This is the first time our dealership has used Garduno“s for catering and we will definitely be using them at least one Saturday a month! Generous amounts of food and very flavorful. Sometimes when it comes to catering the food doesn’t have a lot of flavor, but this wasn’t the case with Garduno“s. I put salt on everything and didn’t add any extra salt to my food. We had chicken, beef and cheese enchiladas, chicken and beef tacos and chips and salsa. The chile has some heat to it, but that’s how it should be. Our entire staff was very pleased with the spread. Thank you to the catering manager, Manny Gonzales, for reaching out and making this happen!

We went to lunch today. I had the Carne adovado chimichunga and my wife had the huevos rancheros. The service was good, the chips and salsa was tasty. Meals were delivered in a reasonable time. My food was good but my wife’s meal was very salty… she ate most of it but was very disappointed. We have eaten here before and for the price you would expect moe consistent food.

Garduno’s of Mexico — Albuquerque, New Mexico– I am totally blown away by this place and the service we received here today! I can’t believe there are so many bad reviews. All I can say is that while they probably felt justified in those reviews, or whatever experiences actually happened, this place is seriously committed to excellence now, and pretty much always has been. So we came for a family birthday party on a Sunday afternoon, no reservation. They accommodated our large party quickly, even though they were decently busy. Our waiter, Ivan, was one of the best we have ever had anywhere. He was prompt to get drinks to us. He was very prompt to get everything to us! One of our party had something odd in her food. Simple mistake, didn’t make a big deal out of it. She brought it to his attention, and without any questions asked he showed the manager and took it back to the kitchen. They brought a new one out in about 4 minutes, and it was fresh and delicious apparently. They even comped the whole plate even though it was just a minor mistake and was really taken care of us by getting a new one sent out. The buffet was great as well. I didn’t have it but the whole table pretty much had it. I had a piece of a couple bites from their plates of different items and they were so tasty! So again, I don’t understand the hate. This place is fantastic!

Love the coconut margaritas! So delicious and unique. The honey and toasted coconut rim is super yummy. The nachos(with ground beef) are also very good but just a fair warning about the jalapenos as they are on the HOT side for sure. The menu is pretty decent but not overly impressed with the enchiladas or the rice. But still a decent meal. Service at this location is usually pretty good. The place is clean with a friendly environment. Price is not too bad either. Convenient takeout entrance in the back, however, I find sometimes the order is not always right and we have to wait even after calling it in. Nothing beats a relaxing evening with my bestie and a coconut margarita! I wish other places made them too. They are definitely my all time favorite.

Coconut margaritas… yummo. :) The chips and salsa are good! Food quality is hit or miss. Not a huge fan of the buffet; sometimes the food is overcooked, sometimes it’s good. Waitstaff is always wonderful, which makes a difference.

Shame on you Garduno’s $ 17.50 for a burrito? Felt like I was a tourist in Santa Fe. I also asked why the couple that does the mariachi are no longer allowed to go anymore, and this was the one of the reasons I liked going back for they were entertaining. I guess these reasons is why it was empty on a Friday night. For both reasons, I will not return, no atmosphere and $ 17.50 for a burrito.

Good music, pleasant atmosphere, slow service, way over spiced food, confusing presentation, too pricey. Almost 40 dollars for lunch and never got close to expectations. Will not be back and do not recommend.

Very, very salty… So weird! Everything was over salted the three times I’ve been. The table side guac is great but the food is underwhelming, generally bland and good service is hit and miss. Don’t waste your time or money.

Quite possibly the worst food in town. The service was decent but nothing impressive. We had a party of 10 and over ½ of us were uninterested in eating more than half our plates. The shrimp and avocado cocktail was old shrimp in ketchup without the avocado! The green chile stew was greasy, the shrimp salad was inedible, and everything with the exception of the salsa was bland. Avoid at all costs.

I wish I could give half a star, because this place is terrible. We had to come here for a family thing(not our choice). Had a salad with«Diablo» shrimp and it was not spicy or even tasty. Tasted like it came from a can and very bland. The shrimp and avocado cocktail was thawed shrimp in ketchup, minus the avocado. Tourists beware! Do not eat here, it’s not a good, or decent for that matter, representation of New Mexican food. I’m still baffled that there were people waiting for tables. Go to Sadie’s or El Pinto if you’re looking for hokey authentic Hispanic food and atmosphere.

If you wanna drink go here. But the buffet is inedible. Frozen enchiladas at Walmart beat this cooking hands down. The good news is that the food is so heavily salted you can invite deer to eat it. Absolutely bad food. Now that’s not to saw you can find excellent Mexican and new Mexican cuisine in Albuquerque… You can. Just not at Garduno’s. Go to To Mamitas as a top Mexican spot and food trucks and booths outside of the city. O’Niels has better green Chile cheese fries with if that can satisfy your cravings. Be daring and eat real New Mexican food on a snowy day out in Espanola off Chimayo. Damn that place should be a chain. Why can’t Albuquerque get the bar and drink thing right? Tomorrow, for me, it’s gonna be Mariscos Altamar on Coors. Slow service but worth the wait and the price. Good fresh Mexican food made the old south of the border way

Overall a good experience and good food, but the portions have gotten smaller. I miss the consistency of the wait staff uniform. Still one of my favorite places for Sopapillas.

I was looking forward to trying this place for happy hour, but don’t waste your time. It was a Monday night and the place was empty. Maybe it was just an off night or maybe I have high expectations, either way it was unacceptable. Our server gets two stars, the restaurant gets zero. Beer was cold, margs were just ok — after we sent one back, food was shoddy… when it finally arrived. Took ten minutes to get someone to take our order, another ten for our drinks to come out, and our food took another twenty minutes. Go back to the drawing board and try again Garduno’s.

A super clean environment and always so accommodating! Service is always great too boot! Their Mexican food is usually of great quality. At least I’ve never been disappointed with anything I’ve ever ordered anyway. Their Steak Fajitas are stellar and I order them almost every time we dine here. Chips and Salsa are always a great indicator for me and theirs don’t disappoint! Their drinks from the bar are delicious and fairly priced. Their ice tea is always fresh too. Yet another great indicator to a fantastic meal. My partner had the Monterey Chicken today and she really enjoyed it. No complaints! There are great flavors to be savored here folks! So try her out soon if you haven’t been here yet! They also host Paint Night on Friday I think. What a great way to spend an evening!

Serviceable food, sweet and addictive sangria, really nice sopapillas(possibly because they were the first ones I tried on my visit). I probably wouldn’t have liked it as much if it hadn’t been for a boisterous group of eight and servers who played along and humored us, staying friendly and helpful even as we were there past closing.

Marginal at best would describe this local chain. Food is below average and the kitchen is slow. Service was good and atmosphere is ok. Got tostado sand they were not crunchy.

It has been a really long time since I’ve been to a Garduno’s. I had a ridiculous incident at a different location which has kept me away from the franchise overall. Last night I was convinced otherwise and our visit turned out alright… — waitress was very nice — Cucumber margarita was tasty — food was pretty good — chips, salsa & sopapillas always great! A couple things that weren’t my favorite… — our food took a very long time to get out — it was so hot inside that we were sweating by the time we left — the pricing was a little high for«mexican» food The jury is still out on me going back.

Their food is good, good chips & salsa. Everyone is always so friendly when we come and there’s never a wait. The margaritas and good and strong. Not very big but still tasty. I’ve been here about 3 times since we moved to Albuquerque.
