All of the reviews on this hotel are old, and an update is definitely needed. Checked in on a Sunday evening for work the following week. Even though I signed a statement that it is a non-smoking hotel, the first room I was given reeked of cigarette smoke. The man at the front desk willingly gave me another room. Settled in to watch a little TV, and the cable reception was horrible. When I called the front desk, the same man was very condescending and very irritated that I continued to bother him, offering no solutions and uttering many deep sighs of frustration when I continued to ask for help. I travel in my job for a living, and I do not need attitude from a hotel desk clerk. If something needs to be repaired it needs to be done without a lot of heavy sighs and condescending attitude. The internet speed is also very substandard. I do not recommend this hotel. It is obviously slipping since the previous reviews a few years ago.

Passing through Marysville, hubster and I stopped here for a rest stop. A very clean hotel, the rooms were decorated beautifully, a comfie bed, with lots of pillows. Breakfast was wonderful eggs, bacon, sausage, as well as cereal. The bathroom could have used some updates, that is why I am not giving 5 stars. I would recommend this hotel. ~julie

If there was 10 stars they deserve it. (United Airlines gets negative 10 however after being hamstrung twice by them in the last two weeks.) After checking out at the ass crack of dawn(5am) and returning our rental car, the friendly folks here spared us from travel hell. They let us check back in at 10am, after United dropped our flight and even provided a free shuttle. Our rebooked flight didn’t leave until 2:45 pm so they allowed us late checkout & provided a pop-up crib since ours had been checked as baggage. The little one got to nap while we enjoyed complimentary breakfast.(Not just cereal people. I’m talking biscuits & gravy action). Anyone traveling with a one year old, coast to coast, knows that we were saved from being strung out airport zombies. This is the first time in a long while I’ve had this level of customer service from a corporate institution or even a local joint for that matter. It was like home town family treatment. This is my first trip«down south» and if this is what southern hospitality is all about I just might give up my Yankee status and move on down here.

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times and i was never disappointed. Breakfast is what you expect. The rooms are nice. Ample parking. Indoor pool. Friendly staff. Suggestion — more pillows on the king size bed please! Much better than the hotel across the way.

Stayed here for one night for a weekend wedding. I’d say that I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable it was. And after talking with some other friends who were staying at other places, our king-sized bed was an actual king-size bed. Why do I say that? Well, apparently, the place that our other friends stayed at advertised a king-sized bed and really, it was two twin-sized beds pushed together with a king-sized egg crate laid on top. plus, free internet and hot breakfast(well, although advertised as «free» you can look at it as «included» in the price of the hotel if you’d like). overall, affordable, clean and comfortable = would stay here again if we were in the area.

Very nice hotel! My wife & I spent our first Honeymoon night here before our flight the next morning out of TYS to Orlando. The room was incredible, jacuzzi suite with mirrors on the wall, huge king size bed, very contemporary styling. The room was quite large and comfortable. The breakfast was more than I expected, I had milk, coffee, biscuits w/gravy and eggs and there was still a long list of other foods to choose from. Checkout was easy, just leave the key in the room and your on your way. Would definitely stay here again. When researching hotels in the area the cost of this jacuzzi suite was less than a standard room at other area hotels.

This is a pretty nice Holiday Inn, especially because it’s an express(which is generally on the lower end of the Holiday Inns). The hotel is very clean(it actually smells good!) the front desk employees are always very pleasant, the complimentary breakfast is pretty decent, housekeeping is very nice and efficient, there’s a pool and a tiny workout room. A couple notes if you stay here: First, right across the parking lot is a nice gym that you can use for $ 8 a day. This is a full gym with numerous weight machines, free weights, classes, and tons of cardio machines. Look for the building with the blue roof. Also, there’s a great little running path right next to the hotel. Ask the front desk. This Holiday Inn is about 20 minutes from Knoxville, 5 minutes from the airport and about 45 minutes from Gatlinburg. There’s a few restaurants right in the same parking lot and numerous other places to eat within minutes of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.
