If you fear going to the dentist, you haven’t experienced the marvelous hands of Dr. David Butts. In a word: painless. But he is so much more. One of the most learned and experienced dentists I have ever experienced in my long life. I am almost reluctant to sing his praises because I don’t want others to logjam his office and make me have to fight for an appointment time, but he is truly the best. A professor at the outstanding Georgetown University School of Dentistry, his knowledge is superlative. And his experience is one that provides his patients with the very best treatment, and as I said, it’s painless. Simply the best.

I ended up here all of a sudden. I had an appt with my usual dentist until I was told this morning that I was no longer covered under my new insurance. This dentist was referred to me by a friend, so I called Dental Associates and they got me in same day. I arrived and was promptly taken back. The hygienist lit a candle and gave me a little swab of lavender oil. It was a really great experience. She was friendly, stayed on task and I was out of there, a new patient, in just about 45 minutes.
The treatment was a little different than I had previously had in that there wasn’t just scrapping, there was a seperate tool used. It was so much faster and more thorough. I loved it.

I had a great experience here! Finally a dental hygienist that didn’t make me cringe at a simple thought of having my teeth cleaned. I feel so refreshed and happy. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. Really put me at ease, since going to the dentist is not my favorite thing to do… I look forward to coming back.
O, and another great perk, that I haven’t received for YEARS now, they actually give you a little goody bag of travel sized tooth care products to take home with you. I don’t know why dentists stopped doing that (maybe it’s the ones that I go to), but it really adds a personal touch, showing me that they want me to come back.
