What a yummy little hole in the wall sandwich shop! The Sandwich company has been established in ABQ for many years. They offer a colorful selection of sandwiches and traditional New Mexican cusine! I ate the Albuquerque Turkey, my friend the Huevos Rancheros and we both had a side of pasole, delicious! The service was speedy and friendly, the atmosphere is old school dinner with nostalgia. If you want a quick bite to eat or just a place to sit and enjoy a good sandwich, The Sandwich Company hits the spot!

As an out of town traveler, this is exactly the type of place I’m looking for! Local, hole-in-the-wall, friendly, clean and inexpensive. The food was delicious, lots of local flavor. Feels like you are eating at a friends grandmothers house.

This place was so delicious. It is has such a good selection of food. I had a chicken sandwich with grapes and it was super tasty. I also tried the posole as my side of soup, it was great. I recommend for a quick stop, good price and yummy food.

Prices are a bit high for most occasions, but the green chili stew is really awesome! The only place I’ve found better green chili stew is Quarters BBQ, but the prices are even higher there!

Sometimes I really wonder what’s in the beef. I’m not questioning the Sandwich Company’s burgers, I’m sure they’re well above the pink slime pedigree of the average fast food joint. It’s just very, very hard to find great beef virtually anywhere in America. I’m talking beef that somewhere along the line wasn’t injected with steroids or antibiotics, from a cow that actually walked around a pasture, you know, ate some grass. It doesn’t seem like much to ask, but it’s seriously nearly impossible to find. I can think of… maybe five or six restaurants in the entire metro area which promote great beef. Everyone else? Well, you have to wonder. And that’s what I obsessed over while I took bite after bite of a green chile bacon burger at the Sandwich Company. The burger itself was an above average take on an American staple. Not juicy, but flavorful enough and fresh off the grill. The bun was bland, but the toppings made it a mouthful. The side of potatoes was interesting, but probably not necessary. Oh, and the salad bar: a great surprise. I didn’t expect the place to offer greens(sorry, my expectations have been tarnished by too many Midwestern cafés), and I was really surprised about the overall freshness and limited but impressive selection. The green first course made the greasy second course easier to swallow, literally and figuratively. The place is cutesy and sort of Down Home, with country-style decorations and a staff that’s all about business. Lunch can get hectic because of limited space, so plan to come early. For the price, I wasn’t terribly impressed, but it’s hard to find any sandwich under $ 10 these days. Cute shop.

quaint place, love the atmosphere with antiques strewn about and great window views. A little on the pricey side and mediocre customer service. I got the ABQ turkey sandwich — nice and spicy!
