I can’t believe this place hasn’t been previously reviewed. I came here a few times in high school and college and upon moving back to NM, discovered that they are now located just a couple of blocks from my house(lucky me!!). I saw students when I first started coming, alternating between Crystal Mountain and Universal Therapeutic Massage. I stopped seeing students after my last visit to UTM on my wedding day where I paid for my bridesmaids and myself to get massages only to have my therapist-in-training be a big, burly male who had a nasty cold and cut my massage short by 20 minutes. Anyway, I digress. I’ve been to Crystal Mountain twice since I moved back, splurging on 90-minute full-body, professional massages. The woman I see(I’ll leave out names) is really nice, timely, and although I wish she had a firmer touch in general(in some places it’s perfect, in others a little weak), she can do what no one else can – she can put me to sleep. Both times I’ve seen her, I’ve dozed, the last time while she was working on my legs. I never fall asleep like that, so she has a magical touch. I believe she does a bit of hospice and elderly massage, so that must be why her touch is so nice. CM has various levels of therapists(this stolen from their website): Student intern massages cost $ 33 for one hour. Graduate massages cost $ 48 for one hour. Professional massages cost $ 65 for one hour. Couples massages cost $ 110 for one hour. My 90-minute massage was $ 90 plus tip. I’ll definitely go back, hopefully more frequently. The facilities are quiet, clean, and cool, so don’t be afraid to ask for a blanket. Message me if you want the name of the therapist I’ve seen. Enjoy!
