Came alone as I’m a worrier of the road. Eating shit meal after shit meal. So I treat myself once in a while. A steak? You bet your ass. I had a long long week. I deserve it right? This fucking place! Steak fine… Salad? Sure up charge. Mac n cheese? Up charge again. Oh did you want a fork? Too bad! Your salad? Dip shit three seats down got it. Napkin? Fuck off! How was it??? Nobody cares. Alone! Easiest customer you will ever meet. Nope… I’m invincible. They make me leave a star by the way.

First of all the Tbone had so much gristle and tendons I just dont even know why they charge $ 26.99 for it. There isn’t a good grill flavor because it seems like propane grilled and not what a real steakhouse would do. Paid $ 1.99 extra for a side salad and that was the best thing they had. The mac and cheese was buffet type-open the cheese packet and squeeze it into a bowl and throw some breadcrumbs and put under heat lamp. The baked potato would have been good if I hadnt found a random rectangle shape cut piece of straight up raw potato under the sour cream and cheese? Wtf? Ok. Didnt eat the potato. Our server was nice, but there was a girl parading around in those stupid loud boots and kept obnoxiously walking by out of spite it seemed. Get rid of the boots! If you’re passing through be careful here bc the quality is buffet quality(NOT steakhouse) and they charge steakhouse prices.

I was disappointed. Had heard so much abt the food but perhaps it’s because I didn’t order steak. Maybe next time. The beer battered fish was recommended as a «lighter» meal,(description: Atlantic wild cod, Tabasco tartar sauce, Ranger India pale, ale batter, and coleslaw) but the oil seemed a bit old — tho not rancid — and that oily batter was the most flavorful part of the entrée. Certainly a lot of fish on that plate, but no bueno. Thankfully, the salsa bar had some pinto beans and an assortment of soups that took the edge off of the hunger pangs. Th seasonal campfire cobbler was good, over-the-top sweet, but came out hot and at least it had a peach semblance to it My server Jessica was delightful. Will definitely order a steak at my visit.

Our server was great but the steak was thin cut and lots of muscle. The potato pancake was greasy and the corn on the cob had been cooked long before we arrived

Thunder Road, great food, try the beef ribs, flavor is almost unreal, nice smokey flavor, truthfully fall off the bone tender. This is the true star of the eateries at RT. 66. Wait for hostess slow, but I would wait for this. I decided that I would try this place a few times before I posted the total review. I love BBQ, so I went back for the auce bbq, brisket was ok as well as the sausage, the pork riblets as they called them were dry, so I say the auce is good if you Like brisket or sausage, sides were a slaw that no one in our group liked, beans are charro beans, just, average. Went again, my wife had their tampico seafood platter, she raved the crab was cooked perfect, great flavor, blackened tilapia was way too spicy, even for me, all other seafood was great I had the chuck beef rib and as before it was knock out of the park delicious, fall of the bone tender, I give this dish a 5 star for sure.
