Recording artists: microphone check-​check it out.
This relatively new recording space is worth digging into in. The emcee, Howard, is a veteran master of ceremonies with experience recording in Manhattan for some seriously prominent artists, and he’s put together a totally smart and intimate space for up-​and-​coming, as well as established, local artists. From what I understand the contractual agreements he offers are really centered on allowing artists to control their work long-​term, and the pricing is competitive, if not a steal.
Full disclosure: I’ve simply witnessed recordings in this den. I have no idea what it’s like to hatch my little musical eggs in this nest, and I’ll leave those reviews up to the artists themselves. But Howard definitely supports a growing, totally grassroots music scene throughout New Mexico and if you’re looking for someone who will nurture your particular sound, musical or otherwise, you need to check this place out.
