My favor coffee place to visit every time we’re in town from Los Angeles. People are so friendly & the café de fuego is delicious w a lil kick!

Without a doubt the best coffee in town. It irritates me when people state that Starbucks is the best. True coffee snobs even hate driving by SB. Satellite has phenomenal coffee and nice lunch and breakfast choices. Not only in ABQ but nationwide mom and pop coffee shops have an incredible hurdle to overcome. They usually take pride and offer an excellent brew. Support local!

I can honestly say that this is one of a handful of places that I consider myself a regular at. Satellite has several convenient locations and I’ve always had great service. A guy at the one located at the one on university was the one who really got me to become a regular. He’s really friendly and had several great suggestions that never failed. Free WiFi makes satellite a great place to study and to get your caffeine on. My only beef with the place is that they don’t really have many vegan friendly food options beyond bread and oatmeal(story of a vegan’s life!). Must haves: mystic mint tea, 9-grain bagel, and the toasted marshmallow hot chocolate(!!!). Overall, a fantastic local coffee shop with decent drinks and eats! Oh and the Alameda location has a dog friendly patio!

I’ve been to all the satellite coffee locations, but this one is probably the best coffee shop you’ll ever go to as far as ambiance, décor and vibe. It’s pitted right up next to the cottonwoods along the Rio Grande, right near the entrance to the village of Corrales. A great place to go in the winter and sit next to their fire while you look through the forest, or in the summer out on the patio with the cotton from the cottonwoods floating through the air. The coffee and drinks are fantastic as well and priced reasonably. I recommend the Peanutbutter Mocha Frape style drink they make, unbelievable.

If you’re looking for a nice, quiet and a coffee shop within walking distance to the river bank than this place is for you. It’s conveniently located on Coors and Alameda since you can stop by, grab a cup of dirty chai and be on your way to work since we all know Alameda is a better route to travel to the East side of town. They do have tables outside and you can sit under the huge trees and watch cars, people and bicyclists since it’s right next to the Bosque trail. Speaking of which, want a perfect date? Swing by get a coffee and walk to the Bosque trail — about ¼ mile east of this shop, then you and your significant other can watch the sun set whilst feeding the geese/ducks. Would it be a perfect or near perfect place to study/read? I’d think so, it’s quieter than flying star — its bigger brother. One down side, its food/drink menu isn’t as big as its big brother. Last but not least, if you have a reward account with Flying Star or a gift card, it can be used here as well and vice versa.

If you don’t mind calories and a huge caffeine buzz get the Black Velvet. It is soooooo good! Very rich and sweet, so it takes me most of the day to drink it and I don’t get it often… but when I do, Oh, boy! I also really like the café con leche. It’s their yummy coffee mixed with a little condensed milk! You can get it iced or hot a great pick-me-up that’s a little more exciting than your average cuppa joe. The rabbit wrap is another thing I’m a huge fan of. Lots of veggies(kale, red bell peppers, shredded carrot, etc.) with hummus in a whole wheat tortilla – a great lunch option. My daughter and husband are big fans of the croissants and bagels. I like to support local, especially when they do things well like these guys do!

I try to shop and eat local whenever possible, and Satellite is my go-to coffee shop around town. This location is nearest my house and I find myself here at least once a week. It’s a great location for grabbing a drink to go on the way into town, but also a great atmosphere for hanging around to get some work done or chill on the patio with the pups. The staff at this location are always super friendly and the drinks are delicious and always superior to the typical chain coffee shop down the street. I love the Mexican latte when I’m in the mood for a fancier hot drink and the new remix iced coffee is delicious on a hot summer day.

Great atmosphere. Good coffee — The Turkish Latte is amazing. Will be back if I need coffee and internet in ABQ again.

Nice coffee shop to meet friends and enjoy some Joe. The iced tea is to die for and the smell of fresh roasted coffee is heavenly when you walk in.

Seriously I have to stop this chocolate coffee chile and whipped cream addiction! Sooo good and they’ll even make decaf version for my afternoon fix. I think I’m in love with my barista OR is it the coffee talking? @SatelliteCoffee #MokaDeFuego #WantHisNumber

This place was a go to spot for breakfast and a couple cups of Joe. We would still be going there if we didn’t move to the Denver area. This place is a local chain and serves up only the highest quality food and coffee. We would get a bagel, breakfast burrito, iced coffee and a fancy coffee drink for a little under $ 20. If we went to Village in we would probably spend that so I didn’t think it was a bad deal. Miss this place and wish they would come up to Denver!

I used to love Satellite. Their coffee and hot chocolate are about the best around. They also used to have some of the best pastries. However, they have dropped so many of their special items, that I no longer go there. First they stopped carrying French Roast coffee, which was the favorite of all my coffee loving friends. Then they stopped making the strawberry blondie cupcake, by far their most delicious. They dropped the chocolate peanut butter drink, which was a delight. They also dropped the strawberry lemon beignets. But the worst-they no longer carry any croissants! That did it for me.

Prices are reasonable(comparable to Starbucks) but I like their selection of hot and cold drinks better. Staff are always friendly and I love the atmosphere. Plus they have a good variety of sandwiches and desserts.

I love Satellite Coffee, especially this one. Why? Because I can run over to Rudy’s, grab some breakfast tacos, then run over here to Satellite and get my turkish latte with cardamon and honey, sit on the patio with my pack(husband and dog), read, talk, watch the cars zip by, dish on the yoga folks coming and going next door, send the husband back to Rudy’s for one more taco, please, get another drink, sit, talk …

I got up for this? Wanted to start the short week with a flare and I had my heart set on a London Fog and a traditional English scone. I will never again get up at 6am to experience such mediocrity. First off, the tea was weak and lukewarm. When I order an Earl Grey, I expect it to be hot with a strong taste of bergamot. Neither was true. The scone was at least a day old and similar to a brick hard biscuit. It was crumbly and dry. I choked down only half. Did I mention over priced? My last sip of the London Fog included a small wad of tea leaves I didn’t see coming. Or at least I’m hoping it was tea leaves and not something that would eventually be walking back up. Next time I get a wild hair to get up early, SOMEBODYSTOPME!

This orbiter of the Flying Star is a fun, arty, comfortable place to start a day, do a bit of business, or spend time visiting with friends. I drink coffee. No frappé, latte, mate, mocha and such for me. For my limited vocabulary of taste, the coffee is very good. Lighter style breakfast burritos and pastries available. All beans and leaves available to take home and enjoy.

First time at this coffee shop… The espresso drinks are good. But why didn’t I get a full cup? I hate when that happens. Is this normal?

The coffee is always delicious and the staff are always friendly and welcoming, usually engaging me in conversation. It’s a step above what one would get at an overly crowded Starbucks. The staff is also good about recommending drinks, particularly if you’re with someone who isn’t too big on coffee. Their Mexican latte is fantastic, and they have a wide selection of coffee that you can bag and take home with you.

Great coffee, great atmosphere, friendly staff, and extensive menu. If you’re hungry, there are lunch items as well as a pastry counter. And if you just feel like grabbing some Joe with friends and camping out for an hour on the couch(or on the patio if it’s nice out), nobody is going to chase you off. If anything, they’ll ask you if you’d like a refill. This place CAN get a little overrun with laptop users, it being the only real alternative to camping out at Starbucks, but there’s usually plenty of space to have a seat.(Usually, not all the time.) My only gripe about Satellite are those last few dregs of coffee. They tend to be grainy, and if you got a flavored coffee, it seems like their syrups settle to the bottom rather than fully incorporating into the drink. Don’t be surprised if you get a mouthful of grainy syrup if you try to finish off your drink completely. Ick.

Sister restaurant to flying star. Employees are responsive, alert and ready to make your day! Place is too cool and I am not referring to the air conditioning. Great Mexican Soy Lattes…
