Cell Doctors

Well I took my phone in to this place because of a broken screen due to dropping it, figured I would give this place a try because it was cheaper than going through insurance. I was uneasy about having cell doctor do the repair because I wasn’t sure if the quality would be as good compared to a factory repair and now I realize it was a mistake. The guy did the repair in about 30 – 45 min. Picked up the phone and it looked good but later the sides of the screen lifted up. I live outside of Albuquerque so it’s a bit of a drive to take it back and it was working so I let that go, big mistake, something in my pocket must have come in contact with the lifted sides and cracked the screen. The phone was still working so I put off going back. The screen just kept cracking and cracking till the touch part of it stopped working. Finally I decided to call cell doctor to tell him the story and to get it replaced under warranty due to the screen not being attached correctly causing it to break easily, (it broke in my pocket, didnt drop it didn’t mean on it, none of that).He told me it was my fault and that he wouldn’t warranty it because I broke the glass. Explains that my phone had never broke just sitting in my pocket next to my keys and that it was because the sides had lifted up and probable came in contact with something in my pocket. He didn’t not want to hear what I had to say, refused to warranty it and here I am today writing the review, don’t know what else to do. Don’t go to this place unless your desperate and understand your taking a chance on getting less than a quality services on your phone. It cost over $ 100, just pay the extra and go through the insurance. The guy had a bad attitude as well when I tried to explain that it was nothing I did. I don’t recommend this place, maybe other places do better work I don’t know.

Went in to fix my phone because the screen «popped out» of the phone. The gentleman working fixed it right away and didn’t even charge me for the minor fix. He seemed very knowledgeable and the rates he told me for an actual screen replacement are very comparable to other places in town. He was also very nice.

If you are looking for a quality cell phone or tablet repair, look no further. Owner Levi is friendly and professional, as is the rest of the staff.
Having experience repairing these devices, I was pleased to see this shop has a properly set up work area (ESD safe!). It’s tough to find technicians who care more about the integrity of their repair than Cell Doctors!
