Massage Envy

I have had a few massages in my life, maybe around 4, but yesterday I started my massage journey with Carrie and she did an amazing job. I have been pregnant for about 2 and a half months and so I was very nervous about having a prenatal massage. I was worried that the pressure wouldn’t be deep enough to extract the miserable pain I was in (I’m a full time cosmetologist, so my body is a mess) but gentle enough to be safe for the baby! I can honestly I received the best of both worlds; she worked my upper back very well while being gentle on my feet. I have studied reflexology and certain pressure points can be hazardous to your unborn child, so she was certainly knowledgeable in her field and took caution! I have already rebooked for next month and I am looking forward seeing Carrie!

While in Ontario CA, I took advantage of my mother’s-in-law membership for a massage. It was fantastic! So, I went and sign up for one here. After a deep tissue massage with Theresa, I’m not disappointed. The staff was very friendly, and courteous. Love that if you don’t use the monthly massage, it «rolls over» to the next month. Due to several surgeries I have been getting massages for a long time in different places. The cost of the membership is the same or less than a service at other places, I have paid $ 50 – 75 for one hour, is a nice environment, and the therapist will get to know you and your needs.
Side note: I have noticed those people that always complain about others being «rude», very often, are the ones who treat others with disrespect.

Massage was ok but extremely rude receptionists. After the massage one of them asked me if I wanted to become a member and when I said no, she wasn’t very happy and gave me a receipt and didn’t even say thank you or anything even though I said thank you to her when she gave me my receipt. The only reason why I went there was because I had a gift certificate but the next time I get one it won’t be this location. They rip you off by giving you a 10 minutes less massage because that’s a consultation time. I think that’s a bad business practice. If the massage is an hour you should get one full hour massage, not 10 minutes less.

I moved to northern California about two and a half years ago. I called in mid October to cancel my membership because I’m not in Albuquerque anymore and rarely use the facilities in NoCal. Hallie, the woman who initially «helped» me said that she could have me make one more payment in November and then have 3 months to use the remaining 9 treatments that I had left. She told me that she would call me back to explain the process, but never did. The first call I made was 10÷15÷15. I called back 10÷29÷15 and Hallie was not available and I was told that she would call be back the next day. Hallie did not call. Through the next month, I tried to contact others and other facilities but was told that I had to go through the North Towne site.
I finally contacted Hallie today (12÷10÷15), paid one last payment and cancelled my membership. It seems that my 10.5 sessions that I’m due will never be used but at least I’m done giving my money to an organization that has no regard for customer relationships.
I started my membership with massage envy in February 2008.

I am reviewing the massage that I received today from Jill at the North Town location. The company policies at Massage Envy are less than honorable but I am not reviewing that right now. Jill was very attentive and professional. She listened carefully to my specific needs and provided a relaxing full body massage with no pain! In the past I have had to coach therapists at Massage Envy to lay off the pressure points and ease off bony prominences. With Jill, I was able to just enjoy the session and focus on my breathing and relaxation. It was a nice break from the norm. When you find a good therapist you can rest assured your sessions will be free of uncomfortable surprises and with Jill i am very satisfied. Thank you!

My wife and I went here today. It was my first visit to Massage Envy. Knowledgeable, friendly receptionist. My therapist was Marge (hopefully I spelled her name right). I told her a lot of my knots were in my upper back so of course I labeled my back as the biggest problem area. Not true. According to Marge, my biggest problem was my IT band and quads. She was very correct. I had Achilles surgery and my left leg is trying to compensate for the weakened right leg. So this causes my misaligned hips to pull my upper body forward. Usually when a body part hurts its because of another body part that is the issue. I’m an athletic build so I need strong hands to work out the knots. Marge applied the perfect amount of pressure consistently through the entire session. After the hour was up we signed up for a whole year! I’m definitely using Marge again.
Overall: This location on Wyoming is GREAT! Price was very fair, especially if you sign up for a whole year. Sign-​up fee was waived. They give Military and state employee discounts as well. If you do sign up as a member you can go to any Massage envy in the country. Rates might vary state to state, so you might have to pay a difference if any.

After a long drive while on vacation, I took a chance and set up a massage with Laetitia. Mind you, I’ve got all kinds of neck and back issues that have dogged me for years. I do get regular chiropractic treatment and massage; I’ve been around the block a time or two.
Laetitia blew me away. She’s been trained extensively in physiology and anatomy, and she was able to apply the knowledge about how the muscle tissues grow and connect. I had the best massage I’ve ever had in all of my days! I can’t recommend Laetitia enough.
I went back the very next day before I had to leave Albuquerque to get another massage. If you’re in Albuquerque, what are you waiting for! Hurry! Run! Go and see Laetitia.

This was my first visit to this location. My appointment was with «the most requested therapist» at this location. Zeke was a very nice, courteous, and relaxing therapist. He focused on my shoulders and neck, per my request. It was a nice treat!

This review is for Blair, who is a total master when it comes to massage. What sets him apart is that he not only knows traditional massages technique, but has also been trained in medical massage. If you are an athlete, or if you are doing some sort of muscular rehab, then this is the guy to see. I have a lot of posterior chain stress, and he was the first masseuse I’ve ever been to that addressed it from the anterior (front) of the body, rather than the back. Again, the guy knows his anatomy, and he has some tricks to open up whatever’s tight. Highly recommended.

I had such a great experience here! My cute lil’ Gramma gifted me a massage here, and recommended her girl ASHA.
She knew exactly what to do for chronic neck and shoulder pain — which I’m pretty sure 89% of overworked Americans suffer from. The price is totally right — but I feel like the actual massage therapist gets pain way less then they are worth so be a generous tipper people. They work so hard, and give so much. It’s important that we offer them some way to replenish!
I would recommend Asha to anyone. My Gramma likes her for her non-​aggressive and relaxing touch. I however enjoy a firmer pressure, which she did perfectly. I think she would be great to take care of all ailments.
