I rarely shop here, and when I do it is for the less than healthy food options I eat when I’m stressed — crappy frozen pizza, white flour tortillas, and chocolate wafers. I recommend you ALWAYS check the date on fish, as I once purchased frozen fish that was 3 months old and probably first sold fresh then frozen… don’t even get me started on the quality of the brown or red dyed meat.(oh yeah, the manager on duty was an ass when I asked for my money back on the fish). Oh yeah, the poor to rotting produce section is probably part of the reason why this area of town has such a high rate of diabetes. Sigh, why does living in a poor neighborhood mean living in an unhealthy food neighborhood(um, don’t answer that). If there is one positive it is that the staff(other than the one ass of a manager) is really really friendly. They are also way more helpful and funny than one might expect. They deserve 5 starts.
