I really enjoyed our visit. Food was amazing. Wait-staff was knowledgeable and ambiance was wonderful. Best part was the assistance; after a flawed product was discovered when we returning home(states away); customer service went out of their way to replace. I can’t say enough good things about this place!

My first time to the St. James Tea Room. We celebrated my girlfriends birthday. What a wonderful place with delicious food paired with just the right teas! The rooms are all themed and they can accommodate small parties of two or even groups of ten! Have fun with it! Come dressed up! They even have hats you can borrow if you like! The menu changes monthly so it would be easy to find an excuse to visit without a birthday to celebrate! I can’t wait to come back!

I just love this place so much. It is fun to get dressed up in fancy clothes and fancy hats and sit in their little Victorian rooms. Not to worry — they have hats that you can wear if you didn’t bring one. Not only is the atmosphere adorable but the tea and food are AMAZING! They charge approximately $ 30/person but you get so much food and tea so it is worth it.

St. James Tearoom — Albuquerque, NM– My goodness. I went to a birthday here with one of my best friends the other day. It was my first time going, but not the first time I had heard of it. I had always heard such good things, but looking over the menu I was a little worried. Everything seemed a little gourmet for my tastes, and I am sometimes a picky eater, so I thought I would hate this place. WRONG. So very WRONG! I loved this place! I can’t wait to go back. All of the teas we had *3* were incredible. The second tea was especially amazing. I really love that they change the menu each month and roll with a theme. That is really unique and awesome for them to do. I also like that it almost feels like a mini play, because it seems that all the waitresses have a bit of line rehearsal to do and they work in the theme of the month and all too. Service was exceptional. Our waitress really knew her lines and her menu well. Let me just add too all the food for the most part was pretty darn amazing! There were only a couple of items I did not sample because they contained things I knew I wouldn’t eat. But everything I did was amazing. The environment was so much fun too! It was a lot of fun to dress up and go have tea with the ladies for a double birthday celebration. Now I’m going to take my best friend here when she gets back in town, and I’ll take my husband here for date night soon! I can’t wait to go back, this might become our monthly splurge/treat!

I have been coming here since October 2015. Every month I still get excited to have an excellent tea time with my friends. I love how they have different theme and menus each month. Keeps everything exciting and fun :) People here are so kind and respectful. Outstanding service every visit. Their tea is so good! I started buying my tea here and good rid of my lipton teas. Hehe Can’t wait to go back! Let’s not forget about their scrumptious scones! Yum!

I have visited the St. James Tearoom since I was a small child. I have always loved going, and have made many other happy memories there since! The experience in going is always so fun and intimate – the servers address the customers in a formal yet welcoming manner, and each pair/group of customers get their own little rooms, closed off by thick curtains. The chairs are cozy, the décor is cute and fun, and the chairs are cozy and fancy. They have a new theme for the tea party each month, which brings a different menu for each month as well. The tea is always amazing, and the food is so delicious. It seems tiny, but it’s really filling. I love having 2 hours that is just for the person/people I’m with and me. It’s really fun to get dressed up and have high tea with my family and friends!

Hands down THEBEST tea room I have ever been to and I have been to many! I love the fact that they rotate their menu every month and it is themed, such a fantastic idea. The food and the creativity that goes into the menu is wonderful! The service was delightful as well! I can’t wait to go back. I wish they were closer to where I live!

The Saint James tea room used to be my favorite place to go for a quiet relaxing tea room experience. Today was not that experience. Yes the food and tea was delicious and we had a fabulous server. The problem came with the other guest or shall I call them restaurant patrons. The noise level was so high it was difficult to hold conversation or even have meditation in your own mind. Upon letting the manager know toward the end of the tea room experience her only shall I call it an excuse was that this is a restaurant we can’t tell the customers they need to be quiet. When I walk in a place and they say to silence the cell phone where did the don’t forget your tearoom voices go???

There are few things in life that I enjoy dressing up for, and coming to St. James is one. This is a world class tea room. I’ve been to high tea in Oxford, England and the Empress hotel in Victoria, B.C. I love this place, and come back whenever I can! The tea is great, and the food is fantastic. The décor is very charming. Worth every penny!

I came here on Friday as a girls night out/baby celebration. None of us had ever been before. The experience was really wonderful. Very intimate setting. I would say it is semi private because there were curtains between the tables so you couldn’t see your neighbors but you could hear the conversation. There were 5 of us so we had two couches and a small long narrow table between us. My only real complaint is that we could have used more space on the table. It was pretty tight with all the dishes. The food was amazing! There were three courses, savories, breads, and sweets. My favorite was the sweet bread with the curdled cream. Our server was very nice. Initially I had told them just a few of us wanted decaf/herbal and we all ended up drinking that. The decaf was just a regular decaf black tea. It wasn’t too bad. Then we had the lemon soufflé. It smells and tastes like a sugar cookie. This was my favorite. We ended the night with Van Gogh Smiling which is a beautiful pink color. Be warned! You MUST make a reservation, even for a party of two. They only make enough food for each sitting time and that’s it. I was able to make our reservation with a 48 hour notice although I recommend giving them a little more time. We cut it close with the special food requests(vegetarian).

I’ve been to St James probably 5 times over the years, and it is always a fantastic experience. Every restaurant owner says to themselves, «This is going to be a nice place, it’s going to be exactly how I want it…» But the St James Tea Room actually achieves that. The experience is complete, with every detail looked after. The décor is almost baffling in its richness; the service is exact, polished, and gracious; and the food and drink are selected and crafted with remarkable care. Our good friends took us to St James last evening to celebrate our engagement, and our nook was specially decorated for the event, including a hand-written Congratulations on the table. And our server took the time to not only ask about the celebration, but offer her congratulations at the start and the finish of the tea, as well as remember us with a gift at the conclusion of our stay. We loved every minute of it, as we always do. Thanks St James Tea Room for another memorable evening with friends!

The food was absolutely out of this world incredible. We could have used 2 teapots at our table with 5 of us, however, space was limited and the food was so good we didn’t get too wound up about it. We had the«Tea In The Shire» Menu; Feast on our November menu, «Tea in the Shire», featuring delicacies such as Frodo and Sam’s Rosemary Corncake with Ham, Legolas’ Pear, Leek and Gruyère Tart, and Pippin’s Pistachio Petit Four.

Most fun times are had here. The teas are excellent and so is the food. The staff is also exceptionally kind and attentive. If I could come once a week. I would!

Hands down loved this place! Love the atmosphere. Interior décor was beautiful! My family and I came here for my grandmothers 74th birthday and enjoyed the September menu. We had originally thought it was going to be food food not just finger food. We enjoyed the food but all ate after we left. The tea was phenomenal. The staff was great and the whole experience was awesome! I’ll definitely be back for a girls brunch!

When I want to celebrate someone or enjoy a very special treat, this is the place that knows how to make things special. We recently went to celebrate my son’s 15th birthday and the experience was phenomenal. The tea’s we drank were amazing, the menu we experienced and enjoyed was delicious. The house scone, which is on the menu every month is my favorite sweet and what I look forward to each time! The service is impeccable and you are made to feel like royalty. The décor makes you feel like you stepped back in time. My birthday is coming up this month and guess where I want to go!

With all the hype surrounding this place, I was so excited to celebrate the month of february for their valentine’s day special. We made the online reservation to their special valentine’s day tea. I believe it was $ 52 per person, so we spent over $ 100 for two people. It’s really steep but that’s because it’s one of their special events. With the $ 52 you get a small private room, three tiers with various types of food, and three different types of tea. I do understand that tearooms are expensive, and we come there for three things: atmosphere, tea, and delicious pastries/sandwiches/food. The only reason why I’m giving this place three stars and not 2 stars is because the atmosphere was nice given the small private room and we liked the tea. This tea room however, completely failed at serving good food. I’m not saying the food was inedible, it was simply mediocre and didn’t leave us wanting more of their food. I don’t think the event is worth $ 52 because I can have just as much of a great time not being in a private room, enjoy better food, and spend less money. The scones tasted like KFC biscuits. The macaron wasn’t good. The piece of veggie leaf that had some kind of cheese on it tasted really weird and the veggie was old and shriveled. Biting into the pink heart was like biting into a rock. The red heart was like any other sugar cookie you can buy at walmart. I just didn’t like the food they served on February for their valentine’s day special. I do love going to tea rooms so we might give this place another try. We probably won’t be doing their special events but maybe the regular afternoon tea. Hopefully the food will be as good as the pictures shown. The service was lovely.

I am a big fan of this establishment. I go here once a year to celebrate Mother’s Day and my mom’s birthday. I literally count down the days and months before we go! I love this place because you get some really amazing tea in a very private and quiet atmosphere. It is so nice to take a step back from reality and enjoy time with your mom. The place is so cozy, and honestly a very fancy and elegant atmosphere. I will say that this place is VERYVERY expensive, but it is a nice occasional treat. It is nice to dine here because you get to try finger foods that you may have not otherwise encountered. The scones and creams are great, and the selection is wonderful. This is a great place to treat your mom to! I always leave this place feeling happy and satisfied. Another perk to this establishment is that they offer gluten free and vegetarian options! They also feature upgrades to the menu. You seriously cannot go wrong here. They really do it up to personalize the experience for you!

Where do I begin my fairytale story of this magical Tea Palace! First off the staff is incredibly delightfully pleasant and always makes you feel like a Queen or King. YOU must make a reservation as it’s often«filled to the brim» with anxious guest. I have gone to St James on many occasions, girl time, family birthdays and with my handsome Gentlemen who so love it as well, and it is a must to come for Christmas as this place is decked out for the Season and oooooohhhhhh it sooooooo adorable! You are served delectable & delish bite size of Sweet & Savory along with complimenting lovely Tea’s and lets not forget the mouthwatering scones with the clotted cream absolute happiness :) There menu changes along with a particular theme so you can easily go every month for a magical getaway just like«Alice in Wonderland» This is a one of kind unique place in town and one must not go just once, it is truly a extraordinary enchanting experience for all!

I just love afternoon tea, and St James Tearoom is an afternoon tea experience that is truly unique. Their set menu changes on a monthly basis and is always based on a theme. One month it could be Jane Austen and The Chronicles of Narnia a different month. The thing that is most unlike any other tea experience I have had is that each party gets their own secluded little«nook» in which they take tea. Each nook is filled with cozy, vintage furniture. Besides its special ambiance, the food and teas are delicious. The menu starts off with a sampling of savories, followed by breads and ending with sweets. Each section of the menu is also paired with a different tea. I am always stuffed by the time tea is over. If you just have to have more of one of the teas from the menu, they are also available for purchase in their tea shop.

About once a year, I venture into this Tearoom for some tea with my fellow female engineers for a fun celebration. Year after year, St. James Tearoom has always been consistent with their introduction of each different type of teas, how to drink them as well as pairing them with the delicious finger foods. The thing about St. James Tea room is that it is a great place to gather for any occasion and as a female, it is always nice to dress up and bring your own unique hats to the tea party. P.S they have delicious biscuits that goes very well with their lemon curd and clotted cream.
