Our food was excellent. One of us ordered bbq ribs, mac n cheese and green beans. The other ordered a #9 Burrito… green chile, potato, egg and cheese.(best!!). Also a side of chicken… very good tasting and crunchy. Give them a try you’ll love it. Total bill was like $ 18(including drinks).

It’s spotty here. I’ve had good, cheerful service, and I’ve had grumpy, impatient service. The tacos are better than average, and the green beans with bacon would be tasty, if the green beans hadn’t been cooked into mush. Whoever packed my to-go order didn’t quite close the green beans cup and packed it on its side, so there was a bit of a mess when I got it home, and they gave me a spoon to eat them with. The tacos kept the trip from being totally frustrating.

This is suppose to be sorta famous in Albuquerque They just pull off a pre made luke warm breakfast burrito from a huge pile. My burrito was missing all ingredients except cheap frozen hash browns. Three hours later my butt is red and sore and my bathroom is mad at me.

Not the cheapest place in town but there is a reason the parking lot is full. The ribs are wonderful and if you take out you might think your car smells like heaven. These smoked ribs are as good as any smoked ribs I have ever had. Just try it! Warning, this is a lousy part of town and I was approached by bums 3 times while in the parking lot. Just tell them you are busy and go get the ribs!

Golden Pride is definitely one of my favorite restaurants EVER! My go to is the #2 carne adovada breakfast burrito. This burrito has just the right amount of carne adovada, potatoes, eggs and cheese. Their Western Hash Browns are also amazing. I like to pick up an order and cook an over medium egg at home and let the yolk drip all over the potatoes, cheese and green chile. Their green chile, although not super spicy is always incredibly flavorful. I cannot say enough about their cinnamon rolls. They’re ooey, gooey and AMAZING! Running late to work and didn’t have time to make breakfast? No problem, head through the drive– thru and be in and out in less than five minutes. Another popular burrito, their #9 with bacon is okay. Although when I do go with this option, I find their bacon to be undercooked and definitely filled with more potatoes than the #2. Their chicken is also great. While I prefer their smoked chicken, the fried chicken is also a good option. Their BBQ sauce is sweet with a subtle spice and they’re ranch beans are loaded with flavor. I appreciate the friendliness of all of their employees and have never been disappointed with any of my countless Golden Pride experiences. An all around great establishment whether it be for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

I’ve only been here for breakfast so can’t speak the other parts of the menu. I will say if you want quick service and good burritos for breakfast this is the place. I’ve had had different ones and have not had a bad option. Service is great and the staff is friendly. This is a great local place.

I’ve been to the ABQ many times and other than enjoying the climate, I always love the food. It’s hard not to gain a few pounds from the«New Mexican» food in this city(and yes there is a difference from Mexican food). But if you’re looking to give your taste buds a break, Golden Pride offers a good alternative. A colleague introduced me to this place and I decided to come back after several months while visiting — it did not disappoint. The chicken and ribs are outstanding; I personally like the rib plate with a couple sides. Can’t beat tender and well seasoned ribs. You can still get your fix with the all day breakfast burritos and some of the classic dishes you would expect when in New Mexico. The place is large and also has a drive through. Check it out.

My favorite local Albuquerque fast food place! Although they sell chicken, they are best known for their New Mexican food and ribs. Their burritos are great, their tortillas are awesome and their green chile stew is top notch!

In another universe where all world culture was New Mexico, this would be our quintessential cuisine. Breakfast burritos of all types, Mexican food with the one true chili(red), and fried chicken. Sometimes it’s the number 11 burrito with green chilies in the drive through for breakfast. Other times it’s the chicken enchiladas with the fresh-made tortillas at lunch. The fare is always consistently excellent and affordable.

My top 10 list for Golden Pride 10. Dinning room is very spacious and clean. 9. Lots of choices from their coke machine to their selection of food. 8. Great Breakfast Burrito! 7. Best Golden Pride in the city in my opinion. 6. Sister restaurant to Frontier; need I say more. 5. Friendly and helpful employees 4. Mexican food(Great green, red chile, and hot green chile salsa) 3. Superior Mac and Cheese(one of my favorites and I’m very picky about my Mac and cheese) 2. Fried chicken(it’s very yummy) 1. Consistency; I’ve been here a lot and it always stays the same. I really enjoy this place for that reason!

Love the tortillas! Carne adovada also is delicious. You know what the whole menu is delicious. Fried chicken, ribs, green chile stew. They have family size portions available too. Has a drive thru and its speedy! Never had an issue with golden pride. Love this place

Save your money… this place isn’t bbq… i guess its Albuquerque’s version of bbq but the people who like this place probably never had that good of food. It’s easy to please people in NM with food, just about anything tastes good to them… they seem to think burritos are God’s greatest invention but seriously the customer service here is average to below average. If you want good bbq go to Rudy’s which is TX style bbq which is how bbq should be. ;)

Love the food besides the lack of veggies. If you are a meat, potatoes, and chile person of coarse you love this place. The quality is always expected but the service at this location is horrible. The man that took our order through the driveup Windows was rude and short with us and then when I got home and looked at our order I realized they messed up again on my order. Apparently they think half a pound of ribs consists of one rib that weights only a ¼ lb. It was a tastey $ 7 Rob though but not worth the effort or price.

Gross. The chicken was super greasy, the green beans completely inedible, and the potatoes and gravy tasted like cardboard. I guess the fountain drink was OK. Maybe the ribs and BBQ are better — but I won’t be back to test that theory. Go to KFC instead — same quality for cheaper.

This place is fast, clean and the staff is friendly. I go to GP at least twice a week for their smoking deal on the carne adovada breakfast burrito, and I typically take out of towners here for breakfast.

The carne adovada burritos are the best. Every time I stop by I get one and every time they are delicious!

Great Breakfast burritos. Came highly recommended from the locals; a little skeptical at first but the burrito lived up to the rep!

Average chicken and sides. Nothing to go out of the way for. But good, quick service, and a wide variety of soft drinks.

Word of warning. don’t get a breakfast burrito unless you’re eating it there. As fellow Elite Keith said, they just grab a pre-made and drop it in your bag, viola… and yes, it’s always cold. the ONLY way to do it is get it there, and get it smothered… and by golly, it was pretty darn good. I had sworn never to go here again after my experience w/the«pre-made» BB at the lomas location, but met family here a while back(i think this is the biggest location they have) and it was darn good. also got a cinn roll, wowzers, that sucker is like diabetes waiting to happen! yes, I enjoyed every bite of it too… excuse me while i look for my insulin… oh yes, the cinnamon roll. light. fluffy. buttery. sugary. did i mention buttery? yes, it’s good.

My husband and I love their breakfast burritos! We always get the #9 with hash browns, bacon, eggs, cheese and green chili. It has just enough kick. They also serve frontier cinnamon rolls that have butter and frosting. I love that you can order through the drive thru. The service is always super quick and the food is fresh and hot! THISIS A MUSTTRY.
