I’m a strong believer in loyalty, in today’s world that’s not generally a big concern anymore. Anyways with that being said when a company/someone does me right I praise them, recommend them, and go to them again. I’ve used Overhead Door on 3 of my homes now — Tulsa, Kansas City, Albuquerque. The first two cities were awesome experiences, the whole process plus the products(Kansas City metro is there«home base»). So naturally when I moved to ABQ they were who I turned to, unfortunately though without doing research first anyways. The«greeter»(Scott Symes) at the office building was awesome, I really wished that he could’ve gotten the commission from my sale, although I already knew the size and model and color, he was great — knowledgeable, friendly, helpful. The salesman(Korigan) that was sent to my house(reluctantly by me since again, I already knew exactly what I wanted when I was at the office) was terrible — cocky and didn’t care about me the customer just the commission he was making regardless, just not too personable. Considering his position that was very unfortunate. The first installer that was sent wasn’t the most quality — No attention to detail(either apathetic or didn’t know any better, I’m not sure). He just installed everything, barely, didn’t make sure it looked nice or was gonna last — wires literally just hanging or so much extra slack just stapled wherever it lied, door brackets were crooked not straight and secure, one ceiling bracket not even screwed to a stud. What good did it do me to buy an insulated door if it doesn’t get installed correctly(I still had to hire a different person/company to seal it up). He opened and closed the door once for me to prove it worked. He left. For some reason the wall button lost sync with the door(no big deal things happen), I started to look in the manual so that I could re-sync it, I also called the office to see if they could send him back out to assist me since I figured he was only 5 – 10 minutes out. A different installer showed up(Sean TB) fixed the issue easily, we chatted while he looked around at the installed products, he recognized the«quality» of the install and he instantly went to work and corrected most everything plus more. I was extremely grateful, restored some faith to me. I then wished that he and the greeter could 50⁄50 split the commission that the salesman unfortunately received. Anyways, I’d love to give more stars for the product itself, but I had a bad enough experience with customer service here that I cant justify it. Two stars is generous in this case. I don’t recommend Overhead Door of ABQ.
