Day Spa & Nail

THIS IS A REAL REVIEW. NO BETTER CALL SAUL JOKES HERE.
Now I will say, I am a huge fan of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul and seeing Day Spa & Nail on the latter is what first caught my attention. This place is a real place just a couple of miles from my office and offers men’s haircuts, so I figured I’d check it out some time when I needed my mop trimmed.
The store is family owned: husband and wife (as far as I know), kid, and mother/​mother-​in-​law. The husband does the haircuts, at least the men’s haircuts. He also does manicures, though he confided in me that he likes doing haircuts because they get him off his rear end. Sorry guys, no young girls filling up the place.
The haircut was around $ 11 as I recall and, especially for the low price (but for any price really), he pays an impressive amount of detail to your hair and is meticulous about making it look good. For instance, he recommended a #1 clipper right around the edge of the sides and back to blend better transition from the #3 clipper trimmed areas to my neck. That doesn’t sound like much, but it’s the difference between a neat, sharp trim and one that’s kind of sloppy. He had the same level of attention to the rest of the cut, but that recommendation stuck out in my head because no one had made it before, and it really did make a difference.
In summary, if you’re looking for a well priced men’s haircut with excellent attention to detail, come here. Sorry I can’t speak to the mani-​pedi stuff; I just came in for the haircut.
One possibly disappointing thing: There is no cucumber water. Sorry.
