I’d injured my shoulder from a fall over a year ago and had surgery on it, 4 months ago. My doctor’s scheduled PT was canceled because I’d achieved 95% range of motion on my own, but I’ve had a lot of pain while the torn muscles & tendons are healing… It takes a year for these things to heal.
The amazing thing is, this medical massage brings about a HUGE level of pain relief and allows me to continue my home PT and healing! What a relief it can be to let go of the pain! Liz has seen me twice and her expertise in myofacial release is gentle & makes this healing time bearable.

I had a prenatal massage here. It was nice that there was specialized equipment that allowed me to lay on my abdomen. However, when I placed my head through the face plate it was dusty. The therapist ate a food bar during my massage. The bodywork itself was okay, she did not get into my muscles or tissues. I looked at the clock pre and post massage, 45 min for what was supposed to be an hour, and I paid almost 90 $. I left a tip, and driving home I regretted it. I told my sister about it, and she said, «you should have told me I have been there for prenatal massage also, worst ever.»

I went here for a prenatal massage. I was impressed with the different cushions and pillows she had so I could lay on my stomach comfortable without causing harm to baby either. The hour went by really fast. I had to wait a few days to get a reply about setting up an appointment. I called first and heard nothing. Then I sent a text message and heard back. So text messages seems to work better. It was a little pricey for me. $ 75 for an hour without tax. So with tax and tip it came close to $ 90 something. You can leave a tip with cc there too, which is nice.

After my car accident I was in so much pain, unable to move, and needed help. I found Karla and Masterpiece Massage and called right away. Of course it was SUNDAY so I did not expect to reach anyone but instead I connected with the most warm, professional, kind woman who I knew was going to be able to help me and she was able to fit me in a few hours after my phone call. Thank goodness! Karla is helping me recover from my car accident faster than I could ever dream possible. I am a fitness professional so getting my body back and out of pain is very important! Karla has the most comfortable table, including infrared heat and you just get to melt away. I have had other massages but never one with such a gifted therapist such as Karla. A therapist who uses both her hands, intuition and experience in a gift of touch that you just don’t experience very often. Karla is a healer — driven by passion and professionalism she is caring, understanding, attentive, concerned, and AMAZING at what she does. I love massage and get them frequently, Karla at Masterpiece Massage has everything to make your massage a wonderful experience. First and foremost she has more than 20 years experience. Her massage room is peaceful and she has special bolsters to lay on so that you are floating rather than being squished on a a hard table. Compassionate, professional, friendly.

I am not sure if I will even be able to come up with enough positive words to describe our experience today. It was my daughter’s 10^th birthday party, and she wanted a spa party. Being the lazy Mom I am, I REALLY didn’t want to do it at home, so I found Bliss randomly on the Internet. From my first phone interaction with them until leaving there today, it was a great experience. There were five little girls and two boys. The girls absolutely loved their manis/​pedis, and the women giving the services were incredibly patient and knowledgeable in what typical 10 year old girls like. The salon itself is really nice, and there was a great little outdoor area for the other kiddos to play games and relax in while their friends were getting their services. All three mommies had massages from Michael, who was just fantastic. The salon had a lovely sign hanging up wishing my daughter a happy birthday with balloons, they gave them little goodie bags and even did their hair with color glitter spray and feathers — and didn’t charge for that service. The girls were absolutely thrilled (as were the boys!) and my daughter is a very happy 10 year old! Thank you Bliss for making her birthday party one to remember!

I had my first massage with Karla today at 32 weeks pregnant. I have had many massages in the past when I wasn’t an uncomfortable pregnant lady, but this massage was one of the best I have ever had even with me being this far along. She worked on every spot that had been bothering me and made a huge difference. I can not wait to go back! I think I have found my permanent place for massage!

I have had many massages from many different practitioners over the years and I would rank Karla among the best. She has a very nice, clean, professional space in an easy-​to-​find location. It immediately smelled good (like essential oils and incense) inside when I arrived. She had a waiting area that was well-​decorated and «feel-​good». She has other practitioners who work with her. When I went in the room for my massage, she was very professional in her demeanor explaining her table set-​up to me, reviewing the paperwork I had filled out about my physical situation and explaining how she conducts a massage. She had extra pillows on the table to lay on to support the chest and legs. I must say that the chest pillow was very comfortable. I enjoyed having a massage with extra support in that area as sometimes laying on a flat table it can get uncomfortable. She also used an infrared light on my back while she was working on that area. She told me that she used it instead of hot stones as it is more sanitary. Even though it was a hot day, the extra heat did feel good. She also used essential oils and some other cream that smelled good. I told her about some symptoms I was having in my neck area and she made sure to spend extra time there and used some special oils there. She also spent some time concentrating the flow of energy to these areas. She used just the right amount of pressure, not too hard that it hurts and not too soft that you can’t feel it. Karla accommodated an appointment for me with just a few days’ notice and when I arrived she had a sign outside saying that appointments were available today. I took my husband in with me and she was able to have one of her other staff work on him while I got my massage. I know that one concern people often have when getting a massage is how they will be treated when asked to remove their clothing. To alleviate those fears, please know that Karla will treat you with the utmost respect. She will explain to you what she does and how she does it. She will explain to you that you can remove clothing down to your comfort level and she will leave the room while you do it and get under the sheet. While she is working on you, all the other parts will remain under the sheet so you are never fully exposed. If you have an area you do not want her to work on, you can tell her and she will respect that. When she is done, she will leave the room so you can recover and get dressed. You can have ½ hour or at hour massages for sure and she takes cash, check and credit cards. I can certainly say that I enjoyed my massage today and that I smell and feel very good!

Karla is amazing. I have been getting regular massages from her since she moved her practice to Albuquerque several years ago. I would recommend her to anyone that asked, and have. Sadly I am moving away from Albuquerque and her massages are one of the things I will miss most.

I am a medical professional and I have had massages from many diffferent massage therapists. I can honestly say that Karla is probably one of the best massage therapists in New Mexico! Karla is an expert in so many different types of massage therapies, including, but not limited to: medical, relaxation, Arvigo and pregnancy massage. She is compassionate and has wonderful intuition skills. I always feel so relaxed after Karla gives me a massage…
I was in an automobile accident in which I was rear ended and suffered whiplash and back pain. I went to Karla for weekly medical massage treatments. Not only did I get amazing relief from my pain but I also had no out of pocket expense when I went to Karla. Karla was kind enough to bill the car insurance directly for her fees. That made the massage sessions even more enjoyable! Karla is amazing!

Sadly, Karla moved away from Atlanta and New Mexico is just a little too far to drive for a massage. :)
But, when she was in Atlanta, my husband and I enjoyed several wonderful massages from Karla.
She was great at making me feel comfortable on the massage table and I just floated away for an hour of bliss.
I also know that she has donated her talents to some non profit groups. Karla is not only talented, but she is a loving and kind soul.
