The employees where extremely rude and did not want to help at all. When a customer would walk in, they would make them sign in, sit there for 5 minutes, then instead of just helping the customer themselves, they would say«she will help you after she’s done with that customer». Like literally there where 5 ladies and 2 customers so they were just sitting there talking. The only reason I tried this place is because my dog chewed up my glasses and my insurance wouldn’t pay to fix them. I just needed a pair to get me through the rest of the year. While trying on the glasses, the employee would say something mean about every pair I tried on. I’m not an ugly girl and glasses usually look good on me so she had no reason to make those remarks. The sticker on my glasses said $ 75 but the total of the glasses were $ 154. At my optimists office, the price on the sticker is the price you pay(before tax and office fees). When I asked the employee about it she was very rude and defensive. The positive part was that they were very fast. 17 minutes for my glasses to be ready to go. However, when I went to pick up the glasses, they made me sign in again and I had to wait for someone to help me even though none of the employees where assisting customers. When I left, I said thank you and told them to have a good day and they didn’t even reply. I will not go back again.

Called ahead to confirm that they accepted my health insurance and was informed that they did. After the exam, I was informed that, no in fact, my insurance wasn’t accepted at that location and they didn’t know what I was talking about. In addition, staff was unfriendly, abrupt and didn’t smile once. The doctor was pleasant-however I was told the new frames I brought in were too damaged to put a new lens in. I went across the street to Walmart who put a lens in them without blinking. Highly dissatisfied and will not be returning. As an update to this review– I picked up my glasses from Walmart and the prescription was very very wrong-so I had to return and get reexamined then the new prescription had to be put in my frames. I have been wearing glasses my whole life and this has never happened to me. Wish I could give less than one star.

Ridiculous service. Total bait and switch. I went to EyeMart off Carlisle because they had a promotion for Buy One Get One Free if you use insurance. I checked their website for accepted insurance. VSP was listed. When I walked in, I should have known I was in for it… The lobby was busy. I waited over a half hour to be seen. As I waited, I listened to the conversations around me. They are a HARD sell. Many of the people in there were senior citizens who are likely on a fixed income. I listened in as the salespeople tried to nickel and dime them to death. I also checked out the frames. They are CHEAPCHEAPCHEAP. The reminded me of the sunglass frames at Dollar General or Walmart. I did find two pairs that were acceptable at $ 99.95 each. I felt that was a deal, since I was getting one pair FREE. When I sat down, I gave the saleswoman my personal information so she could get insurance authorization. First problem… She tells me that the BOGO is only for the $ 19.95 frames and basic plastic lenses.(So, the ugly bin). She then stepped to the back for verify insurance and came back to tell me that my allowance for a frame was $ 40…(It’s actually $ 125 with VSP). That the polycarbonate lenses with antiglare are $ 98(Should be $ 40-$ 60). Anti-scratch, another $ 29.95(no clue what it should be. I always get Crizal lens treatment since it does all of the above). I attempted to show her my benefits summary. She explained that they are OUTOFNETWORK for VSP!!! I ALMOST stayed and paid out of pocket since I have a few hundred dollars in my FSA that I need to use by the end of the year. Unfortunately, she was such a sarcastic, unapologetic little twit. What a disgusting group of people.

If you are gonna go here, block off at least an hour of your day to just PLACE the order. Sat around for awhile. Watched a few of the employees stand around while they watched customers trying on frames instead of helping other customers. Nay I say.

I’ve been to this location a few times, and I continue coming back based on the prices alone. They have the best prices on prescription glasses hands-down. So you may be asking«what’s up with the two stars?» Well, every single time I’ve gone; I’ve had to wait close to an hour just to meet with an associate to pick out my frames! Followed by another hour wait when I return to pick up the glasses! Just a word of advice: do not go on the weekends because the amount of customers is ridiculous. If you have a flexible schedule, I recommend going during the week. The wait times are far less. Other than that, I’ll repeat myself, the prices are basically unbeatable!

I went to the Carlisle store in Albuquerque. They have an excellent selection of frames from inexpensive to «Oh my Gawd». Friendly, quick service. I’m 66 years old and this was the first time in my life that I got a new pair of glasses that fit me perfectly from the start, no fiddling around on my part with the ear pieces to make ‘em fit better. I’m returning soon for a 2nd pair.

I can’t recommend Eyemart Express highly enough. For what I would have paid for one pair of glasses at my doctor’s office(and would have to wait for), I got TWO pairs, one of them sunglasses, the other one with anti-glare coating, all done in an hour. They have a one year warranty on the frames and lenses. The staff was very friendly and patient, and my glasses were ready exactly when promised. They can get a little crowded, but you can browse while you wait and there’s plenty of chairs to sit in. If you need to collect on your warranty, you can go to any Eyemart Express in the country(convenient for a military family like us). I was very pleased with my whole experience.
