busy so it is somewhat understandable but there are better places to go.

If I were to choose one word about District Taco it would be «Fresh»! On the outside, the building gives off a cool and clean style. Parking is scarce and is like a lottery system. What I mean by this is that you would be better off winning the Powerball than getting a spot(Ok maybe I exaggerated a little, but if you’ve been here you know what I’m talking about!). The inside gives a nice vibe and is spacious. The employees are very nice and helpful. On weekend’s this place can get pretty crowded. I would recommend getting there before or after the rush of lunch or dinner. The food comes out at a fair pace and is very flavorful. One food issue I have with this place are the chips. They need need a little flavor to them, besides dipping them into salsa/guacamole. One thing I do like and sets apart District Taco from others is the Boylan Fountain Soda. For a person who doesn’t mind a drive and craves some place different from DT’s competitors(like Chipotle, Qdoba, Moe’s, ect), I would definitely recommend this place! A personal note to District Taco(If they really read these reviews): COMETOLAKERIDGE(or at least some place closer by)!!! The big business competitors in this area have NOTHING on you!!!

The first time I went with husband was not very hungry so I ordered cheese quesadilla and almost squeeled with delight at the fixins bar, for lack of a better term. All the delicious fresh pico de gallo I could want with limes and fresh cilantro. If you ask you can get a side of guacamole at no charge with a veggi meal. The guacamole and quesadilla were great, although guacamole a little too much salt. Since my husband drives almost right by it on the way home from work this place was going to be a regular treat during the week. I was fine sticking to the simple quesadilla smothered with thei pico and cilantro. Then I started veering off to try other items. The Al Pastor(carved pork) with chopped pineapple and carne asada(chopped steak) burritos were so salty I had to force myself to eat any. Both would have been terrific. This happened more than once so not a freak thing. I just don’t get it. I like salt and food with flavor, but their seasoning is just over the top too salty making it impossible to eat. IMO! Sadly this place is off our list now.

My boyfriend and I came here because we had a craving for Mexican food! The ordering system was quick and easy and I love the selection of Boylan Sodas and Mexican sodas. It was definitely a cross between Moe’s and Chipotle. I really enjoyed their selection of salsas. Now onto the food we got the nachos, fish tacos, and huevos ranchero. I was a little disappointed in both the fish tacos and huevos ranchero because they were a little bland in my opinion. However, I really did love the nachos. It was a little expensive in my opinion but might consider coming back again

My boyfriend and I we’re starving. I wanted to try Taco Bamba and he wanted to try this place so since we were in the area we chose to check this place out. The place wasn’t packed at all. We got our food rather quickly but every single one of the 6 tacos we ordered were all cold. The meat was cold and the tortillas were cold. We were so hungry we didn’t even bother to complain. I’ve had better tasting warm tacos from food trucks. Needless to say I will not be returning ever again. Check out out if you like cold crappy tacos.

Not really sure what the hype is with these tacos but I was highly disappointed. Not a fan of their corn tortillas at all. Very mushy tasting and they take away from the flavor of the meat and toppings. Also not a fan of the chopped steak, it’s very chewy and slightly dry. When you pay over $ 30 for 6 tacos, they should taste every bit of amazing that you would expect them to.

These tacos were awesome. The looked a little small when i first ordered but they filled me up fast ! The ingredients were very fresh, there were many options to choose from and the guacamole was off the chain !! I wasn’t the biggest fan of the chips, they seemed a little hard for my taste. i like tortilla chips thin and crispy but everything else was great ! cant wait to get some more tacos !

I was really hoping to enjoy after the hype. I got queso dip and chips, and the burrito mojado. The queso dip was a bit chalky and flavorless, I had to add a lot of salt. The chips were thick and bland and boring. So sad. The burrito was filled with white rice and a little meat. So bland, the sauce on top was good, but they were cheap with it– also no cheese and about 4 strands lettuce on the side. Really bummed. Nice atmosphere and military discount though. Del Ray’s taqueria poblano is better. I give this a 2 out of 10. Chipotle is like a 4.

This is a revamped version of Moe’s and Chipotle. The line always moves fast. Parking can be tight. I always order the chicken quesadilla or burrito bowl. This restaurant is setup just like Chipotle and Moe’s, but you have to pick all your toppings in advance. Guacamole is extra. While the food is not authentic in any way it hits the spot for a quick tasty meal. Chips and salsa are extra. Once you place your order, they give you a card with a number on it. They have a salsa bar and drinks in the back. Last, they have a paper rewards card that they punch every time you make a purchase. Once the card is full, you can redeem it for free tacos.

My understanding is there is a paucity of authentic Mexican food in this area – it is hard to understand since we have such great choices at home. I thought this place was excellent. I had super huevos rancheros that were not breakfast-y at all. Came with rice and beans. All very good for $ 7. We got the excellent Guac but the chips seemed very pre-fab – however, the yoffer a serve yourself salsa bar and the offerings were great. My group(all major Mexican food authorities) liked their tacos. Very good choice

Fun environment. Interesting options but not as flavorful as expected. Would honestly prefer chipotle over this local restaurant…

Sigh. We were so hungry, and so determined. I even circled the block twice before scoring a parking spot. Pros: Bright, open, inviting. Nice cashier Tasty soda Friendly patrons Husband enjoyed the breakfast tacos Military discount(woot woot!) Cons: Sigh. I’m new to DT, but I recognized that it was a long(and fast-moving) line, so I didn’t want to be a pill and ask questions and dawdle. So, I ordered a veggie burrito with«all the veggies», no sour cream, and jalapenos. Ship shape. What arrived: a flour tortilla of rice, beans, and about 200 teeny-tiny, beautifully diced pieces of jalapeño. No lettuce, no tomato, no cheese, no discernible seasoning. It was so hot as to be inedible. My husband kept recommending I return to the counter and ask for lettuce, or order something else, but I was just fatigued and didn’t. I’m not sure I’d pay the $$ or go through the ass-pain of parking just for another burrito of rice, beans, and lettuce. Yeah.

A local version of Chipotle. They have a few unique menu items like a salsa bar and the al pastor that was marinated in guajillo, but the concept is the same… I was there at 2pm on a Friday, and despite only 3 people being in front of us, it took forever to place an order. FOREVER. And then I realized one key difference between this place and Chipotle– they dont make your food in front of you. So we had to go wait for our food to come out. I got the al pastor, in the burrito bowl. It was a little disappointing. The pork didn’t have much flavor. There was a ton of cheese on my bowl, and very little else. They did have a lot of mexican soda options and they have a boylan soda fountain which is hard to find, and my husband really likes it… The only reason I’d try this place again is because it’s locally owned.

I think I found my new favorite restaurant for me and the family. This place is very similar to a chipotle, but better. Every chipotle I’ve been to in this state has an extremely long line and very limited seating. District Taco was fast and plenty of seating. I have a large family and they had all of my food ready. It was fast and soooooo good!!! I’ll be back again!

I got the quesadilla, which comes with black beans, choice of protein, and lettuce /tomatoes/sour cream on the side. Overall, the the food was decent, but i don’t think I would pay $ 8 for it again. I am pretty sure the cheese is store bought, pre-shredded cheddar, which was disappointing because it never melts the same and has a plasticy quality. The beans and chicken were good, but the side of tomatoes the put in with my to-go order made the tortilla very soggy by the time I got home. I do really like that they have a well stocked salsa bar(that tomatillo salsa is BOMB), and that there is a lot of drink options — soda, coffee, tea, juice — this makes me think this may be a good place to check out during my stay here for breakfast.

District Taco is pretty good! Think of it as a cross between Moe’s and Chipotle with a little of it’s own thing going on. Walk in, choose your carrier(burrito, tacos, salad, bowl, etc…), your protein(or lack of protein — veggie gets Guac for free!), and your toppings. Pay, slide over to the left and wait for your meal. For two burritos and two drinks we paid about $ 20, so it is a bit steep. Awesome plus side is the Boylan’s in the soda machine. Pro-tip: mix a splash of crème soda with your cane cola and get the greatest vanilla cola of all time. All in all it’s not really any different from many other mexican fusion semi-fast food places, but it holds it’s own and is worth going to if you want a little bit different of a flavor from your regular semi-fast food mexi-fusion places. If you love the idea of Boylan’s on fountain — then consider this review a 4-star and head on over :).

Fresh, fresh, fresh ingredients! Food is filling and yet not heavy, which is great. Everything tastes good and delicious. In most Mexican food shops, I either like their chicken or their beef. I still can’t decide whether I like District Taco’s chicken more than their beef or vise versa. They’re both perfectly grilled and cooked, flavourful, and delicious. They have a unique salsa bar and my salad bowl dressing tasted very good! There’re plenty of tables which makes it good for casual outings with your family and friends as well as casual work gatherings and meetings. All their fountain machine drinks are made with cane sugar(YES! No corn syrup). Staff is pretty quick which is perfect if you’re on your lunch break and don’t have plenty of time to wait for your order to be ready(and if you’re starving, of course). One of the owners was there, he made sure everything’s under control and asked us if we’re happy with their service and food, which we were.

Expensive. Have to pick everything right at at register(toppings and all). I suppose this eliminates the«hmmm’s» at the topping station, but you get it at the register instead(I was one of them). Personally I do better when I’m staring at the toppings(light on this, extra that, etc). Seating is retro and kinda cool looking. Food is decent — but Chipotle is cheaper and just as good. Oh, and when ordering«corn» tortillas — they are also soft tortillas… authentic, which is nice, but unexpected(and I was kinda longing for the taco crunch). I might come back — but I won’t go out of my way to do so.
