I visited this location in a rush while looking to buy some shoes. Thought the idea of a chipotle inside of a mall was awesome. As a former employee of chipotle, I know what standards the employees are supposed to meet. Therefore, I have high expectations each time I go. When I got to this one, the cashier seemed like she hated her job. Didn’t bother with what we wanted to get. When I got chips with my order, they weren’t cooked properly. They were still soft. I didn’t even bother with telling them because I knew they didn’t have any other chips to give me as a substitute. The shelves weren’t stocked. Everything was a mess. It made me sad to see that no one cared here. Especially with it being so open, in the food court, they should have everything set up to look appealing.

It’s actually difficult to give this Chipotle location a 3 star rating because I love Chipotle and I am SOPSYCHED that a healthier option has been added to the Coronado Center food court. But here’s the deal. This location was a 4 star. All the way up until I sat down with my food and realized my Coke Zero was flat as a pancake. No big. It happens. But here’s the rub… I returned to the counter with my small Coke Zero and the two girl knew immediately what was wrong. «The carbonation» they said. They offered to give me tea, lemonade or water and since I don’t drink any of those choices but water, I requested a water. They apologized and gave me a glass of water. But no refund on the Coke Zero? No offer at least? Let me be clear, I most likely would not have even bothered with the refund if they had offered, but it wasn’t offered. In my mind, that’s a business, taking my hard earned money for nothing. If I walked up and asked for a free taco… I wouldn’t get one. So it seems only fare. It’s the principal really. If this is the current mentality of the employee, then maybe I’m not the only one… and my $ 1.80 is more substantial. The food was Chipotle standard as usual. Delicious. Hit the spot. I’ll most likely return, but hope that Chipotle might read this and do some training.
