JJ&K Custom Remodeling and Painting

I heard about JJ&K through a friend of mine who had used them for finishing their basement. She was very happy with the quality of work and care that was taken throughout the process. I am glad I took her suggestion to use them too! The whole process from A to B went smooth. John, the owner, worked hard to make sure the details of my kitchen were on par to what I wanted. The cabinets are top of the line and It ended up not costing as much as other companies were trying to charge me and the tiling and granite installation was timely and turned out beautiful. The work they do is honest and top notch. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to do remodeling on their home.

Hired JJ & K to finish my basement and they were exceptional! They showed up early each day and were very prepared to work. The final outcome was terrific and the care the company took to make sure I was satisfied was «old school».
I would definitely recommend using them.

My husband and I are now shopping around to hire a company to remodel our kitchen. We have already looked at 3 different companies who came to our home, measured our kitchen, and sent us cost estimates. So by now we know exactly what we want, we know what services and materials exist, and we know the vocabulary and terminology of kitchen remodeling. The representatives from all the other companies who we talked to before have been very polite, or at least professional and neutral, and everyone has respected our budget and our concerns. JJ&K was the 4^th company we talked to, and so far it has been the worst. The employee that showed up (John) was one hour late, which can be forgiven, I understand, they are busy. But he was also extremely rude, extremely aggressive, talked to me in a very patronizing and condescending manner (too bad my husband was not present for moral support, I don’t think he would dare to talk to an older male in that manner), and he tried to push more expensive options on me that I don’t really want or need. When I firmly told him I do not really need these options, he called me aggressive (!!!), said that his company and me are not a good fit, and stormed out of my house. I am not going to lie to you, maybe their materials are excellent, and maybe they do a very fast and good quality job. But customer-​service-​wise, I believe their behavior is not acceptable. I invited them to my own home, I was prepared to pay them a huge chunk of money ($ 20 000), and I was never rude or aggressive with them. I just firmly stated that I do not want some fancier and more expensive options, and as a client I have a right to do that. So, maybe they do a decent job on the actual remodeling, but I leave it up to you to decide.
