Uptown Park Dental Center

I haven’t been back for a while but was recommended to them by a trusted friend. My experience there was always pretty pleasant. My only complaint would be the receptionist were always a little rude. I will go back and depending on my experience I will update this review.

This review is on the oral surgery I received here. I haven’t had regular dental work done her, yet.
The dental practice I originally went to: Mason & Chapman Family dentistry, told me they couldn’t do ANY dental work unless I got my wisdom teeth removed, and the oral surgeon they referred me to did not accept my insurance, so I had to look for one on my own!
Uptown Park Dental was in my PPO network, so I literally just chose this place on a whim. I had a consultation with Dr. Meehan who is their resident oral surgeon, and he was so very nice and assuring. He explained everything I needed to know, and sent me home with some more reassuring literature about wisdom teeth extractions, and what to expect, what foods to eat, and how to prepare yourself. I felt so much better after the consultation, and booked the appointment right after.
The surgery went surprisingly well! The first couple of numbing shots pinched a little, but after that, I couldn’t feel a thing. I was sore for the next couple of days, but I guess that’s how it goes.
I am VERY pleased with Dr. Meehan, and I would recommend him to anyone who needs their wisdom teeth out!

I have been a patient of Dr Baca-​Lucero since 2005. For the majority of my visits it was strictly routine visits. Exam and X-​rays. All of the staff is very friendly and they have a great environment. For Halloween the office is decorated and the staff all dressed up. One year I got to vote on their home made Easter baskets and they drew a name to win a basket full of dental care supplies and fun stuff.
Recently I had a night guard made to help with my grinding and I feel much better. I recommend her to all my friends and family. If I have any future dental needs I will be calling Dr Lucero!

I will NOT be going back to this location. First off, I usually have to wait for at least 15 minutes before my appointment. The staff is usually at least polite (I wouldn’t go so far as to say friendly).
This review is negative because of the extremely POOR dentistry I’ve had at Uptown Park Dental. Dr. Baca-​Lucero has botched almost everyone of my fillings so that they are rough and rub raw patches in my cheeks. The most recent one I had filled less than a year ago fell out in the middle of the night this weekend and has been causing me discomfort. Now I’ll have to go BACK in and have it done all over again. Also, I had to have a night-​guard made. It was made poorly and so it is causing my top teeth (which I spent 2 painful years in high school in braces for) to shift out of alignment – which now I’ll probably have to get Invisalign for on top of paying for a new night-​guard.
Do not go to Uptown Park Dental!!!
