I also chose this place because of the good reviews. I was very disappointed. Went in for a gel manicure. The man who did my nails did not soak my cuticles for more than 2 seconds before he started cutting away. And the water he used to «soak» was cold. He cut me a couple of times while trimming my cuticles and did a very quick/poor hand and arm massage. I will not be back.

I was really excited to try this place based on the reviews I saw on here, but I was disappointed. I got a deluxe pedicure and he was really abrasive with the scrub he used. The masque they used on my legs felt nice but the towels used to remove it were way too hot. He used a dremel tool on my heels which was uncomfortable and unsanitary. The massage was mediocre and he didn’t even rub my feet, which is one the reasons I even get pedicures! I was supposed to get a manicure but after the poor service of my pedicure I didn’t want to deal with it.

This is a FANTASTIC place to get a manicure and pedicure for a reasonable price. The location is easy to find. The space itself is nicely laid out in what seems to be an office park but with shops instead of offices. The pedicure spa chairs and tubs are clean. The room is super open and nicely ventilated. This is a family run operation that a kind Vietnamese family owns. Mom, Dad and 2 sisters along with a happy staff. Mom filled up the pedicure tub watching intently as I dipped my toes in to make sure it was the right temperature and altered it to perfection. She then asked me if I wanted a magazine and went to get it for me while her daughter, Britney started to work on what proved to be a lovely pedicure. I had some x-mas gift money left to use and knew as soon as I walked in the door and saw a woman nearly passed out blissfully in a pedicure chair that I had chosen wisely. Many of the staff speak limited English, including Mom but she knows enough English to make the experience professional and inviting. Britney, one of the two daughters, speaks English very well and told me that her family has been in Albuquerque for about 5 years and they love that the people here are so nice. She is a local high school graduate and had a great experience in their ESL program. Hurray APS! I opted for the Deluxe pedicure that for an extra $ 7 included a scrub with mineral salts and a mud masque that was heavenly. They massage your legs and feet and wrap warm moist towels around your calves for both the deluxe and regular pedicures. Britney did a fun hibiscus flower on my large toe and was very gentle when cleaning up my winter-worn tootsies. Britney’s massage was perfect and you could tell that she cared that you were feeling good. Ditto with the manicure experience. I live in the University area and decided to make the trek to find a new place for the new year and thank goodness I did! The whole shebang cost $ 42 before tip and I was given a punch card that when you spend $ 22 or more you get a stamp. 7 stamps gets you a $ 15 gift! All the more reason to return!

Came here while I was in town visiting family. Great pedicure! Salon is clean, staff is professional, friendly, and not pushy. Did I mention that I love my pedi? I will definitely be back!

Leaps and bounds superior to all the other cute and trendy nail places cropping up all over Albuquerque. Don’t expect glamorous décor, do expect excellent service where they actually care about doing a thorough and fastidious job. Tracy was fantastic, I came here after reading another Unilocal review as I was frustrated once again by another sloppy pedicure from another salon. Pay the extra $ 3 for the salt scrub and that combined with all the extra scrubbing that’s included will leave you with the skin of a baby. Highly recommended.

the best nail place not just in albuquerque but EVER. I’m not kidding… my pedicures last for ONE month! Complete worth the price. They do try and up sell you for things like foot scrub but other than that its amazing! I used to drive from the northwest side of Albuquerque because I could not find a salon that was even close to this one.
