I loved this shopping center until I recently learned that Washington Real Estate Investment Trust who owns and manages the property is forcing Capital Bagel Bakery out! They were given 30 days to leave. What a shame. Forcing a small business out for corporate greed!

Great shopping center! Many places to visit including many restaurants. You can buy Sushi, Fried Rice, Spaghetti and Meat Balls, and Kabob all in one shopping center! They even have a post office. A Fresh Market Grocery store should be opening soon as well. Can’t wait!

This is a helpful shopping center with many stores that I frequented. Hallmark, Uncorked, the Post Office, Giant, the bagel shop, shoe repair, yogurt shop, etc. There’s a lot to see!

This review is ONLYFORTHEBRADLEESUBWAY restaurant. I was unable to specifically call up that Subway to give it its own rating. It tells you alot when it doesn’t even appear on the Subway company’s list of locations in this area. Long story short, I bought a buffalo chicken sandwich there yesterday; it was the only thing I ate all day. I was sick last night and still this morning, after having running diarrhea all night. Needless to say, I will NOT be back. This store also does not fare well on a different rating site. The Shopping Center overall is pretty nice, a 3-star Giant, and a 5-star shoe repair shop. As I recall, the Chicken restaurant was pretty good, but it’s been awhile since I was there. Shoulda gone there yesterday! :)

I love this shopping center. It has everything in 1 stop. You have Cleaners, Post Office, Starbucks, Subway, Sushi, Chinese, Greek/American/Italian, Rite Aid, Batteries, Wine, Hallmark, Gym, Chicken, Ice Cream, 2 Grocery’s. All within walking distance of the surrounding condos and a very short drive from the surrounding burbs. It does get testy around rush hour but I have a system for getting in and out quickly and safely. The only drawback is there are a lot of High School kids around during weekdays because of the proximity to TC Williams. They’re noisy and get in the way a lot but hey, I was one of them once! I wish they would change the McDonald’s back to Roy Rogers though, it was much better.

An interesting little shopping center that you would usually just drive by on King St without taking a second glance, but there are some hidden gems to shop at within(a bakery and a good wine shop right next to each other). While the parking lot is a little tight and oddly laid out, you should still give this strip-mall a shot.

First, let me 2nd Lauren … I don’t consider this area to be in the burbs! However, Vivian is right, traffic can be a challenge, especially after work or on weekends. That said, this place rocks for some great small stores, especially my fave, Pro Feed pet shop, as well as other useful go-to’s like Batteries Plus.

This is a local well established strip mall, it has been in the community for a very long time. If you live in the neighborhood you are likely to hit it up when you need something from the liqueur store, Starbucks or McDonald’s; but locally owned shop loves of the word can be happy here there are many of those in this strip mall too. A previous post said every one here is in a rush, well I dislike to burst any bubbles but Alexandria is not the burbs, and Bradlee is a in and out place if I’m there for more than half hour, it was becasue I got sucked in to the Hallmark store or in line at the highest volume post office in Alexandria. My tip is if you park in the tiny parking lot of of Braddock road in the back you will find it less hectic.

Stores are very good — pastry shop is wonderful, Golden Dragon is the only place where I order my Chinese delivery around here. But, beware the traffic, both pedestrian and vehicular, in the parking lot. It seems that a lot of people are just in a rush, even in the burbs, to do whatever godly important thing it is that they have to do.
