The staff and management are poor communicators, leaving huge gaps in information that, as a new transplant to the area searching for childcare for my two children, proved very frustrating. There are a number of hidden fees in addition to the regular tuition(you have to purchase a mat from them for naps and pay for the front entry key pad… huh?) and they still ask for parents’ social security numbers. Who does that anymore? I have a PhD in educational leadership so I know what good ed leadership looks like. Southwest isn’t it. I’m thankful I found better arrangements for my children.

As a very nervous first time mom, daycare has been a very hard issue for me to deal with. I already pulled my little one out of a different facility just because certain factors made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. SWCC has been amazing when it comes to introducing me and my family to a responsible day care settings. Staff is very experienced and is very willing to involve parents with what goes on at this facility on a daily basis. I have never been more comfortable and confident with any other daycare facility. I should also add that their CYFD inspection reports are just about immaculate when compared to 90% of other day cares in Albuquerque! Price is INCREDIBLY reasonable. Then again, I’d pay anything to make sure my children are being properly cared for. Tou can’t put a price on peace of mind. I couldn’t imagine sending any of my children anywhere else!

Horrible would be a gentle euphemism… I pulled my daughter outta here couple years ago & still hear the horror stories… honestly, my daugher was bitten over 20 times in the span of a year & their response at the end was that«This is just what kids do», really? In the summer they didnt take kids’ sweaters off to play outside(since their a/c was cranked up so high inside the kids had to wear them) I picked up my daughter a couple times, her face(among all the others) all red & flustered saying she was hot and thirsty… wow No structure either, all they’re doing is babysitting and the kids run wild, no education. They offer food but chow time is just that~ one bowl in the middle of the table & the kids eat as fast as they can to make sure they’re gonna get their portion, that’s terrible on the digestive system at any age. When I did pull my daughter out they had her outside waiting, on the steps, with her belongings & a staff memeber standing up above. Real nice in the dead heat of summer. They say they are a 5-star rated facility, however when you observe how the rating system works, they need only a kitchen facility to attain this rating, ridiculous! Need I go on? Dont send your little ones here… They dont seem to care much
