Kathy is simply amazing! My fiancé bought my engagement ring here a few months ago with her help and I am absolutely in love with it. The ring needed to be sized just a tad smaller. I brought it in on a Thursday morning and was headed on a flight back home to Texas the next day. Cathy made sure that I got my ring before I left! I could not have asked for better or more professional customer service from all of the employees at Crown Jewels and Coin especially Kathy!

I came in a couple of months ago to look at engagement rings. I also had some old jewelry I was considering using to make a custom ring. After meeting with the manager, Kathy, I knew that she was an expert with jewelry. The diamonds I had wouldn’t make a very good ring but she did give me an honest opinion on how to better utilize the diamonds for other jewelry and even offered to just resize the ring for me if I insisted on using the ring with sentimental value. Even in this situation Kathy was not pushy and did not try to force me to buy from them. She wanted me to do what I felt was best and would be the most special for my fiancé.
After talking with Kathy awhile I saw how genuine she was, so I decided to look around the store for a ring. Lo and behold I saw the perfect ring that I knew my fiancé would love! At this point she still wasn’t just trying to make a sale and wanted to make sure I was really happy with my decision.
The icing on the cake was that Kathy was willing to work with me since I was from out of state and only in town for the weekend. I didn’t know my fiancé’s ring size so I had to wait until I was with her to get her size. Kathy held on to the ring for me until I could let her know what size to make it and she overnighted it to me! It was a great experience overall and made what I was expecting to be a nerve wracking situation very smooth and worry free. I know the business is also a local Albuquerque business and not a chain and I love supporting local business!

I recently relocated to ABQ from LA. I needed a go-​to place in ABQ after doing business with a gold/​silver buyer/​seller in Studio City, CA for almost 30 years. My new go-​to place had some big shoes to fill and I struck a home run with Crown Jewels and Coin. The staff behind the desk are so friendly, courteous and professional. I’ve sold some silver there, and bought some turquoise. On many occasion, I see very happy brides-​to-​be (and grooms) working with the staff for that special ring. I’ve recently started what I call the «Kathy» collection of turquoise. They have an amazing selection of turquoise jewelry hand picked by Kathy (store manager). i had some gold and sterling silver that i no longer wanted and some of it was damaged but it was gold. i was referred by khristine at changing closets in corrales. we went to two other places too to get a price today. we met with kathy the manager. wow what a jem! she was the only person that told us in detail how she came up with the price. they had today’s gold and s. silver prices on a board. glad we came here. she gave us by far the most cash for my jewels. she was just really nice and up front and knowledgeable. don’t bother going anywhere else but here. save your gas ok?!! going back with more stuff asap. thanks kathy, jane & john

What can I say but what a joy it is to shop at Crown Jewels and Coin! This is the only place I would ever consider bringing my jewelry for repair, upgrading or finding the most amazing antique and estate pieces. the staff is wonderful and they are great about calling me when they get something in that they know I can’t live without!

I came here because of the great Unilocal reviews. My favorite ring was run over and I was devastated. They repaired it and did an amazing job! If you need something precious repaired, you should go here. My ring was an antique and in bad shape. My ring now looks better than it did before it was run over. Kathy Vidal, the manager said it would be beautiful when they finished and she was right!

I have been coming here on and off for several years and I have never been disappointed. From jewelry purchases to jewelry repair, they do it all. I have even sold a few pieces and they always pay the fair market value for the price of gold or silver.
They carry a wide array of diamonds and colored stones, and a huge inventory of traditional New Mexican pieces. The staff are always friendly and will help you find what you are looking for.

Went into crown jewels and took a vintage watch ladies 17 jewel 14 karat gold to get some information on the maker Enzo. Spoke to a guy with glasses and I explained what I had he told me about this referred me to no one. What an idiot working at this place I don’t never go back anybody else not to go

I had a very frustrating experience with them. It seems that no one there has the same information! I got different quotes from different associates that the manager would not honor. I was very disappointed with them considering all the great reviews.

We had my wife’s wedding ring adjusted there. The service was good, prompt and the price was reasonable for the job.

I’ve never had a good experience in a jewelry store. Most of the time, employees are aloof and standoffish and make you feel uncomfortable for trying on pieces you probably won’t buy. Not so here. My experience looking for a necklace here was relaxed and fun and the employees answered all my questions while letting me try on pieces at my own pace. Will definetly be returning!

I bought my engagement diamond from them, and they also helped me custom craft the band. The appraisal came in about 50% higher than what I paid — a total surprise! They were nice and friendly throughout the entire process, and they also have other good silver jewelry that I ended up impulse buying as birthday and xmas presents.

Very fast and friendly service. I Sold a gold ring that I never wore, and received about 85% of its value — pretty good if you ask me. They also gave me a card for 25% off my next jewelry purchase from them (so, I know where I’m going to buy the wifey’s christmas present!).
I don’t have a lot of unwanted jewelry lying around, but if I did — I wouldn’t hesitate to take it to Crown Jewels.
