In the early 80’s, I was diagnose with a rare form of tumor cancer on my skull. I lost all of my hair through the drugs I was taking and eventually had to divert in wearing wigs/​hair units. Granted I had some pretty awful units until I met Darlene. We’ve been together for over 28 years and she has been my incredible angel. She was so helpful and extremely beneficial in terms of finding the right fit, units and styling. She is a wonderful sweet n kind lady and has been so good for me in assisting me in looking good in my professional career. I will always be grateful for her wonderful talent. She knows her products and very verse in working with clients in making them feel and look good. She’s the best in Albuquerque. Go girl!

I have been seeing Darlene, for my hair replacement needs for about 8 years now. If you are a women loosing your hair you know what I mean when I say it made me feel unattractive. Darlene suggested hair replacement, so I said yes because I was so tired of spending long periods of time adding Toppik every morning, end result I love, love, love my hair now, it looks natural and takes minutes to get ready in the morning. I now have a full head of hair and extra time.
Darlene is professional and personable, she makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in her door. I like that she has a private booth and she takes pride in her work.
I live in Las Vegas NV, I fly to ABQ to get my hair needs done with her because she is the best!

Michael is thoughtful and precise, and he takes as much time as is necessary to get your hair perfect. He has a great eye for what will work with your hair’s texture, your facial shape and your styling preferences.
I had been salon-​hopping for a few years since my former stylist moved away, and now, after two appointments with him, I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Really nice guy, too.

If you are unsure about what you want or even if you know exactly what you want this is definitely the place to go to. More specifically Michael is the one to go in and make an appointment with. I’m the type that literally never knows what I want in a cut and put my faith in the stylist. I’ve been going to Michael for about 3 years now and have never been disappointed with the level of work he does. I’m usually there early enough to see whoever is before me and can say the consistency of his work is definitely unparalleled by anyone else I’ve been to before. Stop by and make an appointment with him, you definitely will be glad after you do !

I’ve been trusting my hair to Michael Baker for four or five years now and will never see anyone else. He listens to what you ask for and then gently suggests something that may better suit your face or your hair type (and he’s ALWAYS right!) and his color skills are amazing. I always get compliments on my highlights. I’ve sent at least 4 friends to see him and they all love him too. I even made a special appointment for him to style my hair before I had to have professional head shots taken. And they look amazing! Go see Michael. You can thank me later.
