When I walked in to this tiny shop I thought I’d gone to heaven. Then I started looking at the huge variety of beads and was more convinced my first impression was right. Then I saw the prices and knew I was indeed in bead heaven. Yes it’s a small shop but boy is it packed with goodies, plus the owner is a real sweetheart. Lovely to talk to although she wouldn’t let me move in… wonder why. It’s a bit of a hunt finding the place but a real treasure when you do.

If you are a beader and live nearby, then this is a cute little place for you. Service is very personal. First timers get a tour of the store so items can be easily found. Don’t let the size of the shop fool you. Beads are from the floor to the ceiling and everywhere else! Where else can you get the sales person to tell you the origin and history of some of the beads? Nowhere in NOVA!

This store is drenched in beads from wall to wall. The only place there isn’t beads is on the ceiling. The great thing about this place is their price. The quality is so much better and the price is so much cheaper than craft stores like Michaels. My only complaint is their very limited hours.

It took me forever to find this place! It’s hiding behind the Wachovia across from the Belleview Shopping Center. It’s a tiny shop that’s choc full of beautiful beads. They have an array of rare vintage beads and the prices are decent. Although i have never met the owner, her brother is extremely friendly and helpful. I love this place!

Before I moved to the west coast, this place used to be my lunch hour hangout. Seriously. The owner has spent YEARS accumulating this stash, and this store represents just a small fraction of what she has. Sure the hours are odd, but waiting is so worth it. The place is perfectly stocked with everything you could need to make your next creation. EVERYTHING. Stop by and say hello to the wonderful owner and her brother!

This tiny store is the size of a walk-in closet, so at first you assume the selection is small. Size can be deceiving. The owner has put every space to use and I’ve never gone away empty-handed. The store specializes in glass, though there are a few mineral beads and vintage bakelite type stuff. There is a lot of pressed czech glass in different shapes, as well as faceted glass(czech or swarovski, depending on how much you want to pay). There are also specialty items such as African trade beads. Prices aren’t low, but are in line with the retail bead trade. Hours are limited and random, so call ahead before going. It’s in the small complex of townhouse businesses across from the Safeway shopping center.
