I would give no stars if possible. My husband and I bought a very nice treadmill($$$$) and set up delivery. I took off work and waited from 12 – 4 for the truck to show up. At 3:30 the driver called to let me know he was on his way. At the door he informed me that I didn’t pay extra for«white glove» delivery and he would leave the 360 pound boxed treadmill on the porch for me. I asked him to wait while I made a phone call. Dick’s corporate at first said that I messed up and didn’t ask the delivery service(ABF) for the«extra service.» I hopped on their website and read the information back to him that it is the Dick’s sales associate that«sells» the delivery and assembly packages. Caught in his lie, he put me on hold and said he was trying to get someone to help me. After 15 minutes of hold I hung up because the delivery guy, anxious to get to his next job(?) was knocking on my door. I called the local store and asked to speak to a manager. A man named Chris eventually got on the phone and acknowledged that I was in a pickle. But there was nothing he could do since I didn’t buy the«white glove delivery.» How could I if it was never offered to me? It was never explained to me by ABF or by anyone at Dick’s that«delivery» means: we will leave it curbside. If I am willing to spend a small fortune on a treadmill why would I not also pay a little extra to have someone bring it across my threshold and assemble it?!! Run away from any large purchase from Dick’s!!! UPDATE: after plastering this review on social media I was contacted by a very nice lady from Dick’s corporate. She worked very hard to understand where the breakdown was and she has remedy the treadmill assembly issue for me. Thank you so much Theresa!

Word to ya momma: Coronado mall, er, Center, needs Dick’s. If you want a decent, rather inexpensive alternative to some of the specialized sporting goods purveyors in Uptown, hit Dick’s. It’s what you’d expect, national/international brands for every sport you can imagine, and they have a little local love for personal trainers and brands, but not much. I consider this outlet, which is somewhat expansive(one sprawling floor) the go-between when it comes to Big 5(really cheap and unapologetically foreign made) and REI(way too expensive and wanna-be local, but still foreign-based). For our family’s needs they don’t offer anything(not that I saw, anyway) for the small kiddo’s; youth is somewhat represented, but this is mainly for the older, self-motivated home athlete. Prices are precisely mid-range, and there aren’t many sales, save a few clearance racks. For Coronado Mall, er, Center, it offers the best selection around.
