We stop at this Dairy Queen once in a while. They are on the way home. After a long day playing tennis, we needed some cool for the hot/humid weather.

Dairy Queen not only offers their famous Blizzards and ice cream treats, but also combos, baskets, sides, salads, cakes, and even Orange Julius smoothies. The hubs and I came to Dairy Queen to grab some dessert. I’m usually a sucker for the ‘Blizzard of the Month,’ and, boy, was I excited that the month of March was ‘Grasshopper Mousse Pie!!!’ This was vanilla soft serve with cool mint, graham pie crumbles, choco chunks, and whipped cream(I opted out of this) — I did request for extra cool mint, thinking that it was more like chocolate mint chunks, but it was a sauce! I was a little disappointed that it was an extra charge for the extra drizzle(but, it was more of a little squirt rather than an actual doubled amount) T___T The blizzard itself was more on the soft than the ‘solidified’ end, and I think it could have spent some few more seconds in blizzard-making, churning machine. The Blizzard, however, was delicious — I loved the minty flavor, the little specks of the thin chocolate ‘shavings,’ minute crumbles of the graham crumbles(I thought they would actually be larger chunks, but they were really ‘crumbs’ and more ‘subtle’). The staff here is nice, but it would have been great if they were more generous with the toppings(especially if one paid extra for!). +Grasshopper Mousse Pie(March’s Blizzard of the Month) +stingy on the extra topping(even with extra payment) T____T +located in Mark Center plaza, next to Subway

Happy 75th Birthday DQ! I’m giving this a 1 based on the following: Today is DQ’s birthday and participating stores are giving out a free soft-server cone! Yay! I headed over with some friends around 2pm after calling to verify that they are doing this. We got our cones and enjoyed the walk back. 5 stars so far… BUT… I went ahead and posted on FB and one of my friend’s NINETYSEVEN yr old Grandmother ended up taking a trip out to this VERYSAMEDQ around 11AM to get her Ice Cream but was told they weren’t participating! WTFDQ!

Where do you go when your pregnant wife craves completely generic mass produced ice cream? The nearest Dairy Queen. Some people I know will knock this location because it is not full service(Thought I never have seen one of those Dairy Queen that serves burgers.) Besides the ice cream based items, it only has hot dogs. However, the location was clean and the service was good on the few times we were there If you want high end ice cream no Dairy Queen is the place to go. But as Dairy Queens go, this one is good.

I received the coupon book in the mall. Being late morning and a chilly day I was the only costumer in site. I had a yummy banana split for half price and I will go back tomorrow to have a waffle sundae. I admit the discount pricing is what brought me in the door but I was pleased with the experience.

The quality of ice cream at this Dairy Queen is superb; the dipped cones are always left curled to perfection on the top and the blizzard mix-ins are fresh and filling. This Dairy Queen originated as an ice cream-only location, but due to the chain’s revised requirements, it was forced to switch to one with full-service to now include hot dogs and other such savory selections. I have never tried these menu items, but have noticed that most of my fellow ice cream eaters fail to purchase them as well. The smell of hot dogs also tends to clash with the once enticing scent of ice cream and hot fudge to create an unpleasant aroma that leads one to desire the outside dining. Thankfully tables are available outside, but are often occupied with patrons from other venues such as the Thai restaurant next door, Subway, or McDonalds so they are difficult to obtain. These tables are also useful because the inside dining at Dairy Queen leaves much to be desired– there are a measly three tables with hard metal chairs that fill the blindingly bright room with a tile floor encrusted in chocolate sauce. If you are simply searching for a place to pick up a quick ice cream and continue on your way, this Dairy Queen is perfect and will satisfy your every desire; just try to avoid sticking around inside.

As a former Dairy Queen employee, I can tell you that this location sucks.(I’ve been there many times, but no more.) First of all, the employees cannot properly make a Blizzard. They don’t mix it enough, which leaves a glob of soft serve at the bottom of the cup without toppings. Second of all, I purchased a gift card there about a month ago. I’ve redeemed it twice, and when I went in today, they couldn’t get it to work. They said I had to «bring it back to where I bought it.» They proceeded to screw around trying to get it to work, to no avail. In the meantime, I discovered that my M&M Blizzard tasted like banana. Not surprisingly, the guy before me ordered a banana flavored Blizzard. The owner proceeded to argue with me, telling me that it didn’t have any banana in it. He should have just made me a new one. To top it off, this location is often full of thuggish little children. You’re lucky if you get out with a half-assed Blizzard and threatening looks from the other customers.

BLIZZARDS are In for the summer! There are no DQ’s in the NYC area and since we were in this neck of the woods, my brother was craving for a blizzard. We found one not far from our auntie’s place. We arrived there after 9pm to find it still open in a lively mini mall. Workers are friendly and received the blizzards very quickly. Gotta love the Hawaiian and x-treme choco blizzards. Soft ice mixed in with your favorite toppings. Happy 25th birthday blizzard!

Let me just start this review with a disclaimer: milkshakes have been one of my favorite foods my whole life. I even got one of these dorky shirts from Urban Outfitters with the saying«M is for Milkshake» to confess my love for them my freshman year of college. It wasn’t until later that, much to my chagrin, I realized the intended meaning was different!(Now it is strictly a sleep shirt.) :) I used to live within walking distance of this place. Thank God it was up a steep hill, or else I would’ve felt even guiltier when I went here at least once a week during the summer. I’d try to stick with a small soft-serve cone, but 2 out of 3 times I would cave in and go for my favorite — blizzard! There is nothing in the ice cream world that compares. This DQ is always clean and the blizzards are delicious. The manager/owner(?) is named Tutul and he is very nice. He began to recognize my boyfriend and I after our numerous visits, and while he never«hooked us up» he always was friendly and gave us a shy smile. Now I’ve moved away and will miss this place. I love other local ice cream shops, but it’s pretty difficult to beat DQ!
