Consistently solid burgers, especially with green chili. Chili at this location is in the«mild» side most days… dunno why:)

With each Blake’s location you know it’s going to be clean, food consistant, and speedy service. Favorite meal is the breakfast #4 burrito(eggs, potato, cheese with red or green chile) with double red chile; so tasty! Strongly recommend asking for extra crispy hash browns so there’s a little crunch because they’re not burnt or anything, just keeps them from being soggy. If going for lunch/dinner, the bbq pulled pork or chicken sandwich are great with the seasoned fries. Most locations have the yummy crushed ice and self serve soda.

I really don’t understand why people eat here. I gave it a try when I got to town because it appeared to be local fast food and, in Austin where I’m from, that usually means it’ll be incredible. Wow(in a bad way). This place should re-register with the Secretary of State and be called Blake’s Crap-a-burger. If I pay for food, I usually choke it down and keep moving in life no matter how unspectacular it is. This is the first food that I ever ordered, paid for, and then threw away almost immediately. The burger was a squashed soggy, lukewarm mess of mystery meat and old vegetables. The fries were served as a side to the grease…

This place reminds me of a local chain of burger restraunts back home(Burgerville). Fresh paddies, fresh vegtables, ETC. The burgers were tasty and were eat’n fairly quickly. The burgers for what they charge are very big. Lots of beef was a real plus with me. The onion rings were very good as well. While you are here in Albuquerque grab a burger here, it will be worth it.

I can’t say no bad against any Lota burger some say that’s blasphemy. Although I’m not one of those that say that I do say you will get a good sized burger at a good price. When ordering you gotta make it a double and add the green chile. Then the seasoned fries(ordered separate) just complete the meal to make your burger the most satisfying burger you will sink your teeth into. The fact that Lota is only in New Mexico makes it that much better.

Great green chile cheese burgers! Love the fries too. I like that the patty is on the thin side. There is a great balance between bun, patty, tomato, lettuce, onion, etc. Fans of In’n’out burger in CA will like Blakes. Beats all the other fast food burgers easily.

If you want a quick burger while in Albuquerque, Lotaburger is the answer! No need for the other big name drive-thrus when you can«shop local.» Blake’s opened its first location in 1952, according to their website. It’s basically the New Mexico equivalent to In N Out. A local burger stand, with a very simple menu, that cooks the burgers to order.(tip: add cheese and green chile) Back in the day, when I lived in Albuquerque, I used to call it «lota-condiments» and it’s true, the bun and toppings exceed the beef. If that’s a real problem for you, I suggest ordering a double! Also, worth noting: they don’t put ketchup on the burgers. This is my preference anyway, but if you like ketchup on a burger, you’re gonna need to ask them to add it. The fries are skin-on and have a special yummy seasoning. In addition to burgers, you can get another NM classic: the frito pie! And, I noticed yesterday that the offer a breakfast menu as well. Lotaburger is not the best burger you will ever have in your life but as far as fast food burgers go, it kicks some burger booty!
