Came to this location after a few drinks at the bar. Seemed like a good option for some early morning grub. Wasn’t expecting anything extraordinary but also was expecting some recognition. When we walked in the door chimed and we waited to be seated, and waited, and waited. It wasn’t until a customer who was needing their check called for the server that we even were acknowledged. We were told to grab some menus and have a seat wherever we would like. Now I could understand if it was busy; however there were two other parties there aside from ourselves. Anyway our server came took our drink order and said she would be back per usual protocol. We chatted for a few and eagerly awaited for the return of our server which wasn’t long. I ordered the turkey club with no cheese and no mayo, a simple request. She even verified that request a moment later. Well when our food came it had no only cheese but also mayo. Being nearly 2 in the AM I didn’t feel like making a big fuss so I scraped this off and ate my meal. We then continued to wait for our server who went MIA while more people were entering and not being seated immediately. Again it was nearly 2AM and the restaurant was not busy yet. I could understand if the kitchen was busy and the staff was trying to accommodate; however, this was not the case. Our server was not rude, the food tasted good and the price was comparable. I’m not sure if this is an isolated incident or if this happens frequently, either way I think the evening shift needs to be evaluated.

It’s an IHOP. Slow but friendly and attentive service. Food was per the usual, came out as ordered. Very clean interior. Good experience, would recommend

Big waste of time. went in to get a to go breakfast for dinner. there were only 2 tables sat so we THOUGHT it would be quick. boy were we took at least 10 – 15 min to just place the order. the we found out our order was completely forgotten. we could hear them all the way out actually took 45 min to get our food. i don’t see us going there for a long while. we will just keep going to village Inn where they know what customer service is.

First time eating at this location and tried to order fried chicken but to the surprise they were out! I guess with this being Monday they got cleaned out this weekend. I know this didn’t happen tonight there was only one other customer. So here we sit waiting on our meal for 25min, after food was brought to us we didn’t see our waiter again till we got our check. You figure someone in corporate would read these reviews. I started with a 2 for a review but dropping to a 1 and WILLNEVERCOMEHEREAGAIN!!!

Later on a Sunday morning, extended family in tow, this was a bad choice for breakfast. They weren’t exactly busy, but it still took a looooong time to get service, and we had to track down the manager to get our drinks and eventually food as our server just vanished not long after we were seated. Let’s face it, there are much better choices for breakfast in ABQ, and if you’re settling for IHOP on a Sunday morning for no reason other than convenience, you probably won’t take this review seriously either. I will say the manager took charge as soon as he realized there was a problem, and even grabbed another server to get our situation straightened out somewhat quickly. Aside from order screw-ups things came out randomly or not at all. Our group wasn’t terribly large — about 10 people — but some were done eating before others had(most of) their food. As for the food, well… I don’t care how good it looks on the tv ads, it’s a waste of your time to order the specialty anything. the portions are much smaller than you’re led to believe, and it’s actually kind of bland, even when it’s got ‘fruit’ on it. Look, if you’re starving at 4AM and can’t make it to Denny’s or VI, IHOP will do the trick. But if it’s literally any time of day when other places are open, you should go there. Owl Café is just up the street and Eubank, and Golden Pride is like a block up Central. If you’ve still got your dignity, or don’t have an AARP card in your wallet, skip this one.

One star because I have to put something. Twice I’ve been here and both times the service was terrible. I’m not even going to go into details. Just don’t eat here, our last visit was so bad we got almost a $ 30 tab comped by the manager. I think that speaks for itself.

Got fast service, but 15min after placeing order found out they were out of salad, then 10 min after that we found out they were out of hamburger buns! Wtf is the manager at this location doing, obviously not his/her job especially after reading the other reviews.

Uh? .rude on the phone . I should’ve known better. called in a pick up order.. 15 mins I show up to get it. try to pay and they can’t break a 50. No problem.. I hand them my debit card. he says… uh. Well the ticket already said the foods been paid for. so I can’t void the cash and take a card now. … wtf? Ok? I’ve never heard that before but whatever.. So he asks me. to drive down the street to a gas station or something to get change.. To Come Back and pick up food that would’ve been sitting for around 20 to 30 mins after everything. Lol Uh no. I’ll pass. I dont eat at theses kinda places much for a reason.

Service is usually fairly attentive and kind. The food is average, nothing to write home about or anything, but it’s a chain not a small company, so I don’t really expect superb quality from that. What I do like is how quickly I’m seated, that whenever I look a little down, someone is always there to give extra effort to make me smile, and their rewards program. The free birthday food and but one get ones are always a plus. Basically the things in this second paragraph are what earns it 4 stars instead of three.

Possibly the worst IHOP I have ever been to in my life. Out of milk? Are you kidding? Food was cold and not very good.

I’d give it zero stars if I could. My family and I have been to this location a number of times and have had many bad experiences there with rude managers and being out of food. It had been awhile since we’ve been back but figured we’d give it another chance… bad idea and we won’t be going back to this IHOP location. The first thing that occurred was the hostess complained that we would like the empty booth right next to the table that she set for us. It was a fairly empty restaurant and seemed like a reasonable request as we had our one and a half year old son with us, so the booth is better for us… but she seemed to feel otherwise. My mother ordered the brioche, which was a special for awhile and now is being marketed heavily, and we went to IHOP specifically for this. They were out but said they’d make it with french toast. We were disappointed but figured we’d try it. Then my father ordered the crepes and the waitress said they were out. To this I responded, how are you out of crepes… can they not make them? You are a breakfast restaurant and have eggs right? The waitress went and checked and they said they’d make them but by this time, we said we’d pay for our coffee(the waitress said we didn’t have to pay) and go. The funny thing is that one other time, this same location was out of crepes. I still don’t know how that’s possible… I guess they use a pre-made mixture and don’t know how to make them fresh. Anyway, before we left, I asked to speak to the manager. My goal was not to get anything for free but to inform her that this is not the first time we’ve been there when they’ve been out of food and that they put their employees in bad situations when they have supply issues. I was met with a defensive manager who made excuses and didn’t take responsibility for this. My guess is that that is the problem with this location… bad management. The only good thing about our visit was that the waitress was nice… I felt bad about leaving because it was not her fault but the fault of her employer. We left and went to the IHOP on Menaul and Pennsylvania, which was packed, had the food advertised, and had great service. We know which one we will go to next time.

Best avoid this I-Hop location. Every now and then we give this restaurant another try and always disappointed. Poor service and cold food. To the I-Hop wait staff credit they recognized our experience was bad and comped our meals.

Great service and good breakfast food. Very clean. Good location on Central Ave — old Rt 66. The 2−2−2 breakfast and gravy/biscuit order was more than enough for two.

Disappointing to say the least. We promised my kid IHOP before my wife returned to San Diego and since this is the closest to his school and our house, we went here instead of the usual Gibson-Sunday Morning location. We were greeted after about a minute and got seated. We knew what we wanted immediately and ordered our meals when we sat along with a couple coffees. 25 minutes had passed and we did not see our waiter again. My wife noticed that a few couples that had came after us were halfway through their meals. We called over another waitress and asked if she could check on our food and she walked towards the kitchen but stopped to answer her cell phone! Our waiter finally came back to the table and after we asked about our food he replied«Well, it will be out in a minute»(Shrug)… You kidding me? We’re talking simple eggs and hash browns here. So five minutes later some… some…of the food came out and it was cool. Not cool like Han Solo in a pair of Aviators cool, cool like it was cool to the touch, much like the coffee was. At this point the wife is very unhappy, not only due to the slow food, and it was cold, but also the lack of concern from the employees. After asking for a manager the final portion of my wife’s meal came out, 45 minutes from when we arrived. Needless to say, no food was consumed here, and we headed out. I honestly would rather spend the money at a more expensive place like Flying Star than have my son’s last breakfast before his mom leaves be ruined by someone that has no pride in their work. Now, if you work at IHOP, or Denny’s or any other budget diner type establishment, take some pride in your work, it doesn’t have to be 5 star food for you to show some class at your place of work. take ownership of your, and your kitchens, mistakes, and stay off your cell phone in front of customers. Of course the Flying Star Breakfast Hash was excellent after wards…

Great servers yet incredibly awful food. Seriously. Order a club sandwich: Three mini slices of ham and a crappy Kraft single later… you have a 39 cent sandwich you just paid 8 bucks for.

The food is good, but I wouldn’t recommend going to this IHOP because of the poor service. Most of the times I’ve been to this IHOP, we were ignored by our waiter. Go to a different IHOP, and you’ll be much happier
