Funny. The Monday I was supposed to be «squeezed in», I scheduled an appointment with Albuquerque Plumbing. Just after the tech left, I got a call from Preferred saying I had an appointment between 12 & 1 (it was after 12) & he was on his way. I didn’t answer the phone, not worth my time. Don’t know WHEN this appointment was supposedly made since I was never contacted. They called several more times. My doorbell rang. Opened it to what looked like a 15 year old saying «I hear you need some work done». Told him no, I didn’t. He said I had an appointment. I said no, I didn’t. He said «they’ve been trying to call you for the last hour». Told him they should have called me sooner & I had no interest in doing business with them. What a joke!

I used Preferred Plumbing today to service my two roof mounted air conditioners, move a thermostat to a back hallway and fix a leaking water pipe. They arrived on-​time, were knowledgeable and professional, worked quickly and did a great job. I was very pleased with both their work and the prices charged. I’ll be using them again when I have a heating/​cooling or plumbing problem.

My wife and I recently bought a house which came with a 30 year old water heater and a cast iron pipe with some significant corrosion and cracking. Not a problem as we were able to get the sellers to throw us some money to fix. And fix we did!
After getting a number of bids from the well-​advertised companies (TLC and Affordable Plumbing — HA!, what a misnomer, they bid the most!), I called Preferred Plumbing after a recommendation from a contractor friend of mine. I’m glad I did. Not only was their bid for the water heater lower than the others, but their hourly billing rate to fix the cracked pipe was lower as well. Hell, TLC told me they wouldn’t even be able to fix the cracked pipe due to access issues with the crawl space.
The plumbers showed up on time and were professional and courteous. They were able to replace the water heater and hauled off the old one in about 4 hours. While doing this, they also replaced the bad section of cast iron pipe in about 30 minutes. Very efficient! They left our basement and home cleaner than when they arrived and brought everything up to code.
I will be using Preferred Plumbing for all our future plumbing needs. They are great!
