Great, diverse, quality choices on the menu, and huge servings! They include fine ingredients in their food options that really make this restaurant feel high quality. The atmosphere of the people who go there to sit in comfortable seating and drink wine make it feel like you aren’t just in some little hub off of Indian School. We got bread and olive oil as a starter. I got the four cheese pizza, and it was a bit oily. My date got the pasta, and we both had enough to eat for the rest of the week.

First experience here, a new place not far from my residence. Friendly staff although the bartender never gave me a name. I hate that you know?! I don’t want to call you guy or hey man! To get your attention but if you give me nothing to work with what else am I supposed to use? I had the primavera pasta totally worth it, except for the fact that there was only one carrot! My wife had the pizza an for the name of a place to be piatanzi it better be damn good pizza! Am I right?! The pizza while it had decent flavor, the sauce was way too sweet and very chucky cheeses style. So lesson learned, if you name your restaurant PIATANZI make sure your pizza doesn’t taste like a place full of drunk adults and unruly children!

Went to Piatanzi last night for the first time. What a find! The ambience is modern and comfortable, the service was impeccable, and the food was just wonderful. The menu is big enough and varied enough to please everyone, and our server split the dishes for those of us who shared. I will definitely be back and recommend this little gem in Albuquerque.

Went for a glass of wine and an appetizer with a remodel/décor/design client on a Saturday evening, thinking we might not be able to find a seat. I think because it was right after New Year’s Eve we were fortunate and sat at the bar. We were greeted by 2 of my old friends, Steve Austin and Casey King. Décor/ambiance spectacular. Wine recommendation(Italian, dry red, big & bold) was spot on. Appetizer/side were roasted brussels sprouts with the most amazing«gravy» I have tasted in a very long time. Looking forward to my next visit and also to checking out their new location on Juan Tabo.

Food is great, I love everything I have had. Great choice in wine. 3 stars because service does not match level of food and the chairs are ridiculously uncomfortable!

I have been here twice. The first dish I had was like a soup with shrimp, a scallop, and some clams with gnoche. The taste reminded me of ocean water when it goes up your nose. I foolishly decided to give them a second chance tonight and decided to try their funghi e tartufo pizza. It was just as bad but even more uninspiring. It had zero flavor. It reminded me of making spit balls in elementary school. Chewing Xerox paper until it was a warm lumpy flavorless mass. I will not return. The service was mediocre at best.

I’ve tried this place 4 times and I’m always underwhelmed. It’s close to my home so I continue trying it hoping it’ll miraculously change. It doesn’t. The fourth and final time I called in a to go order. I looked the menu up online and called to be told that menu is old and the items I wanted weren’t available. Is it that hard to update your menu online? Pretty lazy. So the person recommended similar options. I ended up getting fettuccine with peas and pancetta(extra cost). After picking up my order, I opened up the fettuccine and saw plain fettuccine without the toppings. Of course I was charged for the extra toppings though. Live and learn.

This place is kind of pricey for lunch. The servings are ok and the food isn’t bad but it’s not awesome! I had the house special and my daughters enjoyed some 15 $ sandwiches. For a small sandwich and salad I thought it was a bit much! The location is peaceful along with the ambience. We received great service. Thanks to the staff.

This resturant was recomended by one of my foodie mentors. I came in at 8PM and sat at the bar. It was not very busy, but this is late for a Tuesday in Albuquerque. I was dissapointed that they were out of Peroni. My thoughts are, if you have a sign out front, you should not run out, or be prepaired to take the sing down… I ordered little necks with pasta. It was spicy, but I like that. After, requesting bread, really enjoyed the meal. The clams were cherry stones, instead of little necks. They were extreemly clean. The meal of substitutions was very enjoyablte.

Absolutely beautiful !!! Totally lovely and upscale and yet warm and not pretentious ! We enjoyed Terra and now LOVE Piatanzi — 10 star lunch — 10 star service with 100 star ambiance and chef prepared beautiful plated dishes. Our housemate meatball pizza with green chili as only Pete could create was soooo tasty and a wonderful glass of Corrales red — as only Rick and Mitzi could make ~~~ all in all a MUST visit.

Been here twice with friends. Service is very knowledgeable about the menu. Creative dishes that incorporate healthy foods. Crisp, clean atmosphere. Salads are great. In fact, this place made me reconsider beets! The crab stuffed and baked artichoke bottoms, diavolo sauce was heavenly. Looking forward to going back again and trying new things.

This place was great. Our waitress was great! All the food had excellent flavor good portions and lots of variety. Earlier review said not kid friendly but my daughter loved the comfy bench seating and her more than kid sized fresh pizza. We were just driving through town so it was a great find after a long road trip!

A superb pre theatre meal this past Saturday. Always very talented staff. Two of us has the salmon special and I had the pork special… all very delicious and prepared perfectly. Yummy dessert and mid priced nice wine. Bravo Piattini!

I’m amused by the décor, especially the way the bar is lit underneath because we need a well-lit lap while we eat and drink! A bit self-conscious but it is a style some like I guess. Food was good, only nitpick being the pasta cooked a bit past al dente. And no bread to sop up the remaining sauce? The menu accommodates vegetarians and includes a varied wine menu(including a variety of prices for different budgets), good. I think the menu misstated the price of my glass of wine, so you might check that. Noisy place — not a place for a quiet romantic dinner or conversation. I didn’t try dessert but the cappuccino was not bad at all. I would give this place another try or two.

It’s a shame, a darn shame. Although Piattini has a couple of things going for it, unfortunately no way can they justify the premium prices for lame attempts at Italian cuisine. I’ve been enough times and given plenty of chances for Piattini to hit their stride but now I’m convinced that they are convinced they have! The restaurant is nicely built out. There are some good wines offered. That’s it for compliments. Servers here are friendly but not necessarily competent. More than once I have had miscommunication that led to delays in the flow of my meal. Not MY fault. It’s an example of a management and training failure IMO. Have you seen that t-shirt that reads«I’m awesome! Just ask me»? Yeah, Piattini is kinda like that. Don’t get the Ceviche, its way too acidic and they throw tart Basil on it to exacerbate this. Don’t get the Crab Croquettes because these people don’t understand that Crab is mild and delicate and gets totally lost in the spicy Marinara it’s swimming in. Don’t get the Linguine Carbonara with the heavy handed overdose of black pepper and oil slick in the lower 1⁄3 of the bowl. And the prices of these«small plates» are anything but small. I could rip on Piattini some more but in the end it was my choice to go a half dozen times. If I had dined there on a date or with family then i would probably be pissed off. Things are easier to laugh away when it’s only my experience that gets butchered!

I was asking around for the best Italian in ABQ, and this was recommended. The restaurant looks high end, and is tucked into a residential area. I had the Linguini Pomodoro($ 12). It was a large portion but not memorable. The wine list and service were excellent.

Bistro Piattini was a great find! It is tucked away in a calm residential area of Albuquerque but close to the Knob Hill area. The staff was very attentive and knowledgable. We visited on Valentine’s Day and the food selection was a special menu so we did not get to see the regular menu. We chose three small plates and were happy with each of them. The steamed clams — excellent. The linguini bolognese was good but perhaps a bit too salty. The third plate we ordered was a trio of sauces — beef, lamb and turkey. It was delicious. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant again.

Just ate here again, the food was great as always! I took my dad here for the first time. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and just tried a few different things. The calamari is definitely my most favorite. It is perfectly moist and not to mention gluten free! I also highly recommend the king shrimp. The only reason I gave 4 stars, instead of 5 from last time, was the service was pretty slow tonight. They were great about getting us in right away, but our poor waiter seemed to have way too many tables. Also the kitchen was rather slow getting our food out. Our salads came right away and then it was nearly a 25 minute wait for the rest of the food. Not a huge deal, but it was definitely noticeable.

Have had the pleasure of dining several times and not once has this diamond restaurant disappointed moi! First off the ambiance is so New York chic very open dining experience the relaxing & hip seating area is very comfortable. Chef Lukes has been around with his other reputable restaurant«Terra Bistro» so I knew he makes everything with the highest quality ingredient. All the dishes that I have tried are amazing from the Olive Oil to the incredible delectable & insanely delicious sauces to the pasta prepared al dente and the lovely fresh Italian cheeses is what makes Chef Lukes dishes always stand out, you will only know if your palate is familiar… :) I have to disagree with the pricing being expensive as always you get what you pay for hands down! ~~ Piattini’s pricing is «PERFETTO» The plates are the right size as well, others may just need to feast at Buca di Beppo to gorge themselves freely! The staff is always attentive especially the gentlemen«Chris» always making sure your drink is full and offering anything that may make your dining experience more enjoyable, a true professional in the restaurant industry. I love that both the owners are present and hands on at all times, there are alot of people who want to be the Boss but wont cultivate their own business, so kuddos to them for running a outstanding establishment. I always look forward to my return at this wonderful & unique chic“Piattini” restaurant love! Ciao
