I have rented from property management firms for the last half decade and Deacon Property Services are one of the best. Having just moved to Albuquerque I checked out a few different property management firms and Deacon Property Service was by far the best. Their employees have been courteous, professional and very helpful at making sure my family and I found the place we were looking for.
Once we found the right place for us we almost didn’t get it because of a snag, Kyle, the owner stepped in and personally made sure we were all setup.
Thank you to everyone at Deacon Property Services, you made our move from Portland Maine to Albuquerque New Mexico so much easier than it could have been otherwise.
I highly recommend using them to help you find the right place for you.

As an out-​of-​towner considering housing options for an upcoming move to ABQ, I noticed that most of the listings I was seeing online were posted by various property management company, not owners themselves.
A listing from Deacon caught my eye, so I sent them an email, and within a day the most friendly property manager I think I’ll ever meet called me back. Kristin was the first person I talked to in ABQ, and she made me really excited about the move. She wanted to know exactly what I was looking for, gave me information on neighborhoods she thought would be a good fit, and let me know that I could call her if I had any questions about anything related to the city.
She encouraged me to continue looking at other listings and that she would also send me things as she got them. It was then I found a seemingly perfect house, but it was through another management company. I told Kristin thank you for all the help, and she was happy we’d found something we liked.
When emailing back and forth with the new property manager for the other house, we had a bit of hesitation about whether this new property manager would be a nice person to work with (they had awful Unilocal reviews, and their emails were getting progressively more rude). We contacted Kristin to let her know we might be looking for a place still, and she offered to check out the house we had found with the other company. She went and saw it that very same day, told us her honest opinion of it, which was that it was great and that she couldn’t do better in the time we had left.
Needless to say, we were VERY impressed with how kind, genuine, and helpful Kristin was. We’ve lived here now for about 6 months and have met some wonderful people in this city, but it was Kristin that really set the tone. If we move again, we’ll be looking to rent with Deacon.

We have rented from this company for almost two years! They have been great from the beginning. Kyle, the owner, and his team have always responded promptly and been extremely effective and professional when we have a concern regarding the property. The maintenance team has always been quick to fix our issues. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for quality commitment and top notch service!

The agents at Deacon are super friendly and listen intently to your needs and wants. We are new to Albuquerque and Kristin not only showed us some great locations, but she even gave us a map of the city and helped explain the area, neighborhoods and culture. The personalized touch was beyond our expectations!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Don’t use this company to manage your rental properties or rent from! The write up did not say the bedrooms were upstairs, if it had I would not have wasted my time to look at it. The condo was on San Antonio and Chaz, one of the employees, was 15 mins late because he was lost! REALLY — you manage this unit and you got lost?! He did not knock before entering the condo and once we were inside the resident came down from upstairs — thankfully he did not have a gun! Soon I learned we were in the WRONG condo and Chaz didn’t have the keys with him for the actual condo. Needless to say, once I realized the bedrooms were upstairs, this guy didn’t have his act together because he got lost, AND he entered the WRONG condo without even knocking first, I knew I would not want to rent from this company!

Rented a house from these guys for $ 1650 a month. Poor response to service requests which included having to replace an entire air conditioner condensor due to their lack of action. House was dirty upon move in and in general disarray. Kyle, the owner, is not responsive to women and he would regularly dismiss my wife’s concerns as trivial. Upon move out they nickel and dimed our deposit which although petty was to be expected due to our contentious relationship.
Would not recommend.
