OK, coffee is very important to me, as is supporting locally owned businesses. So when I have the chance to grab a Satellite coffee over a Starbucks I will always choose Satellite. The quality is absolutely equal. I also like the food served at satellite café more than Starbucks. A New Mexico grabburrito is so delicious!

Satellite Coffee is a cool local coffee place and diner. I tend to use it more as a diner since I don’t drink coffee. This location is fun, but it can get busy at lunchtime since it’s by UNMH and surgicenter among other places. I had one of my favorites — the BLT. This is a great take on a BLT with toasted pretzel bread. The ingredients are fresh and top quality. I also enjoy the salad that comes with it. I also had a glass of the Red Stuff. I don’t normally drink juice things, but I love cranberry juice, and whatever else they put in it, so I think it’s OK to splurge occasionally. In the past, I’ve had pastries, salads, and some drinks here. Everything has been great quality, and I brought friends and family visiting from the mainland to Satellite who really enjoyed it – they were also coffee aficionados, so I take it their coffee is good too. =)

As others have noted, this is a good campus coffee place that is not too close to main campus. The food is good, fresh, and the portions are right – even though it is a bit pricey. Had the«Greek street wrap»(can I just say that I’m just so over this calling everything«street» food; really, is this what people are eating on the streets of Athens? I doubt it). The wrap was flavorful, but $ 9+ for hummus, greens, feta, and artichokes in a tortilla seems excessive. The service, as always, was friendly and attentive.

Staff at this location is always cool. Especially Holls! They need to dress my bagel to help with Eco.

Poor service. When asked for assistance with wifi, The password did not work. The female manager with the ponytail and glasses was abrupt and rude. Satellite was surprisingly empty at this evening time. The bagel tasted stale and cold. The iced coffee was bitter. For locally owned, it does nothing to stand out from Starbucks. Thanks for reading. This is a good place to meet someone for a tasty bite and a great cup of coffee. There’s an excellent selection of pastries, and, of course, many excellent coffee options. It’s quiet and comfortable. What’s not to like?

I loved this place! The décor was really cute and the location was nice – right by the University. I grabbed a latte – very nice and refreshing on the hot day – and the eastern veggie sandwich. I was torn between that and the rabbit wrap! But really, it was a great pairing. The place was clean and really well decorated. The people behind the counter/baristas were really helpful and nice – even popping over to our table to bring us our meals. Will definitely be going back if I happen to be back in NM!

I’ve spent a lot of time here as a family member goes through treatment at the UNM Cancer center next door. Good food, good coffee, but perhaps most important a very friendly and considerate service staff. It’s been a real oasis for me during this time, I think the staff know they are playing a role in the healing process of some patrons.

This has become my favorite coffee shop near campus. It’s a busy place, but not the busiest coffee place, like some of the others next to campus. This is nice because there is actually room to park and you don’t have to wait for a table, even during their busy hours. It’s the perfect setting a for a meeting and there’s always table room if you need to spread out a bit to work on anything. I appreciate that it’s more of the North Campus student crowd, rather than a ton of loud undergrads or table hogs that stay forever sipping a cup of coffee and never leave. The coffee is good, there’s study snacks, and the staff is kind. Definitely worth checking out.

Great food! Unique flavors, delicious and filling. Coffee is AMAZING. Got the Mexican Latte and loved it so much I got a second one! Customer service was good. Art work and décor was very tasteful. Neat little coffee shop!

I come here all the time because it’s right by UNM and it’s a perfect place to study off campus. I love the tea and sandwiches, they have a kitchen which isn’t common among all Satellites around town. So their food isn’t a frozen sandwich thrown into the oven. It’s also a local chain and it’s always good to support local! Only complaint minimal outlets for laptops and parking lot is small but that’s expected so close to campus

After a long day of travel we needed a place to hang out for an hour. Can not believe we have never stopped in before. Great coffee selection mugs on request and an array of sandwiches healthy soup of the day and lots of beverages and wifi! Definite college hang out but was perfect for us young at heart.

Oh, Caramel Dulce! Where have you been all my life?! This coffee joint is a local chain, with a terrific variety of coffees, teas, and espressos. If your palate is open to things better than StarbucksC chekc it out. They have deskish snacks, sweets, and breakfast or lunch items. If you’re a froufrou drink fan, they have you covered. My newest obsession is the Caramel Dulce. It has the perfect balance of sweet, the right milk to coffee ratio, and we’re madly in love. Service is quick and friendly, and the cups are eco friendly. What’s not to love?!

Stopped by randomly when we were driving through Albuquerque and Santa Fe for an early morning coffee run. The espresso drink menu was a bit unique so I went with a Turkish style latte which had cinnamon and cardamom in it. It was different(good different) and even though I don’t usually drink lattes, I’d order it again. I didn’t go for food, but it looked fantastic. It was overall a cool spot near the UNM campus that I would frequent often if I lived in Albuquerque.

Never been to such a terrible coffee shop! Waited in like for 20 minutes then finally got to order and the lady was beyond rude. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese to go, I get home to find she didn’t even give me cream cheese or a knife. Don’t understand how hard it is to just do your job.

Satellite Coffee is a great«not Starbucks» stop in Albuquerque. I learned from the gentleman working the register that they have quite a few locations across the city. Good coffee(I had an almond milk latte — something you still won’t find at Starbucks, for whatever reason), good iced tea(I purchased a reusable iced cup and it came with a free serving of iced coffee or tea — win!), and good breakfast food(I had a wrap. Simple. Good. Not soggy.) Free, easy parking, like most places in Albuquerque. Lots of tables. From the number of folks with laptops, I would guess there’s free WiFi as well. Good quick stop for a bite and your morning java fix.

I’m not a fan of chains and coffee chains are no exception. But I had a meeting here a couple of weeks ago and so I chose to bite the bullet and give it a shot. I can say, this place isn’t half bad. I had the dirty chai frozen and I am officially hooked. I have been craving the thing ever since and even decided to swing by this past weekend for no other purpose than to drink one midafternoon. Also, I like the spaciousness of this location(University) and the relaxing vibe. I can’t say I’d make a habit of coming by here, but I certainly don’t feel as guilty for coming here as I do stepping in a Dunkin or a Starbucks. Oh, and I also tried the white mocha hot and the horchata frio, both of which were delcious, if sure to contribute to a case of diabetes in my future.
